I clicked on this video and briefly walked away.. all i heard was one sexual innuendo after another.😂 “look how tiny it is?” Holes, and shave more of this off, tight Fit. And I’m standing there peeing and Lmao!
A guy I know installed a CB in his boat many years ago. It didn't work very good, he asked me to check it out. I found the SWR to be very high, after a few antenna adjustments I got the SWR down low and performance was much improved. The next morning at work I walked up behind him as he was telling all of the other employees how HE fixed his radio. He kept saying the SWR wasn't right so he cut some of the antenna off, that SWR still wasn't right so he cut off some more. Finally one of the other guys said, what is that SWR you keep talking about? Without hesitation he said Sumbitch Won't Receive. 💛
We used to buy radio shack crystal CB's and reverse the rx and tx crystals of certain channels for complete privacy and extended range. Nobody could ever figure out who was throwing the mystery carrier wave..lol. I still look for them at yard sales
That is a mini for sure . Should be fine for keeping in touch in your off road adventures ! When the unit is small and light weight I think it will handle the rough ride and vibration,s without a problem.price is right too .thanks Moto ....
I have no use for one, but that's a neat little cb-radio. It's amazing what they can cram into small packages now-a-days. All of my fathers past fuel trucks always seemed to come equipped with Motorola brand cb-radios. The oldest truck he had was a 1986 if I remember correctly, so that one had a pretty old Motorola in it.
@@MotoCheez The closest thing I have to a cb are some simple walkie-talkies I bought for travel and atv riding. But haven't really used them for anything as of yet. Either way, they're there when we need them. :)
wow. i cant believe you did a permanent install on this "portable" glove box radio kind of crazy, if i was going to do a permanent install i would get a radio with ssb and FM at least.....
All the crying babies on the cb. I always kept mine off. Except for traffic report. I would suggest using another freakwenzy lol when conversating back and fourth. PS. "Good buddy" is now used as a 👨❤️👨 reference. LoL.now all you need is the 40" antenna with a tennis ball 👍😂😎 beep beep.
Hay i took mine apart . Bam added fm. Bam 13n10 finals. Hmmm More power. Little tuning and 18 watts swings to 30+ been running for a year like that no problems. I have since converted it to a ammo box rig with a galaxy 225 a lipo batt. And 102 whip. String out some radials sit in the woods and talk skip from georgia all over into utah Nevada new Mexico Arizona. Been a fun little rig.
I have run the ammo box rig for up to six hours before i begin to see power fall off. Without the gaaxy amp running it will run all weekend friday evening to sunday dinner time. It has been a fun little radio for camping.
I've had a mini Uniden one for about 20yrs, still in the box, but all the controls are on the mic. Meanwhile; the first PODOFO Android radio we ordered is going back due to no LF speaker output and the fader/balance controls do zilch. 60*F tomorrow in WI; the Brozz RECON is gonna get a 'lil muddy, Boss. 😎
FM was legalized on US of A cb band a few months ago, and the fact it can scan channels is what makes it a relevant lil rig. Not to be rude on purpose, but the Uniden Pro 520 has a P.A. port, an S/RF meter, only good old AM, but no scan ...gotta get a 880 or 980 for those kinda features, but they are the size of a box of cereal...lol
Wow that's pretty small. You can probably install the radio inside a front storage compartment of a scooter or motorcycle fairing to keep it safe in bad weather. I wonder what antenna choices there are for it?
you don't know how to make a bad video, do you? :-) another great one. making me consider a couple of cb radios for comms in the UTVs. we had some 2-way FRS radios that failed us on our last trip, so we're looking for something else.
Bro get you a Texas Star ⭐️ linear booster box to hook to that CB and Tiny will be talking 100 miles away....I had a Texas Star ⭐️ one of the older Gold ones in my Tractor trailer with a tuned Cobra 29 CB and a Tuned Wilson 5000 antenna and during skip times I’ve talked to other people on home base units 5 states away. 😂🤣🤣 I’m sure I was coming across peoples TV speakers 🔊 as I was driving down the road. But you don’t have to go that strong, you could still stick a Texas Star ⭐️ linear on it for Listening 👂 really far ahead. Also adjust the juice on it and still be able to hear and talk to all your buddies from their house to yours. Because with the Texas Star ⭐️ you can reach them and the Wilson 5000 antenna you can pick their transmissions up even though they are not running the amplifier linear. 😉👍 Oh by the way I’m back bro after a 6 month stretch in the YT prison for making pro Trump comments in October and early November on YT. Got stuck in YT jail just a few days after the crooked 🗳. Yeah Right whatever happened to our first amendment? 🤷♂️
I have one. Owned it for many years, also have a bigger "heater" on my radio rack. I've talked to friends in Florida from CT when skip running that way too! Yeah the banning is crazy on social media...
Nice radio and nice install and demo, but damn I hate cut scenes. I know they are supposed to look cool and sometimes funny, but they are distracting and kill the momentum of the video.
It's holding up well. Sometimes it looses memory to stay on ch19 when I start the truck, but the truck does sit a while at a time. I also did a review on the president Bill, that's a good solid radio too but more $$
@@MotoCheez Thank you for the reply. I've looked at President and they appear to be very good radios, and I like the President Bill a lot. Just wish they would have given it another name. :-)
@@MotoCheez nah i did some change soldered a bunch of stuff and wiped the firmware on board motor whining like nobody business . it still move but these are the symptoms of bad component
I got a question about the clutch, I put a shorter lever, the cable is very tight, when I pull the lever the clutch doesn't engage all the way, what can I do to fix it? Other than putting the stock lever.
At 11:20 in video, you said 9 or 19 was emergency channel. And preset 19 as your rx/tx channel? I don't think you are supposed to transmit on an emergency channel?
That's way too much SWR you should be running about a 1 or 0 I would check and make sure your antenna is not all the way down the base you can use an allen wrench to move that antenna up and down and that will change your or your coax cables didn't look in the best of health I would check them if they're corroded you'll lose swrs
That's the best I could get being so close to the metal. I know it's high. I did try adjusting. Molded wire into antenna. Can't put on roof or it won't fit in garage.

Hah. Boats are tough, no ground plane.
If you hold the A/F button on the CB-27 Pro, it should switch from AM to FM, which has recently been legalized in the U.S.
I'll check it out

Pretty close, just a little larger. Have in my Rubicon.
Love to see these get Bluetooth functionality so you could use them with a phone. I think that could be pretty handy in older non-Bluetooth vehicles.
