Alloy is a really interesting album. The first track sounds like it was mixed by the drummer, but on the whole they really did a QED. Once you know they wanted to brutalize true Idol (Mio was an idol for 10 years) and understand where they are coming from, it totally works! Sally is a bit awesome too, this combo will hopefully stick at it.
New genre for sure or a mashuo at least. Sally is a metalhead and she was also the founder of Lipstick. Mayu of Nenophila was there as well at the tail end.
Wilst the genre is not really new, they have an extreme contrast in their music. Other cute metal or kawai metal bands are for example Baby Metal or Necronomidol, wich I like a lot too.
