@@FastRust Sure you will make a good job of it mate 👍 Escort good might get the bottom end done over winter, just not sure how far to go with it yet tho 😂
Considered carbs or ITBs but fact is the gains are minimal compared to forced induction. The point of this build is to achieve a quick daily driver on a relatively small budget (approx £1750). For that reason twin charged is out of the question.
Just discovered your channel and I'm about to SC my 92 1.6 NA with a sebring kit. Is your car a 1.6? And how's it holding up with the SC and how many miles on the engine when you supercharged it? I'll be watching the rest of your videos.
Nice one Charlie. If you watch the series a lot of this stuff will be answered for you but to summarise. Mine is a 1.8VVT, very low mileage at 30k (not that this really matters the engines are very reliable). Not finished the project yet so can't comment on how it's holding up yet.
Nice 👍 look forward to this build. Great content for the channel pal 👍
Thanks mate. Something a little bit different to what I'm used to. Try not to cock it up 🤣 How's the Escort?

Nice. Not much else to do is there ☹ What's the plan? Re bore, crank etc?
@@FastRust not sure yet mate, might just do rings, bearing's and hp oil pump myself. Or go mad and go 2.1 😂
Tbh if you can get away with hone and re ring I'd stick to that. Over bore and pistons is a lot of cash for not much gain.
Thank you for not going the turbo way!! Supercharged!!!
Yeah cheers. Was a difficult decision to make but happy with the choice. No turning back now!
@@FastRustI have an r53 mini which is where this comes from I think, it’s better in that sense, but fuel economy does suffer more than a turbo
Funny how I came here looking for info on a diy supercharger build but I’m fitting mine to a Capri only to find out you also have a Capri lol
whatever happened to the rest of series on fitting the SC ???
Working on it. New video next weekend. Progress has slowed because the G19 M45 kit is not ready yet (they're having to redesign for cars with ABS).
What model is the second throttle body?
1.8
Can you not go both supercharged and turbocharged. Carburetor?
No one has ever done something like that on a miata

Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
Are you running a dual throttle body setup?
I will be. I'm going to cover the pros and cons of dual TBs in a few episodes time
I would love to watch the video but even with my volume turned all the way up, I can barely hear you.
The difference eh ,700 for an ecu or a spanner ,flat blade and a timing light
When you put it like that, maybe I've lot my mind! Might just stick it on carbs and dizzy.
See miata - smash like button
Ha. Thanks. There's plenty more where that came from!
