8:43 okay I find this, and the solutions after this really cute. Like a little track maintenance train to perform little maintenance on little tracks :)
Thanks for the video. I have track weathered with Woodland Scenics Weathering Pens. Is there a preferred cleaning method for rail weathered this way? Thanks!
Hi Simon, all of the methods shown in this video are suitable for you if you've weathered the sides of your rails, so you can pick and choose at your leisure.
Hi Dave I use 4 old tri-ang track cleaning wagons on my layout with track magic they work really well I do have two piko track cleaning wagons and one dapol track cleaning wagon they all work well to but I find the tri-ang track cleaning wagons work the best for me Dave
I tried the Track Magic, but going over paintwork ripped the pad to shreds. so I've gone back to track rubber and use a little vacuum cleaner afterwards. It is important to keep wheels clean as well.
As always a good informative video, I purchased the piko cleaning wagon and must have got a bad one as the the axles drop out, the cleaning pad presses down to much on the rails and therefore needs a Powerful loco to pull it, and the pad adjustment screws have stripped there threads, I would like to know other people's experiences with this product in case I just did get a bad one. Thank you for posting.
Hi Paul, that does sound like a vehicle with a few issues unfortunately. If you purchased it from us and its still within warranty, feel free get in touch with our customer team who can discuss options for return or replacement.
@@HattonsModelRailways Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I have had to modify the cleaning car so can't return it but thank you for the suggestion for returning it, do Hatton's supply the CMX mobile track cleaning car?, I have never seen a bad review of it, and would like to purchase one, thank you again for your reply and informative videos.
