Autistic person here, with autism you can unintentionally harm someone, with that being said what Alex did wasn’t accidental. When you accidentally do something cruel or hurtful as an autistic person you learn to watch your words and sometimes not speak at all, we learn this quite early. This was not that, he’s made no effort even if this is a “mistake” to better himself, and there’s no excuse for any action you take no matter how mentally or physically f’ed you are. He’s taken no accountability whatsoever, and he never will.
The thing is when I find out I accidentally hurt someone I tend to really make sure to apologize and communicate what I really meant no matter how clunky. Misunderstanding people and people misunderstanding me hopefully leads to our communication being better as two people. Paedophilia is literally never an accident, and the lack of understanding the perpetrators have is about what a child is, not what social norms are. For how horrible the situation is, I find amusing how things play out in groomer’s minds when they set up excuses like “the minor came onto me! I just reacted!”. In a game chat I had a minor flirt with me once when I was already over 18. I didn’t even reply and kept talking about the game. In my mind I realised they were coming onto me, and I didn’t even acknowledge that. It’s incredibly easy to say “no”, or, if you don’t want to offend the kid, ignore it or pretend you don’t see the obvious signs of flirting. It is very easy and you will forget it in like 5 minutes. If they are obstinate, block them. If you don’t want to block them, set boundaries. If they still go over boundaries, block them. They’re stupid but like… that’s to be expected with teens. I won’t doubt Jelly might feel like she had more power, and objectively she did a stupid thing by playing along, but it STILL doesn’t make it her fault! She explained why she did that and I think it’s noble that she tried to gather information on whether YanDev was dangerous or not. Putting herself at risk, really shows that she’s very kind and helpful. Of course she thinks she was manipulative, cause she has been taught by the real manipulator to always criticise herself before others. By doing that, everything that happens around her seems to be her fault in her own mind since the first person she accuses is herself. It’s horrible and she deserves so much better than the cards life has dealt her. She deserves to not have all this pressure placed upon her to save the life of a man who threw his own life away. I don’t know her and never will and I don’t want to be that armchair psychologist kind of person, but she’s putting other people before herself so often, she’s got to have burned herself out by now. Yanderedev released an "apology" video about this matter. I saw it. It only makes things worse. A number of things: First, he only spent like half of it apologising. The rest was spent shifting blame, denying evidence and insulting detractors. So that's already a net loss. Second, he accepts fault, but in a very bad way. Basically he framed what he did not as deliberate actions, but as unfortunate side effects of his numerous mental health issues, arising from him working on his game. One, you don't _accidentally_ do something like this. Two, blaming his actions on his "mental health" is a horrible excuse he uses a lot, its insulting to people who do have mental health issues and it in no way justifies his actions. He's _35,_ for Lord's sake. And three, the extremely disjointed way he explains himself essentially still qualifies as him distancing himself from his actions, as he is still mostly blaming something external to his own decisions. Third, his promises to "fix his life" are probably lies. This isn't the first time he's told everyone he will turn his life around, and seeing the state we are in, they have all fallen flat. And while I can't tell the future, I don't see why he'll start actually trying now. Last, he uses the "Jelly's" letter in the video. If there was anything that could be mistaken for sincerity in it, him using a confession he knows he doctored as a defense of his innocence kills it dead. Nuff said. I believe that his "apology" is just a terrible attempt at damage control now that the issue has blown up too far to sweep under the rug. But I'll rate it above Ukele girl because he at least admitted to having done wrong.

Tried stealing textures, outfits and ect from them. Even stole multiple textures from me. When I came out about Yanderedev stealing the textures from me, Yanderedev came into my dms and asked to my face is my name was *insert discord name here* and if I had "spread lies about him stealing" even after I called out his bullshit. GOD! I hate Yanderedev.

Me and my gf are working towards remaking the concept of yandere simulator without all the gross and unnecessary stuff. I honestly just wish to provide a decent game that doesn't suck in every aspect, especially for those people who still hope for Alex's yandere simulator and don't want him to be punished just so that he can keep "working" on the game. Like you already said in the video, the game is literally garbage to it's own core, and YandereDev likely has to lie to make it sound like the game has actual value. And that's just sad honestly. The core-core concept is not too bad, but he only contributes to gross aspects which literally reflect the twisted kind of person he is. And it breaks my heart to see so many young people support him in the hopes that the game will be complete one day, as we know it's literally impossible.

I won’t sugarcoat it, it’s not going to work. The gross elements (especially of a sexual nature) are the most interesting parts of Yandere Simulator. Playing as a girl with absolutely no moral compass who will do anything to get the person of her dreams is what Yandere Simulator is all about. A lot of those people are most likely young teens probably around the same age as the victim, so to them they do not fully understand that the Apology was BS, and when your so invested in something like a game project you tend to become blind/protective over the it when something negative comes across it. It why you see people defend games like Call Of Duty when the games get criticized for adding microtransaction in it. Plus YanDev been clearly been deleting the dozens of comments that actually criticized and called out his BS.
This is just pure evil. Using a child to (do some thing) to make you happy and then lie about it every way possible. After certain events, I no longer believe in just statements, if Alex wants ME to believe him, he must bring me evidence, a real evidence not just "my source is that I made it the fuck up". Where's the evidence? He wants the people who doubt him to believe him and does SHIT to actually make that happen. I’m autistic and a survivor of childhood SA. Hearing Alex’s words come out of Jelly made me cry. It’s so uncannily blatant and out in the open air how this isn’t okay. I want to state: being autistic is not an excuse for abusing someone. Being autistic does not mean you are not responsible for your actions and words. Him trying to use that as an excuse is deplorable- especially since autism makes you a prime target for exactly this kind of abuse. ASD folk spend so much of their lives trying to figure out how to navigate certain social situations. It’s often uncomfortable, unbearable, and confusing. So often we are told that we need to sit through our discomfort and told to “not make things harder for other people”. Those of us that mask(and if YandereDev/Alex is saying that he’s being diagnosed now that would mean that he has been masking up until now) we are PAINFULLY aware of societal and social guidelines. Masking means learning what is expected, what is inappropriate, and what is not to a T. I’m not saying that Alex’s social quirks couldn’t be attributed to autism- but it does not excuse or explain his inappropriate behavior to minors. Him trying to justify himself using that is just… it makes me so angry. I am hyper paranoid of interacting with those younger than me because of my history being abused along with my autism. I monitor what I say and do so much more when being around minors. I don’t want to accidentally cause someone the kind of pain and distress I experienced. Continue to experience.

Autistic person here, with autism you can unintentionally harm someone, with that being said what Alex did wasn’t accidental. When you accidentally do something cruel or hurtful as an autistic person you learn to watch your words and sometimes not speak at all, we learn this quite early. This was not that, he’s made no effort even if this is a “mistake” to better himself, and there’s no excuse for any action you take no matter how mentally or physically f’ed you are. He’s taken no accountability whatsoever, and he never will.

For how horrible the situation is, I find amusing how things play out in groomer’s minds when they set up excuses like “the minor came onto me! I just reacted!”.
In a game chat I had a minor flirt with me once when I was already over 18. I didn’t even reply and kept talking about the game. In my mind I realised they were coming onto me, and I didn’t even acknowledge that. It’s incredibly easy to say “no”, or, if you don’t want to offend the kid, ignore it or pretend you don’t see the obvious signs of flirting. It is very easy and you will forget it in like 5 minutes. If they are obstinate, block them. If you don’t want to block them, set boundaries. If they still go over boundaries, block them. They’re stupid but like… that’s to be expected with teens.
I won’t doubt Jelly might feel like she had more power, and objectively she did a stupid thing by playing along, but it STILL doesn’t make it her fault! She explained why she did that and I think it’s noble that she tried to gather information on whether YanDev was dangerous or not. Putting herself at risk, really shows that she’s very kind and helpful. Of course she thinks she was manipulative, cause she has been taught by the real manipulator to always criticise herself before others. By doing that, everything that happens around her seems to be her fault in her own mind since the first person she accuses is herself. It’s horrible and she deserves so much better than the cards life has dealt her. She deserves to not have all this pressure placed upon her to save the life of a man who threw his own life away.
I don’t know her and never will and I don’t want to be that armchair psychologist kind of person, but she’s putting other people before herself so often, she’s got to have burned herself out by now. She deserves rest. She deserves power on if and how she tells the story. Emphasis on if. Yes, getting Dev his comeuppance is important, but she can’t begin to heal from this trauma if people keep asking her again and again.
I hope there’s someone trying to help Jelly get into therapy or some sort of professional help. I know we’re all strangers on the internet like Cali said but it broke my heart to read Jelly’s texts and see her blaming herself for Alex’s bullshit. Yanderedev released an "apology" video about this matter. I saw it. It only makes things worse. A number of things:
First, he only spent like half of it apologising. The rest was spent shifting blame, denying evidence and insulting detractors. So that's already a net loss.
Second, he accepts fault, but in a very bad way. Basically he framed what he did not as deliberate actions, but as unfortunate side effects of his numerous mental health issues, arising from him working on his game. One, you don't _accidentally_ do something like this. Two, blaming his actions on his "mental health" is a horrible excuse he uses a lot, its insulting to people who do have mental health issues and it in no way justifies his actions. He's _35,_ for Lord's sake. And three, the extremely disjointed way he explains himself essentially still qualifies as him distancing himself from his actions, as he is still mostly blaming something external to his own decisions.
Third, his promises to "fix his life" are probably lies. This isn't the first time he's told everyone he will turn his life around, and seeing the state we are in, they have all fallen flat. And while I can't tell the future, I don't see why he'll start actually trying now.
Last, he uses the "Jelly's" letter in the video. If there was anything that could be mistaken for sincerity in it, him using a confession he knows he doctored as a defense of his innocence kills it dead. Nuff said.
I believe that his "apology" is just a terrible attempt at damage control now that the issue has blown up too far to sweep under the rug. But I'll rate it above Ukele girl because he at least admitted to having done wrong.

Honestly it’s disgusting on what they’re doing to these people. Also blaming it on a disability makes me sick as well. I know disability can have effects on a person’s actions, I have ADHD myself and I know someone with autism so I know first hand on how that can effect your actions, but that still doesn’t excuse what he did. It is wrong and should grow up and admit to his actions like a adult.

Me and my gf are working towards remaking the concept of yandere simulator without all the gross and unnecessary stuff. I honestly just wish to provide a decent game that doesn't suck in every aspect, especially for those people who still hope for Alex's yandere simulator and don't want him to be punished just so that he can keep "working" on the game. Like you already said in the video, the game is literally garbage to it's own core, and YandereDev likely has to lie to make it sound like the game has actual value. And that's just sad honestly. The core-core concept is not too bad, but he only contributes to gross aspects which literally reflect the twisted kind of person he is. And it breaks my heart to see so many young people support him in the hopes that the game will be complete one day, as we know it's literally impossible.

Like all fangames I've seen so far isn't really good as yandere sim and yandere sim as a game has many stuff you can do it / easter eggs / mission mode / eighties mode / many mechanics / many achivements / many endings / custom mode (in next update only for 1980s) / alternative 1980's mode (nest update)

The gross elements (especially of a sexual nature) are the most interesting parts of Yandere Simulator. Playing as a girl with absolutely no moral compass who will do anything to get the person of her dreams is what Yandere Simulator is all about. I know you’re probably talking about the nudity and panty shot mechanics, and those are indeed unnecessary and I hate them, but people exaggerate how much they’re a part of the game, and the real flaws of YS are an over abundance of useless mechanics, shallow plot and no clear identity. I’m glad that it seems the internet isn’t taking YandereDev’s bs apology. His video was honestly hard to get through because it reminded me of how my own groomer responded after I had exposed him. The victim blaming was especially disgusting. Him using mental illness as an excuse is horrible as well.

He removes basically all comments that are even remotely negative, and even ones where it’s just people giving constructive criticism. The fact that he’s getting any support at all though is a shame, although I assume it’s either from children who don’t know any better or other groomers.

A lot of those people are most likely young teens probably around the same age as the victim, so to them they do not fully understand that the Apology was BS, and when your so invested in something like a game project you tend to become blind/protective over the it when something negative comes across it. It why you see people defend games like Call Of Duty when the games get criticized for adding microtransaction in it.
Plus YanDev been clearly been deleting the dozens of comments that actually criticized and called out his BS.

I’m autistic and a survivor of childhood SA. Hearing Alex’s words come out of Jelly made me cry. It’s so uncannily blatant and out in the open air how this isn’t okay.
I want to state: being autistic is not an excuse for abusing someone. Being autistic does not mean you are not responsible for your actions and words. Him trying to use that as an excuse is deplorable- especially since autism makes you a prime target for exactly this kind of abuse.
ASD folk spend so much of their lives trying to figure out how to navigate certain social situations. It’s often uncomfortable, unbearable, and confusing. So often we are told that we need to sit through our discomfort and told to “not make things harder for other people”. Those of us that mask(and if YandereDev/Alex is saying that he’s being diagnosed now that would mean that he has been masking up until now) we are PAINFULLY aware of societal and social guidelines. Masking means learning what is expected, what is inappropriate, and what is not to a T.
I’m not saying that Alex’s social quirks couldn’t be attributed to autism- but it does not excuse or explain his inappropriate behavior to minors. Him trying to justify himself using that is just… it makes me so angry.
I am hyper paranoid of interacting with those younger than me because of my history being abused along with my autism. I monitor what I say and do so much more when being around minors. I don’t want to accidentally cause someone the kind of pain and distress I experienced. Continue to experience.
