На одном из учений парень погибает и девушка вместе с детьми отправляется на его похороны, на которых дочь, как старший ребёнок, выступила с речью, где сквозь слëзы говорила что-то о великом высшем маршале (понятно о ком, и это не о папе). В конце фильма командир его части, генерал, призывает остальных бойцов преданно служить Ким Чен Иру и выполнять каждый его приказ. Девушка-военврач берёт под опеку осиротевших детей погибшего любимого парня, а затем отдаёт их в Мангëндэское революционное училище, в одном из эпизодов приезжает к ним туда в гости под играющую за кадром песню, в которой поётся что-то вроде "Я хочу стать бойцом Вождя".
