OMG we spent exactly one year of work from concept to final movie!!

Just an epic action mash up between Keanu Reeves: Johnny Silverhand meets Matrix meets John Wick meets Gaming !
Background Story:
When we started this project, the intention was to combine our skills and create something small but packed with action. We met to make a „short Cyberpunk related scene“ because we have been as hyped for the game and Keanu Reeve as you probably are right now! We thought we’d need one day of shooting, no real team, just a few snacks, good cameras and our passion.
Oh boy, were we wrong!
This project evolved from a one day shoot to a three days shoot to a five days shoot to a 17 days shoot. (Just a fun fact, Jurassic Park was shot within 24 days!)
What started as a little fun project between two old friends grew bigger and bigger and ended up being this massive one year long production that had to deal with loads of trouble, especially the global pandemic.
When Covid 19 hit Germany in March, we had to stop everything, pause the filming and hope for better days.
Fortunately this forced break also gave us time to re-evaluate the dimensions of this project and also it’s possibilities. It gave us time to look for sponsors who were willing to carry the growing production costs but even more important:
we were able to gather more and more artists and make them part of this passion project. The combination of people wanting to support us money- and manpower-wise gave the film the kickstart it needed to become what it is now.
Through our sponsors, we were able to finance hotels, food, costume parts and SFX materials without going broke ourselves. Without our sponsors, none of this would’ve been possible and the production value would be a different one.
But even though there was money involved to cover costs - all of us were still in it for the art. More than 180 passionate artists from all over the world joined this project over the last months.
We became a real team, even though some of us have only met through social media. This is the most incredible part for us - to work with a team that’s simply fueled by passion and by the love towards the project.
Every single one of you is the most important person of our team.
Every stuntman, every VFX artist, every cosplayer, every actor, every set runner, every makeup artists, every gaffer, every coffeemaker, every set photographer - you are the bricks that this wall of a shortfilm is build of.
And we want you to know that we still can’t believe the tremendous amount of fun and unforgettable experiences it’s been to work with so many professionals who put in so much effort just to get this done and to get this done good.

Fk Netflix, fk Hollywood, then you gotta play by their rules. I say they make a gofund me for 5 million and they buy better equipment, and make the movies themselves without having to get the ok for every little thing they do from some executives and producers. Telling them to tone down the violence in order to get an R rating instead of a tvma rating. Then they’d probably start arguing about details on how a scene should be. I think a solo project would be better. Then All they’d have to do is change small things about the movie so they don’t get sued for taking intellectual properties from cd project red.

Once you hand over your rights as a filmmaker to the big BOSS at any streaming platform such as Huku,Amazon video prime, etc etc...you will notice some aspects of your creativity go into the rubbish bin, starting with the writing team. Scenes will be removed, storyline will change to suit a "specific audience" to get ratings up, and if you don't get the director role, then be prepared to get a totally different vibe to your film. I've seen this happen so many times.
The scene with Johnny and the arasaka corpo was better than 90% of movie action scenes I've witnessed just incredible

well, best action-packed one. I can't tell if I love this more than the Nathan Fillian Uncharted fan-film, however. Same goes for Star Wars Theory's Vader fan-film.
My mind is truly blown at how preem this is. One of the best fan films I've seen on youtube. Choreography was top tier. Casting was amazing as well. I'd literally pay money to see work like this on a big screen.
I guess in this reality, Johnny uploaded his consciousness to a physical synth body filled with enhancements. Good on ya mate. Kick ass

For an independent fan film, this had a decent budget and fairly great production value pushing it. Simple action movie with a basic plot line, but it works very well in any case. Gotta love how it’s so evident that people wanted to recapture the early Keanu Marrix days for s modern era. Cyberpunk and John Wick are basically the closest thing we’ve gotten to flashing us back to that Matrix Trilogy - aside from the actual 4th movie ‘Matrix Resurrections’, this pretty much is the matrix with John Wick and no bullet-time. Loved it
two things, first i have the attention span of a goldfish so the fact that i sat and watched this the whole through is incredible. Second love the "There is no spoon line" Epic film guys!

In another film by T7pro, the actor that played Johnny Silverhand played Darth Maul, and he fought a Jedi that wore a mask. The actor who played the Jedi in the mask played the berserker who fought Johnny in the club. The berserker saying "Remember me?" was definitely in reference to this.

It's refreshing to see fighting done without disorienting amounts of cuts for every damned punch. This was super well done and I can't express how sick I am of Hollywood style fight scenes where you can't tell what the hell is even going on.
Fuck yes. Fight scenes without cuts look so goddamn good, because it's pure acting ability, entirely dependent on excellent marital arts and outstanding choreography. This is why Oldboy's classic hallway fight looks like a masterpiece, even to this very day. Apparently it took them like thirteen takes to finally get the perfect ten-minute fight scene lol
you both are kinda ignorant about the details about what you're talking about. but the clear thing is that the angles complement the choreography.
@@vvvios that's not that many takes and remember editing. what this is good at is editing and angles. which takes a skilled choreographer who can communicate well with photography/ camera, or a director who knows both fields which is unlikely.

That way, we can have Keanu reprise his role as the rockstar asshole Johnny Silverhand and have multiple Keanu references in it. like there were in this. such references could be Bill & Ted music for the band scenes for Johnny, him saying "I'm johnny Silverhand, asshole" would be a reference to the Keanu Constantine, and there are the obvious Matrix and John Wick references.

You did an outstanding job on so many levels! I congratulate you for passionate work which I thoroughly enjoyed so much! Wow guys, it is one of the very best fan films I ever watched!

100% a combo of Neo, Silverhand, and Wick. Brilliant melding of the three. Brilliant action scenes too. the guy you got to be the mash-up Johnny was quite similar to Keanu and even sounded a bit like him. Definitely got the speech patterns down. I REALLY hope we get to have more in the future. This was TOO awesome to be a one & done thing.

The big mass scenes were filmed before pandemic hit germany.
One can pretty much guess which scenes were filmed during pandemic - as you have people wearing masks fitting the costumes (like the Valentinos lady ~17:20) and/or keeping distance as much as possible.

This film wasn't without its flaws but it fully exceeded my expectation. The fight chirography was pretty good, the fully automatic fire fights and one-liners were on par with an 80/90's action movie (which I like) and the product placement was very well integrated; the Rockstar energy drink scene got a chuckle out of me. I was quite entertained by the whole thing, absolutely worth sharing with friends especially those who are into the Cyberpunk and Sci-Fi action genre.

plot-wise after completing the game? weird... but action-wise for a small studio? so much action, I like it!
If this film is 2 years old (judging by the upload date), and the production started probably well over a year before that, the game probably wasn't even out when they wrote the script for it. They probably just had the trailer/teaser for the game and some screenshots or concept art to base the film off. Hence the "wake up samurai" quote, which only appears in the trailer. Regardless, that was a sick short film, action was amazing. For once I was pleasantly surprised by the YT algorithm.

The fight scenes, effect like shooting, UI features, the detaisl after scenes like blood on the floor, shooted walls etc are so so awesome made that I believed every little detail in this film, not like in professional movies where you see so many details dont fit what just happend in scene before 👀👀👀👀🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wow. That was incredible. You guys really captured not only these characters, but the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Everything about this film is top notch. The beautiful cinematography, direction, the incredible costume design (I was especially stoked on the Trauma Team appearance), the main cast (who completely embodied their characters and Johnny's actor was extremely convincing) and of course all the extras, even the more "minor" characters had so much life to them (the acting all around was great), the sound design and score was perfect and really brought the Cyberpunk vibes. The sets were awesome and authentic, both the visual and practical effects were as good as it gets and of course, I can't forget the fight scenes, stunt work and choreography...as usual, all of which were completely insane...better than what I see in a bunch of major blockbusters. I could really feel the John Wick and The Matrix influences that you had. Those influences really fit really well into this world. This whole film is better than most big budget productions that are coming out these days in just about every way tbh. Anyway, I could go on and on about how awesome this film is, so I'll leave it at that. I just want to thank each and every one of you involved for bringing this to us and for free... I can't imagine the amount of work every single person on the team put into this. If there's anyway I can support your efforts, I would be more than happy to. Thanks again!!
