- Opel celebrated 125 years of automotive production at its headquarters.
The motto of the festivities was “Forever forward since 1899”. The guests of honour at the ceremony in the Adam Opel Haus included German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Prime Minister of the Federal State of Hesse Boris Rhein as well as Stellantis Chairman John Elkann, CEO Carlos Tavares and Xavier Chéreau, Stellantis Chief Human Resources & Transformation Officer and Opel Supervisory Board Chairman. Opel offered several thousand visitors a varied supporting programme around the Adam Opel Haus at the Open Door Day. The German brand presented an anniversary exhibition with automotive milestones from the last 125 years. To mark its 60th anniversary, the Opel Design Center also opened its doors and presented groundbreaking concept cars from past and present. Interested visitors were also given the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of production in the plant. Rally fans had the exclusive chance to ride along in the Opel Corsa Rally Electric while young and old could test the Rocks Electric

I would love if Opel properly brought back some of their old models like the Kadett C Coupe, Manta B or Ascona B 400 or the Corsa A. These cars are making a fortune on the classic car market, why? It's what people want. People don't want SUV's. Happy Birthday Opel 🎉💪
Sadly this will never happen with Stellantis to decide what and which model Opel will be developing/ producing

Opel debería fabricar una nueva berlina del modelo Insignia que salió muy buena y se vendió muchas unidades.El consejo de administración de Opel y del grupo Stellantis están obsesionado con los modelos SUV,los modelos SUV no le gustan a la gran mayoría de los ciudadanos,así que sacar más berlinas y menos SUV. Si queréis que me compre un Opel tiene que ser una berlina deportiva OPC de 300cv mínimo,si no lo hacéis no me compro mas un Opel.
SUV's are going to be heavily taxed here in Ireland soon, they are hated over here.
1. They're too big, car parking especially has gotten a lot worse.
2. They're heavier and tend to cause more damage in an accident.
3. Heavier means poor MPG/KPL and tyre wear.
4. Higher center of gravity leading to increased possibility of loss of control or overturning going around a corner.
5. SUV's are bad for the environment.
And who is styling these monstrosities?
Bring back the Vectra or Omega.
