i don't mind the invader attacking the host or a summoned phantom, but attacking the other red is not cool. honorable duels are not guaranteed if someone else shows up. there shouldn't be rules to invasions except one: don't attack the other red.

For those wanting to get even more damage out of it, wearing the Rakshasa set will also boost the damage of all sorceries and icantations by 2% per piece, which includes Light Of Miquella!
Only if there is pvp specific scaling, otherwise it won't work on holy damage in PVP because of the holy damage pvp bug that has been around since base game launch.
@@zackhess9925 Tested with Discus of Light in the arena against several people just now and it doesn't seem to be affected by that bug.
Dealt 307 with two pieces of Rakshasa. 319 with 4 pieces. The rest were similar. Hovering around 270-280 with 2, and then 290+ with 4.

@@Priscillius In what way? Because in PvE it works for sure; 2005 damage without any armour, and 2170 with the full set. This was while at 80faith using erdtree seal +10 against an unaware deer/goat outside the church of Elleh. And during an invasion where I was able to test it, I did 915 with no pieces of the armour on, and then 990 with all 4 pieces equipped. That was using the same stats and seal.
@@SatsujinSakana well thats good to know. I haven't had a chance to unpack the DLC and look at the params to find out which DLC buffs have pvp specific scaling.
A way that they can buff it is to actually let it work with the things that are supposed to buff it. I wish you could free aim it at the ground so you can predict where your enemy goes.
Yeah id love to see it with dual boosting seals + miquella crown + Sword of Light holy damage buff.

If all they did was fix it so that it was buffed by the other items that buff Miquella spells that’s fine. Id appreciate a proper free aim so I can aim it at my feet but I can do without.
@@Dualities Dude, it costs 72 fucking faith to use, and you only get it after beating the final boss in the DLC and one of the hardest bosses Fromsoft ever designed.

Just been calling it the nuke because thats what it is. When i found out it could tank the Sword of Damnation L2 in pvp i started using it as my “respect me” spell in invasions.

This build dual-wielding the Sword of Light and the Coded Sword can do crazy holy damage, and you can add the Bloodsucking cracked tear in the physick for even more of a glass cannon build

All holy damage is bugged in PVP. I've been trying to bring this to Lost's attention every time he does a video featuring holy damage. Only damage buffs that have PVP specific scaling work for holy damage in PVP. I made a mod that fixes this problem (PVP Holy Damage Fix on Nexus), its super easy to fix if we can just get Fromsoft's attention. Lost please get all the other big Elden ring pvpers to make videos on this bug. Only Rabbitsinthemoon has responded to my requests to do a video on it. If anyone wants to know more about what buffs work on holy damage in pvp and which ones don't, reply to my comment or DM me. Also I'm guessing that if more people download my mod pvp holy damage fix, the bug might be noticed by Fromsoft.

@@aldousboal4920 any damage buff that has a different percentage buff for PVP works for holy damage in PVP, while damage buffs that have the same percentage buff for both PVP and PVE don't work on holy damage in PVP. You can look up the percentage of the buff on
Fexralife, though they don't have the numbers for the DLC buffs just yet.
Here is an example. Golden vow has a 15% buff to damage, but it is reduced to 7.5% in PVP. Golden Vow does work on Holy damage in PVP.
The Shard of Alexander buffs damage for ashes of war by 15%, this is the same for both PVP and PVE so if the Ash of war is dealing pure Holy damage then It will not apply to holy damage in PVP.

@@nuggetpolice9116 True, but they fixed that combo because all the ER youtubers made videos on it. That's why I requested Chrightt to make a video on the PVP holy damage bug. If enough big ER youtubers do videos on a bug, Fromsoft will usually take care of it.

Yeah, for me (at 72 faith), it typically does like a quarter of a health bar in PvP, sometimes half if I'm lucky. 9/10 times it just misses, though. Super easy to dodge.

You have to build around it and ambush people.
If you are going orbital cannon, you have to go all in.

I cant wait till they fix this, i may actually on hit bosses lol i one hit most players at 215, i use incant biff talismans, holy scorpion, and dmg at full hp sword tali, then i buff w golden vow, and the physick flask with power within tear plus holy dmg one, and the sword of light of course it does alot, like 11,418 if i remember correctly, 80 faith 54 int with the golden order seal, its devastating

@blakewarren5709 I help alot of hosts, and I usually only wait a minute or less to be summoned, and invading is twice as fast, it's pretty populated from my experience
Oh shit. I didn’t think to use the Light Sword buff for the Miquella Light incantation. I need to get it back now. This was nice to see. Also, Mimic Tear loves spamming Miquella’s Light if it’s got distance. It’s kinda funny. You never get to see the enemy again until they get within slapping distance of Mimic.

Don't forget that Golden Order gear does nothing for Golden Order incantations, and talismans (Shard of Alexander, Flock Canvas) do not apply to a lot of Holy weapons/spells pre-DLC (Golden Order Greatsword, Sacred Relic Sword, Coded Sword, Cipher Pata, Wrath of Gold)

Fun fact, that spell is very susceptible to shields. It's how I got through the boss version if I couldn't run away in time.
Light of Miquella is what happens when Miyazaki has thoughts like "...what if we put an Armored Core-tier attack in Elden Ring?". Just like his other thoughts for this DLC "...what if we turn Radahn into an AC, size and all, and make him the final boss?".

Im so glad the Black knight twinblade is getting some recognition, as soon as i discovered it i loved it, i use the sacred blade too and it absolutely melts both in pve and pvp, deffinetely a top tier weapon
i can feel the haltered against brain rotted reds that just attacks anyone they can lock on to cus i can bloody relate to Lost
considering the Light of Miquella doesn't show the crest of Miquella and doesn't resemble any of the other Miquella incantations, there's a chance that it's a unique incantation as it pops up the charm symbol he casts onto people during his boss fight. It could be a "Charm" incantation of sorts.

Apparently the dragon communion seal buffs it way more than it's supposed to. My guess is that it takes the arcane scaling into account when it's not supposed to. Here's hoping they fix all this next patch, cuz this thing (while still strong) needs to be corrected so it can function normally.
This Miquella beammmmmmmu is surprisingly good. And very strong against other player. High Faith required probably keep many peoples from understand how it work before getting hit by it.

I love that FromSoftware actually gave us really cool weapons and spells for both the base game and DLC final bosses. Sacred Relic Sword and Miquella's Light is everything I could have hoped for (after they fix this Incantation's bugs of course 😅)

It requires 72 faith, is one of three remembrance items, requires you to beat one of the hardest bosses in souls history, lore wise drops from what is the equivalent of two gods, and takes two spell slots.
It's power is justified despite being not as strong as it should be. Let's just be glad it's not getting nerfed into the ground

10:15 there’s no honour in Limgrave, it’s a gank fest or there’s idiot reds and other times scumbag bonfire duelists who pretend to be fair but pull out the swift slash.
People that don't really pvp seem to be underatting this spell in pvp. It is so good. The cast time is quite fast and the aoe and the range is big. Also you have hyper armor and not that much FP cost. Throw this in pvp or gank squad and peoppe will just get hit and die to it. You can also combo with rykard rancour or elden star and they wont be able to dodge. If they are decent away you can also throw Wave of Gold into Miquella Light and it is practically not possible to dodge.

According to the wiki when paired with the Dragon Communion Seal it does much more damage but its unknown if its a bug or not.
i think blues might be doing invasions to fight other reds, because it's literally taking ages to be called in as a hunter. sometimes it'd take me 3 entire DAYS to get called, just for the host to die the moment i join
i've already beaten the dlc and wanted to spend some time as a hunter, but it's just inviable to do literally nothing in the game for days on just to even have a chance of actually fighting someone, and that on lvl 200, which is supposed to be the most active level for invasions

Honestly, I kinda like Miquella's Light, even while it's bugged. The stat requirement is absolutely immense, but it seems reasonably quite good when used right.
Shame that most of the DLC incantations kinda suck, and that this one is also bugged as well. But it's nice that it still has some decent uses, despite the bug.
