      Thanks for keeping an eye out!! Most of the platforms have adopted the old school "pay for play" business model. Since we don't buy subs, we are largely ignored by the "algorithm"...
      It's a dirty business... 😒

      Where were you - north or south?? Tragic what is currently happening with the fires... 😪

      @@TwoWheelsThreeSheets I came in from the north (Cuiaba -- Pocone -- Transpantaneira) -- by bus ☺ -- and stayed in a Lodge about halfway on the Transpantaneira.
      Yes, the fires are tragic, but nature will recover if we let it happen. But I totally agree with your comment: don't wait, go there soon -- which is also true for the rest of Brazil (and the world). I was shocked to see the masses on the Argentinian side of Iguassu -- that was such a romantic place 35 years ago.

      @thoschmidt7287 if COVID taught us anything, it's that we may not get the opportunity "one day". At the rate Brazil is burning, there might not be much to see soon... 😪🤐

      Those were croc infested waters!! Apparently the leathery bastards only hunt at night (or so we've been told)... 😬
      Those black water rivers certainly are NOT the clearest water on earth - so even if they were a bit peckish, chances are they couldn't fins us! 😅

    Wow what a beautiful place. The difference between a croc and an alligator?, one you'll see in a while, the other you'll see later. It's a shame the leopard wasn't about. Maybe it didn't hear the vehicle coming?.

    How often do you go through chains and sprockets on your travels. I’m trying to decide if I should get a chain drive or shaft drive adventure bike. Any major issues withe the Africa twin? I love your videos.

    • @TwoWheelsThreeSheets
      @TwoWheelsThreeSheets  3 месяца назад

      We put 100k km / 60k mi on the AT.
      In that time, we went through 1 set of sprockets, and I would guess 4 chains...
      The only issues that we had with the bike were directly related to how heavily laden it was. Suspension was always an issue. We burnt through one set of clutch plates, and our floting front brake rotors needed to be replaced..
      But all things considered, I am EXTREMELY happy with how the Africa Twin performed.
      The potential for catastrophic failure, as well as the difficulty in obtaining parts for shaft drive bikes, is a major drawback in remote areas, IMO...

      @joseacevedo8026 3 месяца назад +1

      @@TwoWheelsThreeSheets thank you for such a great detailed answer, it definitely makes me think twice about shaft drive. Africa Twin is what I’m looking to get.🙏🏽

      Thanks for watching!! If you've watched our videos, you may notice we tend to mix the music up a bit, primarily in an effort to avoid using the same, mindless, overly-dramatic music over and over again. Sometimes I (Chad) get a bit overindulgant. I realize that my quirky tastes don't appeal to everyone, but... it's all in the name of fun! 🍻
