My only question : Why did Our Lady answer a French peasant girl in Spanish, instead of French ? Her language was French. Has no one wondered this or attempted to answer this? I would never expect the Blessed Mother to answer me in a language that I didn't speak .
She spoke the local patois, a language that is common in that region of the Pyrenees Mountains that borders Spain and France.
Yes, the local dialect. I lived in France and the dialects vary region to region and many words are unique to the South and especially in the mountainous regions; Fatima, Lourdes, La Salette.
Mary spoke to her in Bernadette's own language.
Perhaps it's like proof that Mama Mary said it and not her. If Bernadette does not speak Spanish still the priest understood it.

I am content staying out of this process . After all , joy is needed as it feels living a dark night of the soul. It’s not a victory at all but a constant struggle. Canon law is difficult .
