    Is this the new Whirlpool standard? Instead of including a user manual that shows all the functions I just get an installation manual and then I have to go to a 3rd party site to look at videos for every single function and hope I land on the video applicable to my model stove?

      Same. Luckily, we just replaced our older Whirlpool electric range, so I know how to use cooktop & range. Owner's Manual has zero info on using convection, air fryer, or 'warm zone' features.

      That is why i’m going with GE, better ratings & they provide a user guide.
      I really want the Maytag because it is nicer looking & has a little bigger bottom drawer.
      But, i just can’t.

    This was my second air fryer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The last one worked fine but was large and a bit loud. This one is outstanding. It is smaller overall but still has plenty of capacity. It crisps the food better. You don't get one side soggy if you forget to turn it over. It is pretty quiet, easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. It chimes to alert you to functions, like when to turn over food that benefits from that. The automatic pre-heat is great. The display is large and easy to read, the light inside is actually useful. The window is worth the extra $10. It looks good sitting out on my counter. I haven't been this happy with an appliance for a long time. Good value for money.

    My new electric Whirlpool slide in with wifi updated and added the air fry feature. Some observations;
    1. The airfry mode doesn't tell you what the preheat temp status is like it does for bake. If the instructions are cook at 360 for 11 minutes and you put it in and start the timer it won't reach 360 for seven minutes and your frozen chicken strips will still be frozen.
    2. I set it for 350 (calls for 360 but there isn't a 360 option) and let it preheat - then set timer for 12 minutes - the 4 pieces of frozen chicken were 40 degrees after 12 minutes. Set it another 10 and it was 112. Took a total of 30 minutes plus preheat time - so about 37 minutes to cook 4 frozen chicken strips. My countertop airfryer would have been done in 11 minutes. So far I'm not impressed.

    Maytag does not give buyers a user guide. Neither is there one on their website, just an installation paper. CHEAP CHEAP

    Just purchased my new gas oven with air fryer, and I'm totally dissatisfied. NO MANUAL! I keep hearing these ticking sounds from he oven, and I have no idea what's going on:

      same, it sounds like it is turning on and off and takes forever to reach set temperature. i don't know if it's broken or not, but the airfry setting is basically useless unless you preheat it for about 10 mins first.

    French fries didn’t get crispy. Yes I preheated to 390, the temp I use in the tabletop air fryer. I set timer for eight minutes. But fries limp. Tried 5 more minutes, still limp fries. I don’t hear any fan nor does much air seem to be moving. In fact I can’t hear any difference between regular bake and convection and I don’t ever see the fan in the back turning. I’ve only had stove for a few days.

      I cook my french fries at a temp of 425 for 10-12 min depending on the type of fries I'm cooking. I have no problems getting them crispy.

    This video was pretty useless, as is typical with most Whirlpool documentation. How about giving owners cooking tips when using the convection and air frying features? How long do I cook chicken drumsticks? Do I pre-heat the oven? At what temperature do I cook them? Zero help from Whirlpool. Buy our stoves and then spend a couple of hours searching the web to find out how to cook food with it.

      How long you cook the food for and what temperature depends entirely on the recipe. They're all different.
      Should the manufacturer tell you how long to leave a frozen pizza in the oven and what temperature to cook it at? No, because the cooking instructions are on the package. You need to refer to whatever recipe you're using to get that info, not the manufacturer.
      Some manufacturers do include guidelines in their manuals on what temperatures to use and for how long. But they're just that, guidelines.
