Like the fact they had their own core material made for this.
I have one. It is a good paddle. It would be even better with a longer handle for 2-handed backhands and more drive leverage... which is where I think this paddle is lacking as compared to the Joola C2 hyperion 14mm or the Carbon 1x 14mm. I like what this company is doing and I believe they said they are coming out with a "Pro" version that will address these items and compete more with the new "hot" paddles that are hitting the market. Time will tell.
AERO¹ PRO will be elongated. Same technology.
How is dinking and dropping with it?
@@robedwards6926 Good
Love the review. Here's to the next iteration of pickleball gear.
WOW!!! Very intriguing. Looks really wide!!! in the video.
3/18/24 The website does not allow you to order one of these paddles. Do you know why?
There’s a little cart at the top of the website.
Love your info & review, just ordered one using your promo code. Does it come with a cover?
Thanks
When I reviewed it there was no cover. They have one now but not sure if it is complimentary …
Didn't see a cover on the website
when I ordered the racquet.
@arcahchong4017 on their instagram it says they have a performance leather case coming soon.
Create videos of you playing matches with this paddle
Unfortunately the two groups I play with have no desire to be on camera and are very private people. There’s a reason I live off grid in the middle of nowhere 😂
"THE BRITISH ARE COMING, THE BRITISH ARE COMING!!"
Looks pretty damn cool.
The paddle co. I "pimp" for is based in Spain n U.S. so i guess we'll be seeing more from across the pond..
Price seems reasonable n design is interesting.
Wonder how it works in the hands of someone who knows how to play??😅
How is dinking with it? Also, how is the spray on grit holding up?
I like dinking with it since it has a large sweet spot considering it’s an edgeless thinner paddle. Been playing with it for around 2 months and grit is holding up so far.
Others have made one piece molded "racquet". What i want to know is what is the nanotec surface.
I own 1 of these. Spray on grit. So far seems durable, but only time will tell.
@@johnsanchez2589 Since you own one, how do you like it? Is it more control or power oriented? Worth the money?
The surface feel imho isn’t the main key to the spin but rather the overall design and the dwell time that comes from such engineering. It’s a fairly smooth face like Gearbox/Pro Kennex.
Still too early. Initial impressions was it’s ok. I’m still getting used to it. Spin seems good, power is middle of the road. It does well in the soft game, dinks, resets and blocks. It’s definitely fast in the hands. 5” handle is tough with my two handed backhand, but drilling should smooth that out. Just don’t know if it’s worth the price tag. For reference, I switch between a gearbox PPE, Selkirk Luxx, 11Six24 Hurache-X, Aseka Rose Kevlar and the HPC J3. All great paddles and I’m not sure if the Aero1 can replace any or all of these. I’ll keep playing with it to see if it can outshine any of these amazing paddles.
It is stiff, like the Hurache-X stiff, so dwell time is short making it a bit poppy, but as you can see I play with 2 very poppy paddles so I was able transition easily to this paddle, in regards to pop.
You did not give is the specs on this paddle. What is the Spin, Swing Weight, Twist Rate, Power, and Pop? How do we know how the paddle plays without this critical information? Thank You, Ragazzo
I provided the information that was available. OM has contact information on their site.
play@ompickleball.com
Static weight = 8.10oz. Swing Weight = 109. Twist Weight = 7.0 Power = One of the OM guys just clocked a 64mph serve.
This paddle is amazing! 👏🏼
What are the handle specs--length, circumference?
Grip Length: 130mm (5″)
Grip Circumference: 10mm (4″)
THEY SHOULD'VE DONE IT COMPLETELY ROUNDED LIKE THE TMPR'S PADDLES. IT COULD'VE BEEN A REAL RACQUET WITH THE SHAPE OF ONE TOO ;)
Seriously the best paddle.

What is the weight and how much are they ?
8.1 and $250
I don’t see a “USAPA Approved” on it
That’s because I have one of the batch that was submitted but eventually approved.
@@sleevespickleballreport ah. Gotcha
@@sleevespickleballreport...USAP approved on 2/15...on their website.
I thought it had to have strings to be a racket.
Nope🙂
I think it is semantics and I agree with you.
is that USD250?
Yes
...but is it legal for USA Pickleball???
Yes
Yes USA Pickleball Approved Feb 15th 2024
How does it spin? High spin rate??
I don’t have any numbers but I’ve never hit dipping drives like this in my life.
So far based on a couple reviews, the spin rate is not that impressive on this paddle. For $250.00 you should expect in the top tier. It looks a lot like Gear Box's Pro power design. That paddle had edge chipping issues, was harder to use in the NVZ, and reset with. Not sure on this paddle if it will have similar issues. This paddle needs to beat other 2024 Carbon or Kevlar paddles in speed, spin, and control or it's just too pricy for what your getting. PICKLEBALLBZ
I think this paddle allows one to move through the hitting zone faster. It’s very quick in the hands which for me creates more action on the ball. My ball dips more with this paddle than ones with supposedly higher spin rates because it’s easier to swing at a faster speed. I also don’t have any problem controlling it but it’s definitely not a control paddle.
@@sleevespickleballreport That makes no sense. The spin rate is what gives the ball dipping action, through the magnus effect. If you hit the ball faster, but with less spin, it will have less arc.
@@sleevespickleballreportGreat response addition to the original comment.
What you're describing is just a unibody paddle, which every thermoformed carbon fiber paddle has.
The AERO¹ is actually a little bit different. It's double thermoformed for a reason. The first process creates an independent racquet frame (looks like a tennis racquet without the strings). The core is then fused to the inside and the whole thing is thermoformed again with 5 layers of carbon, 3K and finishing. Thermoformed paddles have the shape including the handle cut of out PP and the face and sometimes edges thermoformed around them. Usually using wood or EVA foam to 'create' the shape of the handle. The difference in design and construction is what gives the AERO¹ more of a tennis racquet feel.
@@jonnygibaud7954 So it's copying the Gearbox Pro Series...not exactly a "first".
@@LowDinksHijinxPickleball Not really, while the AERO¹ does hit like the Gearbox Pro, but with a racquet feel, Gearbox uses a patented carbon chamber system which is actually very cool but doesn't have an independent frame. For paddle construction I think Gearbox Pro is hard to beat, but for racquet construction the OM AERO¹ is very different. Lends to a different playing style too - tennis style vs traditional style.
@@jonnygibaud7954 What do you mean by "independent" frame? What is the gearbox frame dependent on? Either way, I don't know wtf you mean by "racket" feel. A racket doesn't just have a frame, it also has strings. A ping pong "racket" is more similar to a pickleball paddle, in that it's made of sandwhiched layers traditionally - not an outer frame. And a ping pong racket feels nothing like a tennis racket. So this whole video is just lost on me from the start.
Unless you can show wind tunnel stats, the aerodynamics claim part is BS.
Coming. :)
Looks very similar to Prolite K2 Power.
How much you get paid to shill this? Thought it played awful
Not paid just my opinion…just like you have one. #trybeingnice
I am a nice guy just calling it like I see it. Maybe we got a different batch, But all the guys that tried it hated it.
Lol they just copied the Prolite K2.
Similarities but some differences if explored further.
@@sleevespickleballreport minus the face, that’s about it.
Double thermoformed, core construction is different, swing weight is different, twist weight is different and static weight is more uniform…but other than that😑.
WTF are you talking about, they do not call them rackets in ping pong. They are called ping pong PADDLES. This man is clueless.
@@sleevespickleballreport Newflash: that site is created by Chinese people and they've used a translation service in various places. In rare occasions there are mistranslations that result in "racket", but if you look around their site - in the vast majority of cases they still call it a ping pong paddle. And beyond that website in the native english speaking world, nobody calls it a ping pong racket.
Not really into Googling eh? First, only folks who don’t play table tennis call it ping pong and second try using Google before saying something about it.
@@sleevespickleballreport Haha YOU called it ping pong in your own video. Nice one! Wikipedia says "Though the official ITTF term is "racket",[1] the US generally uses the term "paddle", while Europe and Asia use the term "bat"'. We're in the U.S. and/or Canada, right?
Made in China?
U.S.
Upon opening the handle grip. I can see that the racquet frame is made in Japan. Maybe the Nagoya plant of Toray for carbon fiber. The core is probably assembled for final thermoforming in US.
Uh, no, it's a paddle. Merriam Webster defines a racquet.
