  • You've used Leca, perlite, and plain old water to root your props....but have you tried Fluval Stratum?? If not, you really should. Get it at your local pet or aquarium store or on Amazon amzn.to/39jEaFs Please note i do get a small commission if you use my link.

She is telling the truth. This stuff save my Thai Constellation, Albo and corm. Whatever you do, don't let it dry all the way out.

After watching your video, I went to check my rotundifolia for roots and it had great looking roots much to my relief. All I used was water from my Zero Water pitcher but I sure will get a bag of that and give it a try! Thanks!

Fluval stratum is for plants inside of aquariums. I use it for my tanks and I haven't had any problems. Fluval works for me and my aquarium. That's what's it was intended for.

Indeed!!!! My hoyas that are harder to root have really thrived! And don't forget, you can add a top dressing of fluval stratum to your potted plants too. Thanks for suscribing!

I'm doing my research on stratum as a growing medium and heard that it needs to be rinsed first? Is this true?

Thank you for this video! I'm going to get some tomorrow for my Monstera Peru cuttings, Scindapsus Treubii cuttings, Manjula cuttings and my entire Red Maranta plant that's at deaths door.
There is a FB group dedicated to growing in stratum and I saw it recommended to be careful using a humidity dome as it lead to rapid root rot. Ppl also stretch out their product by adding leca at the bottom as you did but also mix perlite in with the stratum to not use it up so quickly.

Yes! you can do 50/50 perlite, and you can even add a thin layer right to the top of the plant soil, and when you water the nutrients in the FS get into the roots!

I have several in the FS. the only one I'm nervous about is my linearis because it always rots
