Title: Chinese food
Music: Some weird flute song that doesn't relate to Chinese music
Me: **visible confusion**
Not chinese I think its Asian
·Loa fz· the recipe is chinese
😂
How the recipe is Asian but the music is Latin
😂😂😂😂
BAHAHA IKRR
😭😂😂😂👏🏽 yuP
Lol 😂
Bieassia Law Why be concerned about it
I'm happy I was not the only one thrown off by the music
The music confuses me is it Latin-Caribbean or what?
Looking for this comment before I wrote it🤦♀️
it sounds like a shittyflute version of latin music
The food is for Chinese New Year just ate some lol
cassie li lmao I’m so stupid I thought they were asking about the food XD
Why does the music matter she's trying to show you how she makes the thing the.music doesn't even matter are you there to watch her cook or listen to the music
You guys make it look so easy!! 😅❤️
Moxie Beast ASMR because it is
Moxie Beast ASMR IKR! The process is so long and they have so many good and the right utensils
It's called Editing.
I have made that once in home but it is harder than look like...
It is easy, me and my friends cook this at school
I'm Thai who lived in Namchieo, the city of 3 cultures (Thai, Chinese, Muslim) This reminds me of the chilhood 😍 It was my favorite snack. So yummy
Have you ever thought about creating a channel dedicated to teaching kids how to cook? Like competitions. It could be a RUclips series! I would love to see that sense I am a teen chef myself. I’ve been cooking for so long and I finished all the episode of top jr chef, etc. I need something more😂
You might not notice this but it would be nice if you did
Edit: Thank you for all the likes!❤️ Didn’t expect this idea to get so many x3
That actually is a really good idea
Delina Mulugeta Thank you!
That's sounds nice!😄

Patata Chung how on earth did this get 2 likes(disincluding me), Lena?
This is honestly my favorite! I always order this in Chinese restaurants for dessert. Now I'm craving.
In Indonesia, specially Central Java, we called another variant of this as *Onde-Onde* and originated from Mojokerto.
(Without red beans, but mung beans (thanks for correcting it!))
Farhan Syafiq Fadhillah yeah.. I living in mojokerto, in this city onde onde is a famous snack..
not lotus bean, but mung bean (called kacang hijau). if you plant mung bean, it will grow into a bean sprouts (called tauge), not lotus :)
It's mung bean
Mungkin ini makanannya dibawa dari china ke Mojokerto oleh para pedagang Tionghoa dulu
betulllk
Im just kinda confused with the song they chose. Doesn't sound chinese AT ALL
Does it have to?
@@NasyaAyudianti in this case yes. It's a culture dish
@@Jayariee exactly.
i know right? it sounds like one of those shittyflute meme songs LOL
ok can you not be disrespectful to another culture’s music
In Indonesia we call onde onde 😂
Moza Mardiansyah with mung bean filling 😝
Don't claim it as yours please
@@degreatal i just said in Indonesia we call onde onde, not say claiming from to be Indonesia.
@@degreatal hmmmm maybe you have to read this comment word per word
Maybe take it as precautionary advice... Because it will be ridiculous if we indon (im indon btw) cry out loud when our food also available in other countries and became their local culinary. Meanwhile our food also came/influenced from many other countries. Now you guys learn about cultural heritage and influences.
P.S other indon write on the other comment that onde2 *"originated" * from mojokerto
One of my favs! We call it Buchi in the Philippines
in malaysia we call this kueh bom and instead of sweet azuki bean paste, we stuff it with coconut flakes that is stirred in a special melted sugar called gula melaka
That sounds amazing
yep i dont like these but i sure like pau
This is also available in Malaysia, in Chinese dim sum restaurants
never seen what you described as a Malaysian.
@@hc8714 im sorry to hear that mate, go the streets you might find them :)
Homie with the flute solo needs to relax
this was my favourite childhood snack! thank you so much for creating this. there are also other flavours such as green bean paste and peanut!
Ohh damn they look scrumptious!
Lmao that word tho 😂
They sure do & I don’t even like beans
They are. I'm Vietnamese so I get to eat them a lot
Fan of Too Much same, they are goooood
Well I went to this Chinese restaurant in Australia and it was like a dough ball cause there was nothing inside but still it tasted amazing
Love of Chinese food from a Vietnamese
-4 Subscribers with 1 video me too 🇻🇳 chúc mừng năm mới 💛
Happy new year!
Korean u mean
I loved the chinese themed music...
People said it was Latin music, though
Olising i do to, too bad we didn't hear any. 😂😂😂
These look delicious! They're one of my favorite treats to make! I'm excited to try them with red bean filling!
Oh I used to love eating this as a young kid, this brings back the old memories of when I ate these I would be playing around with my family
The music is me practicing my recorder in 3rd grade
Soaking overnight is optional btw!! Its just to make it faster to boil but it would take abt 30mins without soaking it so its not too much of a deal
In Indonesia, it's called onde-onde. Filled with any kind of peanut are fine
Happy Chinese New Year y’all
Omg, I LOOOOVE these. I always order these at the local Chinese restaurant. They’re soooo good 🤤
THESE ARE MY WORLDS #1 FAVORITE FOOD- THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!
I so desperately want to make these! I can get them rather cheap at my local international market, when they're in stock, but I'd love to try them made from scratch!
Most Asian countries have their own variation of this (e.g. different fillings). This originated in central China during the Tang Dynasty and became more popular in southern China as a popular dim sum dessert/snack. It’s called “jīn dēui” (in Cantonese) or “jian dui” (in Mandarin). Literal translation is “fried pile.” Besides red bean paste, sweetened black bean paste, lotus seed paste or a thick custard are other filling options. As well as ones without any filling (hollow).
That's jin dui and it's freaking awesome!
THESE THINGS ARE INCREDIBLE. I could eat like twenty in one sitting... a guilty pleasure for sure. Maybe I shouldn't learn how to make this...
OMG its onde-onde ❤
red bean is my favoritee! especially as a mochi filling
Thrown by the music but love jindeui so thumbs up anyway
I love Chinese food
The crispiness must be amazing on this.
it’s not lmao
Guess im the only one who likes it ;D oh and theyre best freshly fried, they taste and feel kinda sad if stored away and eaten again but its ok 👌
My grandma buys these for me all the time. I don't like them that much but I love the shell of it.
Wut do yall call it in ur country?
In the Philippines its called bucci
MrGUAP Gucci
Buchi kasi hahahaha
Kuih Bom or Onde-onde 😍
I spell it buchi xD
Buchi, man. Not bucci. What, got a gucci or somethin? xD
Yaaaas I’ve been looking for a good sesame seed ball recipe for forever now I’m so happy☺️☺️
In Indonesia there is similar dish called onde onde..so delicious but we use mungbean paste for filling..
We sell these at my work and I've recently become a FAN
I bet, I would love to try them too
Is that Latin music I hear... in the Dim Sum recipe video? Strange... maybe I'm wrong.
Is that a comment about a dim sum recipe I see... on a CHINESE FRIED SESAME BALLS recipe video? Strange... maybe I'm wrong.
jen riverhouse this is just dripping in bitterness lmao 😂 I don’t know if it’s a joke or if you’re trolling but I’m enjoying it, to say the least.
@@thecanadianiphone4 glad you enjoyed lol
@@jenb7198we use dim sum as a general term for (usually sweet) snacks
Oh sheeeeeet who remembers eating these as kids in the morning
I usually don’t like sesame, but these look delicious!!
Finally here it is, my favourite dessert
That's like onde onde
Looks like Confucius inside bowl with flour. I like it.
In the philipines we call it "buchi"
Give the person who chose the song for this video immortality
The flute is making me really hard to concentrate and trying not to laugh 😂
ive always loved this ever since
I think i did eat them once in Vietnam but they use green beans in stead of red ones
OMG these are my favorite things in the universe
it is like street food in Indonesia, said the Indonesian people is onde onde
but the contents are peanut powder
A lot of Indonesians (including me) said that this is similar to Onde-onde but the fillings is slightly different.
Yes! My childhood right here!
Great video!
My all time favorite dessert!
Very nice 👌
A friend from China made these for a party I was at and I forgot to get the recipe!! Thank you!!!
Like onde-onde
My fav dessert at my local all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant 😍😍😍
Onde-onde...
I like the ones with the yolk inside
My mom makes these for me to eat
Can we be friends?
SuperAsain Dude well yeah your username tell us
Lucky
My mom use to buy them for me 👍
Juicy ‘ we get it , you don’t have to keep going on
My wife eats these all the time and I never knew how to make them until now. Thanks!
onde onde😍
I like these with meat, beans, cilantro, and carrots. That the combination I had the first time and I've never said no to one after.
Chinese sesame balls, uses salsa music.
One of my favorite desserts
Jin dui doesn't typically have brown sugar. Love the original, wonder how these would taste
And those were HUGE
dani_13 The color looks off to me. I wonder if it’s because of the brown sugar?
@@sherryillk most definitely. The brown sugar turned the dough brown. And then frying it made it darker.
In Malaysia, we call it kuih bom and it is not common for us to find a kuih bom with red bean fillings. Coconut flakes fillings can be the alternative for the red bean filling. The coconut filling tastes a bit more sweet as the recipe calls for both brown sugar and white sugar. Also, it is more fragnant because the use pandan in the recipe!
Nice
👌
Wow! Now I know how to make my childhood favourite!
Mmm food wars irl
It’s like a Dunkin’ Donuts bit it’s a chinese version. Both delicious 😋.
Onde-onde
My Lola (means Grandma) would always find a way to smuggle a ton of these in her LV purse from any Chinese buffet
😂😂
Awww Im here to see how to cook but I can't cook it cuz I don't have that ingredients
Same with me :(
STEP1: GO TO YOUR MOM
you can just buy then at a local oriental store
@@GEERS-xt5dg "no honey there's food in the fridge"
Wow! These are a labor of love. Looks good!
did you know that in Philippines its called butchi
You re-awoke a need for these. I used to go to a Asian grocery store with a friend and we would buy these every time, they’re sooooo good.
This is Onde-onde In Bahasa Indonesia
Taste so delicious when it fresh. Just like how mom use to make.
Why is there Latin-american music in a Chinese fried sesame ball recipe video?
I miss this!!! In malaysia we call it as kuih bom. The feeling is anything from sweet coconut flakes to spicy anchovies. LOVE IT. #malaysianboyinaustralia
Do you know what a wise librarian once told me?
didn't work u made too many spaces
I KNOW THIS ONE
👌
I hope the wise librarian told you to stop posting this same lame joke every damn day. It's old as fuck.
We have this too in Indonesia, it's filled with mung beans! So good!
Hi 👋
Dacid 912 congrats ur first!
BlackVortexX thank you 😊
My favourite dessert growing up!
no offense but...
.
.
.
That looks overcooked tbh
We call that "Buchi" from where I come from.
Really? I thought the reason is because they use brown sugar instead of white sugar
Oishii Banana!
Nahhh
Even if it were white, both sugars would caramelize and turn brown anyway.
Also, look at how thin the glutinous dough became. 😂
They cooked it a little too hot and too long.
Edit:
You may make the dough thicker when fried by adding some baking soda ;)
You're then guaranteed with sticky, stretchy, mochi-like, and non-crusty buchi
@@nootnoot2342 u r right. The oil is too hot. I can see from the color of the sesame seeds 😁. I never use baking soda in my sesame balls. I always use 2 types of flour. Glutinous rice flour and rice flour, so it will stay soft aftr a day
Oishii Banana!
Ahh! なるほど。。。
I see. Also, I might try your recipe hehe. Thank you!
I tried this before it’s so good even tho I hate beans it’s gooooooddddd
Whats the matter Tasty can't find a royalty free Asian song?
Next time use a K-pop or J-pop or whatever-pop song for your Asian dishes...😜🎵
Not all Asians are alike! Canto-pop would be more appropriate for this video. 😉
@@wctoronto You're absolutely right! Sorry for my ignorance, Canto-pop would be the best choice for this video.
Thats so satisfying 💗
The music is nauseating it's totally the wrong genre. What can I use instead of red beans?
you can use any number of things but there isn't much that tastes similar to red beans. candied coconut is used in other places
Mung bean paste or finely ground peanuts should be alright. A lot of people mentioned about it in the top comments.
The one I eat always had mung bean paste as a filling, because that's the only ones I could find at that moment.
this music is a bop
this is not a common Onde onde, you use potato for that recipe. This is just Buchi because it only uses red beans.
Wow, these look great! In my home country of America we call these something in a Chinese resteraunt that we don't know what it is but it's really good!
Those are my absolute favorite!!!
happy chinese new year everybody!新年快乐!im chinese and i love this
I’ve always wanted to know how to make these because my mother passed away before I could get to learn. Thank you, Tasty! 💕
