    This is amazing this is what I been looking for.
    I am trying to do customize presentation folders, what type of vinyl or material do you recommend?

      A permanent vinyl would work really well for that project.

    Loved ur video. I have some white glossy vinyl but can’t tell what kind it is. It has a grey grid & says cricut on the back. The back looks more like paper & doesn’t seem to separate from the glossy white. I don’t know what it is. Help thanks

    What kind of vinyl could be used to layer on top of iron on vinyl?

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  Год назад

      You can layer iron on over iron on. If you are using glitter or something with a texture that should typically be the top layer.

    Can i use permanent vinyl for tshirt on heat press??

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  8 месяцев назад

      No, it has to be iron on, also called HTV. This type of vinyl is not sticky and only adheres with heat.

    I recently swapped out my Cricut Joy for Maker and I have a bundle that I purchased for the Joy that contained card stock materials. Can I use the cards on the card mat on my Maker?

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  Год назад

      The Joy cardmat won't work in the Maker, but Cricut recently came out with a cardmat that fits the Maker. It can cut 4 cards at a time. The actual card material is the same for both machines.

    Hello I just got one second hand and I was wondering what's that clear paper you use to transfer the design?

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  2 года назад +1

      It's called transfer tape. It's sticky enough to transfer the design but easy to pull off. The Cricut brand transfer tape is really easy to work with.

    Hi, I’m new to cricut. I bought infusible sheets and had major trouble weeding it. The design was small lettering and some details did just peel of. Is there a minimum size for lettering that will work with this?

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  2 года назад

      Infusible ink can be difficult to weed because it's stiff. I don't think there is a minimum, but you'll get an idea as you work with the material. The larger images do cut and weed easier.

    Hi! Thanks so much for making this video. I had a question about using the machine with paper. Is it advised that I purchase the cricut brand paper cardstock. Or can I use the cardstock and scrapbook paper I already have? Thanks again!

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  2 года назад +1

      Any paper will work! Just be sure to choose the correct material before cutting. So knowing the weight of your cardstock will help you adjust the blade and cut settings appropriately.

    I have an older version cricut expression. I would like to use a software compatible with my expression. Do you have any idea what I can use without breaking my bank account? TY

    • @SarahVanderkooy
      @SarahVanderkooy  2 года назад +1

      The current Cricut software is not compatible with the Expression, you'd have to find an older version of it. I wish I could help you there, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. If you are looking at a new machine. The Explore Air 2, which I use this video, is down to $169 this week. The software is free and there are a ton of free designs you can use. I bet you could find it used as well on ebay or even local selling groups.
      Hope that helps. Happy crafting!
