Yes, it's a difficult name to pronounce. For us from South/Southeastern Slavic lands, there is a tendency to just say "Grzegorz" with z's being pronounced, as our alphabets are phonetic, and there's a tendency to want to pronounce every letter. But the little I know about Polish is that those z's are usually silent, so I'd probably err on the side of just Anglicizing his first name and pronouncing it like "Gregor" unless I had a friend from Poland to teach me.

Dina, you know my first impression of you was not so good, but the more i've watched your games and listened to you i've change my opinion of you. In fact I think you are amazing, beautiful and very switched on. Just listening to you I realised how smart you are, and so inquisitive, you ask questions about every aspect of everything. I would love to see more games you play and listen to your amazing creative brain.
The BALLS making that move against Gajewski. Jfc, I would just save this game and show it to all my friends for the rest of my life, no matter which side I was on.
10:22 "He was looking for freedom, and all he found was a tomb" Ominous and poetic. A little bit of the April 1st video rubbing off on your commentary going forward.
At 7:01 Instead of Qd4+ (which is a good move nevertheless) , there's a better move that seals the game. 1.Qd6+ is more forcing, because now black has only ... Ke8 2. Ng6+ Kg/f7 3.Re7+ and it seems like the mate net is inevitable. Or am I missing something?
I read your comment and actually started thinking about it. 1. Qd6+ looks more forcing, the king has less squares, but every square he goes to leads to m2, whereas you proposed a m4, seems like it's just faster checkmate that way.
@@trist-9339 That's what I thought of. Maybe Dina was under time pressure, and didn't give it much of a thought since the move she played also wins. Who knows.
I'm not sure what you're reffering to. This position never actually happened in the game. This forced checkmate could only occur after Qxa4, Gajewski played Nc6 instead.
Isn't the quote above the board from Bobby Fischer instead of Botvinnik? He said it on the Dick Cavett show after Sandy Duncan asked if all chess players are egomaniacs.
Levy did a video of a game he played with Magnus Carlsen that he won that was almost this exact game! It was the same opening and mid game with the same conclusion. Weird to see approximately the same game twice in one day from different Chess commentators.
in fact, this game is almost the exact replica of the game between Grandmaster Levy Rozman and some little known 2800 by the name of Magnus Carlson. A wild game that ended with Grandmaster Rozman absolutely Rizzing on the poor Carlson.
Love the way Agat is saying "Grzegorz". It is totally wrong but sounds great!
