Pricing is so confusing in Garment Decorating, but when I get an Embroidery Machine, I’ll just charge a hooping price and by stitch count to make it easier.
You provide a quality professional service. Know your value! Definitely charge a rush order fee. My goal is an embroidery machine this summer. For now it's sublimation shirts, and no one bats an eye when I say 7-10 days. Thank you for such an honest and informative video!! 😊
It's hard to determine charges. I get it. I still tend to undercharge because I want to be reasonable and have repeat customers, but it's hard when you realize that it should've been more. I tend to do my own products. I've done a few where the customer has brought me their items, but I like it better when I do it. I know others have a form that they have customers sign for their own items brought in so that you can't be held liable. I know there are some days when my machine has a mind of its own. Lol
Hi Britt! This is perfect! I’m having to adjust to yet another significant change in my life but still want to keep this business going in addition to all of the other work and stuff going I do. Great ideas and suggestions! Keep up the great work on your house and balancing all that you do! ❤
I like all your videos including building your new home. I would love to build my next home so that I can also design my craft/sewing/quilting room. All the youtube people I watch mix their videos with other parts of their life.
Hi Brittany, thanks for your honesty. May I ask you do you work a 40 hour job outside the home? You are blessed to have family that assists you. Wishing you much continued success.
I think it also depends on where you live and if there are other embroiders in your area. I know with longarm quilting if the area has a lot then your price has to come down or you won’t get any business, but on the flip side if you are producing great work (which you are 😊). People shouldn’t have an issue with price. Are you going to have a space in your house for your embroidery machine?
You are correct location does make a big difference. A lot of people around me don't offer one offs so that's why I do okay and yes I'm going to have an office/craft room at the new house. Trying to figure out mentally how I'm going to organize everything but I'm excited for it and of course I will be vlogging it.☺️
Hi, I have a file I need digitized. It has small font, I thought I could digitize it, but my skills are not there yet. Can you recommend someone a digitizer for me. PS I love your videos!

I bought a multi needle a few months ago just for my personal use. I think it would be nice to try to do it for a very small side hustle.
Yes, the more you do it you'll end up loving it. Just put your name out there on social media and see what orders come in.
Britt I am the same way. I know I don't charge enough. But I do mine mainly as a hobby or enjoyment.
Great Job explaining charges and fee.
I love your videos. Wish they were longer. Keep up the great work. Boricua Sewing and Crafts (Jeanette) has some great informative videos.
Aww thank you 🥰

I'm having fun vlogging other things then just crafting so thanks for the feedback ☺️

Can you do a video on how you adjust your threads when having thread breaks, thread coming out the needle etc etc, with a ricoma machine?
Just to confirm adjusting my knob tension?
I liked and subscribed 😊
That means a lot thank you 😊
Get the customer to post thier stuff directly yo you, saves you driving out to meet them
I've done that for people I know, but I don't like giving out my address to strangers.
@@brittanybriggs3806Oh yes of course, Hope you find a solution
Get a UPS postal box in the store or a box in a past office near you.

Thank you, personally I work with 360 solutions and I've been pretty happy with them.
