Society creates this idea to where you need to couple up to be happy, and this can often make people end up in toxic relationships. But being single isn’t always a bad thing, because it’s a chance to build your life the way you want. And honestly, when you’re good with yourself, anyone who comes along is just a bonus, not a necessity.
@@ceeIoc Romance is not a necessity to connection. You can get that with a close circle of family and friends. Also, some people are Aromantic and just genuinely have zero romantic attraction towards anyone and never want to be in a relationship.

In my country you can’t assume two opposite sex people hanging out are dating lol. They might be friends or a sister and brother. One time my friend was out with her brother and some people thought they were a couple lmao.
its just because of the heavy barriers to marriage (huge expensive wedding, expensive gifts, families have to meet and approve, man has to be ready to buy a house which is very expensive), etc.
As you know children are expensive. They need time and money. It takes a lot of money to build a family while raising a child but we don't have enough time because we have to work as long as that money. It's ideal to spend a lot of time raising children but then you don't have enough money. There are a lot of videos about 'World population decline' on RUclips these days. All of comments are in a similar situation. Korea is no exception. A funny thing is the population of couples raising dogs and cats in Korea is exploding. Bc it's cheap.
I find the subject very interesting that Korea's society encourages a dating culture but won't accept that their idols might want to date. Why? Maybe you can ask people about this contradicting idea. Great video, as always.
Idols obsessed groups are usually unpopular in the dating market. Idols are virtual boyfriend/girlfriend for them so they get angry when idols start dating someone. These fans are often seen on the Internet. The ordinary fan don't have time to waste on the internet. They are busy to go camping, enjoy river rides, visit good restaurants with their partners.
They commit so fast and cheating is common, many choose to "close their eyes" on it. I mean usually people won't commit because they don't want the responsibility, or are afraid of being abandoned or disappointed? so if you commit so fast do you even care? Do they take the relationship lightly as much as they take cheating lightly? Do they commit because they know it's okay to cheat anyway? idk. They make their kdrama's so sweet yet in reality sadly this is not the case, but maybe that's what they wish for. I'm not trying to offend , but most of them don't express their true feelings , more so they suppress them because that's what they are taught since young age. You have to look a certain way because it opens door. You have to look up to being the best in everything, and it's very depressing. And don't get me wrong I loved traveling to Korea, and would do it again, but I do hope some things would change, for the sake of them.
there's a ton of sensationalist anti-korean content being produced. I recommend getting your information about korea from koreans and not from foreigners
Does 'many couples' refer to a man and a woman walking together, or just two people walking side by side? Korean youth tend to appear busy with someone, which is related to how they manage their emotional state. For example, they might smile while walking together, but it would seem strange if they smiled alone. 🤣🤣
3:33 thats how it use to be . Now people get into situationships( like the firs women said) situationships or bf/gf have kids and are still deciding if they are seriouse about each other... I remmeber when I was a kid living in Dominican Republic couples stared, by the guy telling the women he was interested that he was interested in dating her, if she acepted this. He will go with his parents and ask for her hand ( permision to date her) couple dated with the intention of geting yo know each other and Merried. Now everyone had the money to have a wedding , so there was alot of women who will move in with their bf who will now be referred as her husband, and the men and women will show each other the respect of a merried couple. Now days, in Dominican Republic some have adopted the USA dating culture, people will be together for years with children and still refering yo each other as bf/gf, and behaving as though they are just dating anf see what happens. ( with childrens already).
I apologize about my English, it's not the best haha. In my country, México, we have different concepts for each "type" of relationship. For example, bf/gf is using to two people in a relationship, they don't live together, just spend time with each other. When two people are living together and having responsabilities of a marriage (without getting married), we called them "Marido/Mujer", sometimes they have children, that is very common. And when they get married by the church or law, they are wife and husband. We have this popular phrase in México "papelito habla", its meaning basically is that if you have a document with both of their signatures, you're oficially married. Those concepts are very common in my state, we use them like that, but recently, in many cities using "bf/gf" to talk about their partner, in the same way that you mentioned. Maybe it's just a thing of old generations my previous explanation, but at least in my city is very common use those terms 😅
It is interesting that Westerners think that Korea is under pressure for dating. Because Westerners seem to be more obsessed with dating. Why does Korea feel pressured when you don't have to have a partner at many meetings or parties? In Korea, most people think that if they are busy studying, they don't have to date. Aren't Westerners more pressured about dating?
That's actually a very good question. From my point of view it's more like the "talking stage"/ "situationship" because you can't really know a person that well after such a short time (going into a relationship after 3 dates) and I think love needs time to grow but I'm not sure and also not Korean so I can't really know what the answer is. Would be nice to see some content with that kinda questions tho.
Since the birth rate is so low, my fear is very soon the "pressured" coupling will be forced by the government and toxic/abusive among partners and their. The coupling is not developed by love, but by societal and government pressure.
Well, this completely debunks that white female American's narrative about the 4B movement, and how Korean women don't want to date Korean men. I saw her on a previous video, and her views disgusted me.
It doesn't matter. If your partner can't bring you closer to God, then they aren't the person for you. If they can't love God the way He deserves, they'll never be able to love you the way you deserve.
