Nice review, I had been looking at the Mark XX for my 6.75 inch wrist but trying this 43 on at a boutique it looks AWESOME. For a true pilot purist I think the black dial is a no-brainer. Thanks for the review!
I really do like this watch. But the loss of power reserve AND the date seems like a big sacrifice. What remains is a watch that isn't COSC certified, and only tells the time, presumably with no great accuracy. That's a lot of compromises to make at that price point.
The watch isn’t the same without the power reserve and date. I understand why they did what they did but sadly this watch isn’t for me. I used to own the LPP BP but it was too heavy to wear and therefore sold it. I loved that watch. Maybe Breguet will introduce new pilot watches soon.
It is a slightly different watch however the original watches that the Big Pilot are based on are time only and I think it still retains the core charm of the watch. The Type 20 isn't without it's charms either!
@@OracleTimeTV Exactly, people are comparing this watch to the 2002 release, which makes sense until you look at the actually B-Uhr watches and realize that the 43 is the MOST faithful recreation of that watch to date. The original was a manual wind with no such 7 day power reserve and no date. I personally think the 46 looks more appealing, but I see both watches making sense and both have pros and cons.
Silver hands? Not for me. If they were black hands like the Big Pilot 46mm black dial. Then yes… it’s a winner. I’ll stick to the 46mm or The Mark XVIII Also the lug width looks small for the case.
@@AbdElHmyd Of course IWC is sexy, but Stowa is making very solid watches for little money. Steinhart is of a slightly lower quality but for the price still okay.
@@edwintschopp1493 Better still, go for Laco. They actually made pilots watches for the Luftwaffe during the Second World War. They know what constitutes being a pilots watch and they can make them at a price which is really affordable.

Very well balanced and perfect size for a big Pilot 🤍
Man if this came out in 41 or 42 I'd buy immediately
Love the new size but I miss the sub dial
☝️The ultimate POWER reserve / flex. I agree ☝️

No complications and still a large enough movement and case yet cannot do better on the power reserve either?
Smaller size, open case back > Date function, power reserve.
Nice review, thanks. Do you know the weight of the watch by any chance?
No, sorry

Thanks for a nice and informative review.
No worries, glad you enjoyed it.
I love it! But how is this more expensive than the new Portugieser CHRONOGRAPH (with in-house movement)?
It's a fraction cheaper than the Portuguiser Chronograph. They are also both in-house movements.
beautiful
really surprised that #3 passed QC..
Nice
Price?
What size is your wrist pls?
17cm circumference. It states in the description for future reference.
That crown is a signature i know, but still sticks out and still disturbs me...
Get hands on with one and it makes total sense. So easy to operate.

the medium pilot
love it

Drek
Lug to lug? What's your wrist size? This review is poorly made...
Also what lug width for strap?
Wrist size in the description. No lug to lug.
Beautiful and Overpriced.. No date?!? At 9 k?! Why?!
Back to its roots - observation watch. Actually we can go for Laco/Stowa/Steinhart instead...

@@JamesAlexander14 IWC also supplied watches to the Luftwaffe. One of the five that did.
