- Fluid art inspirational video! I really love how this came out, it’s a commission for some good friends of ours. They both love the ocean, Montauk was an area that came up that they both really like. I actually ended up titling this painting Turtle Cove!

Many try to conquer many techniques...but especially in this one...you created clouds, pearls,and lacing in one single work of art. As a Master you continue to "master" your craft...but with a God given eye for color, movement and finish detail work that takes a piece to a place rarely accomplished. Many try to duplicate what is impossible because a Sara Taylor piece is now immediately recognizable anywhere throughout the art world. (I am just so smug that I told you this was going to happen before you believed it yourself 😉)

Sarah you are my no. 1 on the long lists of paint-pouring artists. I'm watching your techniques, but what I want to watch, I don't know what makes such beautiful "pearls",, bubbles,,. I use silicone oil, sometimes I add it to the paint and sometimes I dab it with silicone. In both cases the jobs are not pretty. I paint for fun but I would also like to sell something. Girl!! I'm obsessed with watching you create these living , moving organic experiences! I can feel the rocks , the water, the wind and wanting to walk on the beach barefoot, with my sandals in one hand and maybe a Mojito in the other and laughing trying to keep my cute straw hat from blowing off my head! I'm subscribed to your channel been watching you for a while...
I have been trying to do the same paintings as you!! But they're not turning out the same way?? I use floetrol that I found at home Depot that I've seen on other channels....
And I used it in my paint.... I cannot afford to high quality paint that you are used to using.... One is because I cannot find it two is because it's quite expensive....
The paint that I use are liquid tech and masters blend... I use a 20x16 canvas that I got at Walmart same as a liquid tech paint that I mixed with floetrol.
And I use a 48x38 canvas that I buy from hobby lobby. and I use masters blend that I also get from hobby lobby......
When I put everything together on canvas I have no cales coming out... Like I see in your paintings!!
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I'm mixing 80 g of flotron... 40 g of paint 30 g of water...
And I've done 80 grams of flour 40 g of paint and no water!!
I'm using 48x38 canvases that I want to hang on my walls at home in the hallway, dining room, and living room....
What am I doing wrong not using the same paint as you or my mixture is not correct??? I wish I could send you a picture of one of my paintings that I have done.....
Yours are always amazing and it makes me jealous cuz mine's going to come out like yours do....

I wish greatly I could troubleshoot and help figure out exactly what the problem is. Part of the effect here is the satin enamel that I’m using in the base layer. I have a Patreon account where I help teach in trouble shoot people, maybe that would be something that you could sign up for so I could be more help? I also teach one on one zoom classes.
Hey Sara I watch your acrylic pouring vids because you are smart and talented. I do have a question concerning your pearls recipe, which I have not stirred up yet, but am in the process. It is about the Walmart Apple Barrel paint….according to my notes taken from your vid, no craft paint and use 2119e container. I have two containers of the wht, first one is older and never opened, it is Matte Acrylic Paint (no craft mentioned) 21170E. New container is Acrylic Craft Paint, Matte, 21119E. Which one is the correct container to use? Thank You!
The 2119e would be the preferable one.✌️

It’s an effect achieved by using a very thin basecoat with satin enamel in it. I have a really great paint Mixing video that might help answer some questions.

What is the step in this painting where you use some kind of syringe with dark paint? Are you adding paint to the canvas or removing it? Your work is amazing and very intuitive and organic! I could not love your complete style more!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I use the pipette to remove excess paint but I don’t want on the canvas, sort of like an eraser :-)

I am in constant awe. 😊 you are a master! I've wondered if you use your paint as mixed for your pour to do your embellishments? When i do that it takes a while because of the opacity. Thank you for this music. A beautiful blend of harmony and emotion. Just like your paintings it takes you away to another place. ❤
I’m so happy I could take you to a different reality for a moment. I usually just use my mix paint, it depends on the application. A lot of times if I’m touching up the white I will use a straight golden fluid acrylic.❤️🙏
