Hey guys. upon further looking up the classifieds there are actually Lower average prices for a 2015-17 models - a slow as RM 120k as of 23 June 2023 for GT86 / BRZ. So take this as a higher average price calculation.
Thanks for some of the feedback from the community! And more videos coming up!
How abouthe nee Camry
Thank you so much for this. The Toyota 86 has been my dream car ever since I first saw it at launch in 2012, and I was only 13 years old that time. 11 years later and I still can't afford one.....yet.
I'm working with nett salary of only RM3,500, therefore it's definitely not enough to buy and maintain a Toyota 86. Even the cheapest ones that can be found for around RM90,000 on the market now.
Need to keep working hard and improve myself before rewarding myself with this dream car of mine. Hope everyone else can stay focused and improve themselves in order to get their dream cars also, plus more!
As a fresh grad engineer Malaysian looking at this and really wanting to own an 86 since Initial D, seems impossible, but will try. Give me some luck guys
Same. Let’s hard work
Keep your heads down, focus and work hard 💪 don’t be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone for other opportunities. Fortune favours the brave. All the best to all of us
Same here bro, one day we'll get our 86!
Good luck man
This series is amazing! Thank you for giving the awareness for us when considering buying a dream car. I think too many people just blindly jump into buying their dream car(s) without actually considering the running & maintenance cost behind owning it and then later on finding out that they can't actually afford to own it
Thanks man! Appreciate the comment and support, Yep, I just want to give some structure to think and process a dream car. I don't think my way is the best, but as long as it helps. :)
This is the video that I am looking for !
Love your calculating content this is what I need, thanks brother
i love this video. It helps everyone to assure whether we are financially ready to get a GT86.
Great idea to inspire.informative and straightforward. Keep up the great content!
Glad you like it bro. Stay tuned!
Very informative. Thank you sir
Love the video, thanks for taking the time to make this. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad it's relevant!
Cool series Thomas, keep it coming
Thanks!
Hi Thomas, nice video and very informative. Great show😊
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it!
Hey Thomas, big fan. Love educational content like this on car ownership. Wondering if you'd do for GR86 :D
Love the content and editing now. Keep the subs number growing bruh !
Thanks!
nice… was planning to get a GT86 recently.
Haha nice.. sudah upgrade.. got template ady 😂 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yep... more improvements in the future!
helps alot, as a student this shows how much money it is
Yep. now you can set your goals!
@@ThomasYap do you have a video for 350z/fairlady
Nice Video, sadly myself still can't afford it 😂
owning it was probably always the easy part, maintaining it is another, but finding the RIGHT workshop for all the maintenance is the most difficult, and it always the deal breaker, becos we just do not have so much experience with workshop or any idea of them
keep it up
Cheers!
i have been waiting the 2012 model price to dropppp but now still can loan, so asking price is still sticky .. but then having sampled both auto and manual, I still not convinced and its been my number one list since its launch in 2012..
Well. If your heart doesn’t sing or feel anything. Maybe it’s not the car for you. :)
Hi. Maybe you could do another episode on handa civic? Thanks.
Sure. Shortlisted!
Hi Thomas, can you make a new video of Lexus Nx 300 recon?
Haha can shortlist!
Hi Thomas, could you do one for C43?
market prices are around 300-320k for a 3 year old car.
Ok! I’ll keep this on the shortlist!
what about 2019 gt86 gt spec facelifted (recon)
Good tips!…but probably you’d like to drive it as well? Fuel/toll/etc?😊
Those figures depend on everyone’s different use case scenario
Thanks! Hmm this can be tough. As Justin said it can defer by usage. So I’ll stick to the buying part only
Bro, for 2 door sports car/coupe will need a hefty downpayment. How about 2 door suv like the Suzuki Jimny? Really like the Jimny and it is not that expensive. But does it have to pay 30 to 40% downpayment also?
no it doesnt..
Hurm i thought bank can give loans up until 15 years? From 1st registration.
This sound more like a marketing vid to help a pal sell off his ride lol. No wrong if its a good vehicle waiting for the next owner, just made it clear upfront 😂
Well ill clear up for you bro. I have no friends or pals selling 86. 😂
"life is too short to drive a boring car" - let me sink that in........
Don't sink too long!
hi mr thomas could you do fk8r pls? thank you
Yep on the list!
Honda civic or used bmw 320i next!!
Will short list!
Hi can you do swift sport 1.4 turbo?
Sure! Shortlisted!
Yes. Manual!!!!
The way to go!
Wondering why is Toyota 86 is about 20k more exp than the Subaru BRZ for the same year?
People in Malaysia just prefer the 86. We also have more 86s than BRZs
Yep what @justinltz said.
ard 20k rm but i dont think i can afford this tbh, sigh
FK8R please!
Slightly higher, but civic are meant to be mod & tune, so if you plan to mod the car thn totally different story la.
Fun fact:
Minimum downpayment for a FK8R is 10% only, cause it's a 5 doors hatchback.
So if you put more downpayment, then it will be somewhat similar budget to own one.
Yep will have this for the future.
Bro let’s do one for the 2017 r35 GTR and 718 cayman GT4
Wow! Hahaha ok I’ll shortlist them
I wonder how much income required to own Alpine a110s?😊
Hahahaa. Malaysia got no alpine duty paid so abit hard to ascertain. But I’d guess it’s around 550k -600k for a 2021 model
Eh DC Residensi?
How about the Toyota GR86, Thomas? Can you buy one?
I cancelled my order. Decided not to go for it
@@ThomasYap whyyyyy
Please do on M2C Thomas. I'm working out to afford one!
Ahhh! I’m just about to sell my M2C! Ok shortlisted!
This video, though in english, called me miskin in bilingual. 😂
Don’t believe Thomas. This car is a money pit 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha. Really? From a few GT86 friends they say no big deal. Tell me more. I would love to have more experienced owners to share. It really helps the community.
@@ThomasYap haha, your friend is right as long as you didn’t get poisoned. I did a manual swap, change the rims, get a adjustable, header and tune. These simple thing cost almost 30K 😂
@@sh1mpul haha, I bilip you kena poisoned kau kau ? 😂😂😂😂
I make 100k per month, only drive e350 coupe 2019 xd
damn.. i make 5 billion per month as well!!!!!!
How? Teach me) I live in RF and can’t do it in this country:(
@jejunegamingtv1359 am not joking btw
Nice! The e350 is very accomplished!
