Thanks for the comment. Awesome to read you like the retro flow i'm having here on the channel. So much fun and a lot of work getting weird stuff from the past and make content. Even dedicated a playlist to retro hardware and software.
i have a neo geo big red arcade cabinet. it's gutted for emulation and i cut some additional holes for more buttons. found it in an alley next to a dumpster. finder's keepers!
13:25 were you not using an upscaler like a Retrotink? guessing by the wide screen, you were just running it straight to your TV, looked less than ideal, even with RGB or Component
Unfortunately my Time Harvest MVS has good component video, but wavy composite video which makes it not very good for recording gaming footage due to lack of affordable component to HDMI converters that accept 480i video signals. Like if the composite worked correctly, I could use it on more of my TVs and record the video more easily. The only other option I can think of is try to see if I can find a component to composite converter, then run that into my composite to HDMI converter.
I recommend emulation. the best games are also pretty expensive on mvs, especially when you take the fullset route 😉 BUT: collecting neo geo games was a lot of fun…
I think I have found that italian seller and am interested in one of their MVS. What were the exact issues you came across with the unibios and connectivity?
Thanks for the reply, very helpful. Hmm I think I will look around more first. Might just end up getting a dedicated supergun. I will be connecting to a crt so analog out is all i need.@@WickedGamerCollector
I have a reconditioned 6 slot Australian neo geo cabinet its bloody huge games are cheaper for that but games that are to expensive i play on my mame cabinet as the 161 carts are rubbish games crash missing sounds i like the 6 slot as i can change games as the mame cabinet can't do that
I remember paying over $500 US dollars for this in 1995 just to play Samurai Shodown, an additional $300. I must’ve been insane. Still have it today.
It was well worth it, I had same combo back in 1992 + Viewpoint. I loved playing Hanzo.
Well the Neo Geo version of Samurai Shodown and Viewpoint are definitely better than the Genesis version, idk about $600 better tho
Another Wicked day I still have my Neo Geo AES from 1991 and my Neo Geo CD from 1996 what a life of gaming
damn that's awesome
As an 80's kid that's getting into retro gaming, I really love your channel. Thank you.

Nice 👍
Not so long ago the options for an home NeoGeo were AES, or an MVS +Supergun.
Fond memories of playing such classics as World Heroes, Samuraui Showdown, Super Sidekicks, etc
Pretty cool stuff WGC !

Most of the NEO GEO games are good quality. I want to get some MVS carts because they are cheaper than AES games.
Dude I'm glad you showed the newer arcade sticks for aes. I have the bean with mine.
Want to make a dedicated video for that in the future or that is the idea 😅
@@WickedGamerCollector heck yeah man please do
Very good review especially the signal picture comparisons so many other RUclips channels do a poor job at showing the differences
Thanks for the message.
Yeah little bit extra effort with a pile of converters.
Result now you can just see the difference 😄
I did a review on one of these when they first came out! I still have mine and its still going no problem! Look into a NeoSD
NeoSD ... that flash card.
It's awesome nowhere to be found 😅
the AES is much out of my range but the MVS is a solution for me! Great Video

Is the shaking screen thing an NTSC on PAL TV thing?

Shock boxes, mini marquee,
Once I get stable in terms of money, I might get one as is very convenient and not way too expensive option.
my all time wanted but never owned console - i have a every other consol minus , mega cd - 32x - and neo geo ... one day
#1 from Portugal ❤
Who cares. 🙄
@@kikayei who cares how much you paid for you system, and if its was too much

Touché
The MVS is a much cheaper option over the AES console..and games are cheaper in most cases

HDMI neo geo was one hot mess.
The older one was working fine only had uni bios (old version) and scart out.

Can you review the Retroid Pocket 4 PRO?
I have been thinking about it.
At this point have 9 handhelds to test and review 😅
Can't keep up anymore 😆
How is the 161 n 1 version 3?
So far I can see quickly .. same story 😅
How do you set aspect ratio to 4:3?
You don't 😅
Or do it with your TV.
Neo Geo always was an expensive hoppy - at least there are some affordable options now
