this is probably the first and last time i use stardust because i don’t own her :(

Instead of just sitting and listening to this I'm going to actually post a comment lol: this feels like it may be about Maladaptive Daydreaming (the mentions of living in another world like a paradise- as though it's a way to escape real life) and dissociating (like the mentions of barely being connecting to your body and drifting away)
or it could literally just by about someone with blue hair in space and I'm thinking too much into this lol

Huh, i hadn't listened to this before. This one's interesting! Often, synthetic vocals songs either go one way or the other, they sound full on human, made to be a songety songy regular song, or they'll be syncopated, full of weird stresses, embracing the synthetic/voicebank nature. While I don't fully dismiss the concept of the latter, it's much rarer when I'll like it. This actually toes the line with its stresses, and it winds up sounding emotional, like her breath is catching, it's a really impressive balance you've struck.
Also, it's an interesting story theme you present, too...the failure to deny reality. The silver cord, the tether to the body, like the connection to oneself is the connection to dreams and fantasy, but to fall into the void, the cold, dark, gray, is that eventually our dreams are subsumed by reality. I've noticed it too. A lot of media present it as the other way around, losing touch with oneself as the entry into dreams and away from the reality, but I really resonate with this perspective. Not to say my imagination is dead, it just comes and go in phases, the fantasies and daydreams of my head being stubbornly interrupted with a 'stop thinking about this. You've replayed this too much. It won't help you, or anyone. Nothing will come of it.' Even this too is transient though, I reclaim it eventually, or quickly, thus far.
