I have been playing pickleball for about a year and a half, play tennis still, and grew up playing table tennis. I'm happy to see this framed racquet construction approach being pursued. I honestly was surprised when I started getting into the game that this tech was not on offer from any brand or model. It seems like an obvious proven way to advance performance. I will put OM at the top of my list for my next pa.. racquet!

People need to make video's of people playing with this paddle so we can see the paddles in action. And when are you going to have pickleball clothing, backpack, edge guard tape or OM protective tape, shark skin tape for the handle, shirts, shorts, etc. I have 2 elongated gearbox pro paddles and cannot wait to buy and try the OM Aero 1 Pickleball's Racquets. who is the tennis pro that uses your racquet.
Great interview Sleeve. My friend plays the Aero and loves it. I've hit it a few shots and liked it also. I'm hoping that a different head shape can be made with the same advantages of the Gen 1. I do like a "wide body" head shape, but with a curved tip.
There was no talk about the core. I would for sure get the EVA model.
There's a limited run of EVA foam cores coming out on the OM AERO¹.
Two characteristics need to be developed to vault this to a top tier paddle. (1) Top tier spin. Over 2300. (2) Durable spin that lasts a long time. Proton paddles come to mind. Daescu's paddle has lasted 5 months through all the gold medals etc. By the way, there are already many paddles that allow tennis type strokes including wristy strokes. And some provide great values such as the Spartus Apollo that reminds me of some of the qualities of your paddle, but even better. (i.e. 2300+ rpm, wide body, 109 swing weight, 7.45 twist weight, great pop, high quality construction including brand name Dupont Kevlar, USA designed. All for $117. )
