I built an AP 201 build for my rx 7800xt and built another rig for a spare 6600 I had using the NR 200 and I would guess that the AP 201 is about twice as big.
The mesh side panels, same as NR200P works so well with RGB. It just gives it a nice glow. I love putting a led strip around the bottom, back and top on the user side. It gives the case such a cool look during dim lit room lighting. This seems like a fun case to build in too!
First review I have ever seen by you and I must say it, was very well organised and delivered. I really liked the labelled time stamps so I could skip ahead to the part i was interested in. Very well done sir!
Several years ago I really got into SFF builds (my favorite was a build I called the "cube" which was a true gaming PC), so I'm really attracted to cases like the one you reviewed.
I really like how this case looks, and it is compatible with a 360mm radiator which is going to be more important than ever for high end systems these days with increased CPU power consumption and heat output.
360mm is absolutely not needed for most people. Even on top tier cpus unless you are rendering on the system. Which if you are doing work why do you need to have a small case. So the amount of people that will use a 360 in a small case is an insanely low number.
i bought this case to install my sapphire toxic extreme edition 6900xtxh which has 360 aio. With an matx mainboard it works great and compact gaming machine. Only drawback is dust and sound.
I love these all mesh designs. I am not an RGB fan, especially if it lights up like a Christmas tree. Mesh allows for a bit of RGB compromise as it passes through subtly. The ASUS AP201 prime is really compelling for me, I like the mesh and the format. Very flexible design for builders.
Very happy with this case. After upgrading from an old similarly-sized Cooler Master Silencio something, this feels like a premium product. Got two bottom fans constantly blowing air through the filter at the GPU and hopefully introducing positive air pressure most of the time to reduce dust, an exhaust fan behind the tower cooler and a couple of top exhaust fans for when things get too steamy. Cable management wasn’t easy, but with a modular PSU you should be able to hide the clutter. The case is easy to build in and maintain thanks to the convenient pop-out panels. Even with the panels off it feels solid. I’d go so far as to call it pretty good value, though the discerning buyer will consider the included exhaust fan close to e-waste. Expecting this will last decades.

currently i have NZXT H200i and putting RTX 3080Ti in it stretches it to its limits, the biggest problem is that GPU Fans simply dont have room to breathe thus temperatures go to 90c... i think this case is perfect. not only it allows to put long cards like 330mm+ but also it is 4slot! so you can put any 4000 series card in it no problem (these are 3 slot cards) and still have room for bottom fans.. also it supports M.ATX botherboards, so you can save 150-200$ on motherboard upgrade instead of buying expensive MITX mobo for 500$+

Cool case(pun unintended), not all so compact if you think the footprint is of regular mid tower case. You save some height though which is not practically so important in most cases(pun unintended), but looks better though.
Well I'm actually considering this case exactly because of how short it is. I have a bookshelf above the desk where I plan to place my build and it limits the height of the case to 380mm. Most matx cases are 400+mm which is too tall for me while this one is definitely short enough. Also I don't want to use an itx simply because it gets more expensive.

I want to put a ryzen 9 5900x in the I currently have a h200i and my cpu gets HOT would the extra airflow really help cool it and keep my room from being hot as hell or save the money and stick with my case?
considering that this is an all mesh case. is it possible to set all the fans as intake fans and just allow the hot ear to come out of the mesh sides from positive pressure? or do you still need at least one exhaust for efficiency?
Whats wrong with cooling of that 6700XT? 🤔 I have Red Devil RX 6700 XT in old SilverStone Fortress FT03 (MATX vertical case), and GPU temps don’t exceed 71°C at full load. I bet its temps in this case wouldn’t exceed 65°C.
This is the case I've kept as my use for my gaming rig. I just keep my fan curve set to maintain slightly positive pressure and I've had no problems with excessive dust.
I accidentally bought a micro atx mobo but have a full atx case with cause a gpu sag I was gonna buy a new mobo but that’s like x2 the price of the case so it’s a great deal and cheap which is surprising from asus but hey I’m all for it
Seems like a good case to me good airflow, good size(love the CoolerMaster NR200 for example (Cant stand wasted space NZXT H510 for example that case also isnt good for airflow but it was my first case and i was a noob) and compatible with alot of different things youll also save money not having to buy itx parts 😂
Hi. Just want to ask. I have Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 (63mm thick w/ fans installed) and a TUF B450M Pro II with a thick top vrm heatsink (about 33mm). I wonder if the aio will hit the vrm heatsink? Thank you in advance.
hi which Deepcool 360 aio is that? i dont have many choices so looking at a 240 or 360 Deepcool for my 13400f build in the same case. would the bigger aio make a difference or just stick with the 240?
no comment on the drawbacks or benefits of the odd PSU installation orientation? having a PSU exhaust into a case doesn't seem like a good idea, even if the case is mesh.,
No it's not odd and is pretty normal. Almost all top mounted PSUs draw in air from the inside of the case, and the exhaust from the back of the PSU isn't that warm if you have an efficient unit and configuration. Remember the fan is an intake not an exhaust.
really liking the small form factor but do you think it would work would a 158mm tall air cooler? seems like it would be pretty crowded in the case and perhaps affect cooling performance?
this is pretty much a MATX, ATX PSU and 360mm AIO compatible NR200 and I'm all for it.
Yes I have an NR200 and it doesn't look much bigger at all Edit: By bigger I mean taking up Desk Space it seems like a very efficient case

hey could you reccomend something like this that supports full atx boards and 360mm radiators
i think we can fit the ATX motherboard in it if we do not use radiator in the top but only slim fans..
A beauty, but seems like those perforations mean dust will come inside from all angles.
I like the fact that its all mesh
Interesting design, but with full mesh im worried this will become dust vampire
There's a glass variant too with tempered glass side panel.
I want to put a ryzen 9 5900x in the I currently have a h200i and my cpu gets HOT would the extra airflow really help cool it and keep my room from being hot as hell or save the money and stick with my case?
hi sir if your gonna choose between the asus ap201 or inwin a3
considering that this is an all mesh case. is it possible to set all the fans as intake fans and just allow the hot ear to come out of the mesh sides from positive pressure? or do you still need at least one exhaust for efficiency?
probably best to have the top fans as exhaust and everything else as intake
Whats wrong with cooling of that 6700XT? 🤔 I have Red Devil RX 6700 XT in old SilverStone Fortress FT03 (MATX vertical case), and GPU temps don’t exceed 71°C at full load. I bet its temps in this case wouldn’t exceed 65°C.
What's your power level set too? Voltage offset? sustained boost clocks? Ambient temps?
4:09 you can flip the PSU power connector, just loosen those 2 screws
What is the actual measurements of the psu shroud? Not what psu size it can handle, the actual size of the shroud.
It's between this and Jonesboro d31 but the d31 can do 140mm fan. There's your answer
This would be great for a custom loop. 240mm & 360mm rads.
Looks like a good case. But I'm concerned about the dust. Wish it had more protection.
This is the case I've kept as my use for my gaming rig. I just keep my fan curve set to maintain slightly positive pressure and I've had no problems with excessive dust.
I accidentally bought a micro atx mobo but have a full atx case with cause a gpu sag I was gonna buy a new mobo but that’s like x2 the price of the case so it’s a great deal and cheap which is surprising from asus but hey I’m all for it
Thanks for using metric units. ✔️ 👍 🙂
Well done!
With the PSU mounted so strangely, how does the power cable attach?
this design reminds me of gamemax spark, which one is better? i think asus did better but also come with the price.
The gamemax has no mesh at all and not great stovepipe ventilation.
i love microatx, cant wait to build my next pc with this case whenever that may be lol
Seems like a good case to me good airflow, good size(love the CoolerMaster NR200 for example (Cant stand wasted space NZXT H510 for example that case also isnt good for airflow but it was my first case and i was a noob) and compatible with alot of different things youll also save money not having to buy itx parts 😂
what are some good 750w/850w PSU that would allow for the fan to face the front ?
Hey boss do you think msi mag ab550n can fit in this?
Hi. Just want to ask. I have Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 (63mm thick w/ fans installed) and a TUF B450M Pro II with a thick top vrm heatsink (about 33mm). I wonder if the aio will hit the vrm heatsink? Thank you in advance.
240mm aio wont hit the heat sink but a 280mm aio has a chance to hit it
hi which Deepcool 360 aio is that? i dont have many choices so looking at a 240 or 360 Deepcool for my 13400f build in the same case. would the bigger aio make a difference or just stick with the 240?
It is LS720, but you may consider LT720 too.
does it have enough space for 4070Ti and Live Gamer PCIe capture card?
How do you clean the tight spaces?
what is the 90 degree cable you have? mine is just the regular one so it wont fit
Happy to provide Like number 1000! Great review of case I'm looking to buy.
no comment on the drawbacks or benefits of the odd PSU installation orientation? having a PSU exhaust into a case doesn't seem like a good idea, even if the case is mesh.,
No it's not odd and is pretty normal. Almost all top mounted PSUs draw in air from the inside of the case, and the exhaust from the back of the PSU isn't that warm if you have an efficient unit and configuration. Remember the fan is an intake not an exhaust.
Also why is the power button blinking 4:42
Great review. This is a great alternative to Sama im01.
I really like it but the mesh back panel puts me off. I'd prefer it with solid side panels and mesh front.
Will the psu be ok? Having it in the front
really liking the small form factor but do you think it would work would a 158mm tall air cooler? seems like it would be pretty crowded in the case and perhaps affect cooling performance?
this isnt ssf.
@@Paultimate7 ifk what you mean by this. I was wondering the same thing; can this fit a 160mm height air cooler in it?
