Great video! Would love a walkthrough of the radio setup you use in the car
I'll look into doing that!
Are you from TN? I would be interested of learning more about your ham radio setup and how to use my ham radio more efficient during emergency. I also would like to learn more about storm chasing which I’m becoming very interested in .
Cheers, I'll be out there as well. I'm thinking about the southern part south of okc. Ps the gmrs repeaters are alway Busy during Severe weather. I also use sdr trunk and listening to all of the Digital stuff as well Wrez978
Good to know, I'll keep on eye on the GMRS repeaters. Have a safe chase!
Greetings from Sweden, Stay safe.
Greetings! Will do!
Dont forget about radioreference (RR) for public safety - and some amateur - freqs. Just keep in mind that most stuff on the public safety side these days is P25, and more and more of it is moving to full time encryption (noted with a capital E on the mode column on RR)
Good place to look, but their collection of public safety/emergency frequencies seems out-of-date since most emergency people inc. LEO don't use anything other than encrypted stuff.
What is the radio above your Yaesu FTM-400?
It's not available anymore but it's a ANYSECU W2 Plus Network Radio N60. It's basically an android device with a PTT mic. I use it for Zello and Echolink. Android itself is a bit slow on it, but it's fine to run those apps
There is a newer version but I'm not sure how much better it is.
We don't have many of them here in NZ. But I don't think I would do that for a job
Interesting...
