      Well I mean Sugar Ray Leonard has done a similar feat. Ali never made an excuse after losses like blaming the ref about how fast the count was. No shade being thrown here. I think boxers in general are as strong as hulk when it comes to mentality and admitting their misdeeds considering what they go threw. Nonetheless, I agree that when tyson talked, it made sense and he sounded like a wise old kungfu master.

      I think most guys have I’ve seen it so often
      Takes a a lot more strength to figure the root of your insecurities and deal with them then mask them with what is a lot of times fake toughness

      Because his insecurities are not in how vulnerable he is. He has no insecurity like most people do like “what will people think of me”. Strong minded people have other insecurities like their own mind. They are competing against themselves. Most people are competing against others to outshine each other to feel good. They are like fish in a sea.

    For a split second he actually seemed like a regular human being, like the rest of us, as he allowed himself to wonder if he was really good enough. Amazing seeing an athlete so iconic be so honest. “IT HAUNTS ME…it haunts me…” Felt that shit.

      He was the greatest in his very short prime (which was over probably in 1987, he abandoned what made him the greatest well before Douglas, and we never ever saw that Tyson again).

    I’ve never met Mike, but I love him.
    There’s no lies coming from his lips, his wisdom is well beyond his age. He speaks intelligently, but funny at the same time. He is my #2 favorite after Ali; both masters in the ring, and geniuses all the time.

    Me too, i cant handle disappointment even if its my own fault. We all always aim for something but in the process when things goes wrong either its our own fault or somebody else it will get you disappointed. Before i watch this i can't admit that i cant handle disappointments, now i realized that im unable to handle disappointments.

    The achillies , the napoleon, the Alexander of our time… the 48 laws of power mentions how a true warrior a true powerful man will seek more enemies than friends.. for enemies benefit your reputation more than a friend… a powerful man shall embrace conflict for the more conflict he has.. his reputation is one to admire because everyone will have a reason to fear him . Mike Tyson fought 1-2 fights a month… nowadays we’re lucky if we get a boxer to fight 1-2 a year

    I was a kid during Tyson's prime so I don't remember it well, but I do remember him being kind of a joke, intellectually, to most of society. He was considered an idiot and a lunatic. Listening to him as an adult, I am blown away by his mind. As much greatness as he achieved in the ring, Tyson is a great example of someone who could have really done a lot more for himself and society if he had been treated right along the way.
