- To celebrate the release of #NewPokemonSnap, I want to explore the diverse world of photography video games using games that interpret the act of photography in a vast number of ways. In examining these games, we can see the different ways photography can be used to interpret the world around us.

A good 10+ years ago, there was a game called "Snapshot Adventures - The Secret of Bird Island" and I really want to find a game like that again.
I'm gonna look for that. I've looked for good photography focused games since i played Snap as a kid. I have never had much luck finding them though..

Absolutely unbelievable you didn’t mention Life is Strange.
Oh yeah! That's a great example, though I mostly strayed away from it since the most of the photography in that game comes up with optional prompts that result in the same photo for every player. At least compared to these games, there's a lot less of that expressiveness that I was exploring with these examples.
