    You should buy a monthly pass at a good gas station like Holiday that’s what I do 30$ a month unlimited touchoess 0 possibly of micro scratches. It’s not worth risking it just drive through and wipe it down with a soft cloth made to dry car off. If u have bugs on front use high pressure spray to get them out the cracks then through the touchless wash.

      @@Nicole.Sissona single hand wash can create scratches that go as deep as 1/10 of the paint thickness. Cleaning products can damage your paint and make it dull. If you keep your car waxed and buffed every 4-5 months a touchless will not hurt the paint.

    nice one, but the thing is, it doesn't really matter where you wash it, as a mechanic, what really matters in the long run is the buttom end of your car and the engine bay. I've seen countless cars with shiny outside but terribly rusty lower end and extremely dusty under-the-hood area. Those dust and rust are gonna eat up your frames, connectors, screws, brackets and a lot more, costing your more money you've saved from DIY washing your cars

    • @Nicole.Sisson

      I try to wash under the car and the engine bay a few times a year. How would you recommend going about it?

    • @tianic
      @tianic Год назад +3

      @@Nicole.Sisson common household water hose will suffice. Try using regular flow instead of high pressure because the force is gonna let moist into the connectors. cover your battery poles and alternator when you wash the engine bay. Do it every few month to half a year. I live in a place with a lot of snow maybe that's why I saw too much rusty cars.

      False. It absolutely matters where you wash it. A crappie automated car wash can damage your paint as stated in this video. That being said, washing the undercarriage is also advised, and safely washing engine bay is ok also. The methods are not mutually exclusive to each other

    You didn't mention how many microfibre cloths used to dry the car. If you keep using the single microfibre cloth it's obvious that there will be streaks. Also you did the drying all the way last for all parts?! By that time the car will be dry

    I don't get this, you covered the vehicle in plastic? You could have put a ceramic coating on the vehicle or used a ceramic turtle wax. Sometimes less is better, in the cruel hard north when the temperature is just above freezing we take a 40V Worx power washer with a 5 gallon pail on rollers and just wash off the salt, sand and grime off with warm water. Just so you can read your license plate, the headlights and tail lights can be seen. Or you could just put snow in your micro fibre cloth and scratch the mud off the plastic and glass. The problem is most presure washers break when they're stored below freezing and most people don't heat their garage so they're useless 6 months out of the year. The Worx cordless power washer can be stored indoors, you just slap on the batteries and you can wash every car in the block.

    • @Nicole.Sisson
      @Nicole.Sisson  Год назад

      I do a lot of freeway driving so I invested in a paint protection film for the front of the vehicle. I like the idea of ceramic coating but it would provide very little protection against rock chips.
