This is a response to Spirit Science 31, • Video , by Spirit Science. Clips are used for purposes of commentary and criticism in accordance with US and Swedish copyright law.

Featuring psychic powers, male and female energy which apparently relates to thermodynamics, spinning physical wheels inside our bodies and Jews from space, this is some serious stupid that sadly, millions of people seem to take seriously.

Their only unifying ideology is that the "official story" is wrong, therefore anything and everything else is automatically more plausible. For example, the 9/11 truthers are especially infamous of believing that
a.) The planes were hijacked by US trained terrorists
b.) There were no planes but controlled demolition
c.) There were no planes, they were missiles
d.) There were no planes, they were holograms
e.) There were planes, but they were remote-controlled and the passengers were liquidated beforehand
f.) There were no planes, the towers were brought down by low-orbit satellite microwave-cannons (yes, this is a thing)
And they can believe all of these completely mutually exclusive things, at the same time, and casually switch from one to the other when one is criticized, because the important part for them is not what really happened, but what fits into their own constructed view of reality.
The exact same thing applies to Jordan and any other new-age guru as well. The important part is that the government/science/whatever *has to be wrong*, not whether or not what they say is feasible or even sensible.

Politicians fall into the liar catagory for many because their lies are often of serious importance, the legality/ legitimacy of wars for instance in the case of Tony Blair/ George Bush. Their level of importance and thus, media exposure makes them memorable.
Whereas the average everyday lie is usually of very minor significance and are forgotten. By technicality anybody who has ever lied is a liar, but the lie has to be worthy of rememberance for somebody to be considered a liar

As a lover of astrophysics this spirit science video pissed me off SO MUCH. does spirit science actually think planets can BOUNCE off each other? The only way that would be possible is if they were made of a Practically indestructible reality breaking substance. Saying two planets could bounce off each other is like saying to snowballs colliding at 1000 meters per second would bounce off each other. If planets were really this tough how could planets form at all? At best they would just be like comets and small asteroids, chunks of rocks and dust held together by their gravity. I think Jordan heard about the theory of the moon being formed via collision with a mars sized object and didn't understand how that would lead to the moon's formation so he though, "Oh! I guess that means it bounced off or something?". When even a 10 year old could figure that it means the collision caused material to be launched into orbit of the earth eventually forming the moon. All it would have took is 20 seconds of reading to learn this. I knew these things only a short time after I learned how to read! For the love of the non existent GOD Jordan!

Actually you can find rocks on the moon that are older than earth rocks, as the moon is smaller and cooled faster than the surface of the earth. That and the earth has tectonic plates and a molten inside that creates new rock every day.

Did Jordan just copy the Moon plot from Destiny the video game? The Traveller is celestial object in Destiny which arrived to the Earth to prevent the destruction of Earth. All Jordan is now doing is copying a semi decent AAA game in the hope that it will fit in his delusional view of the world.

I really like the sci-fi series by Ian Douglas (Heritage, Inheritance, and Legacy Trilogies) - in that series the answer to the Fermi Paradox is a galaxy spanning civilization that wipes out any civilization that starts to become advanced and spacefaring in a Darwinian imperative to eliminate any competition. Again in that series the moon was moved into a closer orbit to Earth by a dying civilization that genetically engineered humans to grow into a species to challenge the species wiping out upstart civilizations. The purpose of moving the moon was to motivate humanity to reach for the stars and develop space flight. Fanciful, but a lot of fun.
There's another one I liked by James P. Hogan (sci-fi again, starts with Inherit the Stars) that posits an explanation for the creation of the asteroid belt, but I don't want to give away any spoilers, so let's just say it's pretty cool as well.

Not only were humans around four and a half billion years ago, we were able to survive a global impact that was powerful enough to create an entire asteroid belt, and also pushed the earth something like five hundred million miles closer to the sun. Every time i watch these Jordan response videos i have an urge to watch Spaceballs.
Martymer....as much as I love your videos here, I gotta say I can't watch the entire series in one go, it just makes my brain hurt. I mean even with your great jokes and debunking, Jordan's stupidity is in it too often and I can only face palm so many times before my skull caves in. Keep up the good work but man.....I just gotta remember not to binge watch this series cause that's too much Spirit Nonsense for me in one go.
Can I just say that the animation in this video is really good. Normally Jordan's animation was very basic, jumping from key-frame to key-frame without any tweens. Now he's doing all the proper work and his animations are really smooth and look good. It's too bad the intellectual content is as shitty as ever.
I'm also embarrassed I forgot to mention this: earlier in the video Jordan criticizes scientists for slamming planets into Earth as an explanation as to how the moon formed. Later in the video, Jordan slams a planet into Earth in order to explain where the moon came from.
I love how he claims science claims that Theia came out of nowhere: Theia formed like the the other planets at the time, by gravitational accretion and it is believed that Theia formed in the L5 point of Earth's orbit.
