You forgot to put the flare nut on before making the flare. Signs of a true HVAC tech

Well, Im sorry for most of you here who had a bad experience using this tool. I personally love it. It's the best flaring tool on the market bar none. You don't have to ream the copper before you flare, the tool does it for you. He said it in the video expect for he called it deburring. I made two beautiful flares my first time using the tool installing a mini split.....the best I've ever made. I have pics to prove it. I bought this tool in August of 2018 maybe they made some modifications but it sure works well.

To prevent scoring of the flare, debur the tubing well and keep the flaring cone clean and oiled.

you didn't ream the inside end of the copper pipe, if you look at the finished flare the surface wasn't smooth which is necessary for a good seal.

i have it and used it, it's hard to unlock and plus the cone will turn again the flair tube and destroy the flair seat on the copper, you will need a high torque to tighten. very disappointed with this tool.

I am sorry to say this tool did not work ,why because the it had no ridges on the collor holder, and the mini split 1/4 pipe this flare tool did not hold it do not spent the money on this tool 100 buck thrown away I bought it at Dickson in Athens after I made them aware never go a return call, so I called yellow jacket they told me they were aware of the problem amazing nowadays you buy something and that's the end of it yellow jacket should recall this item and revise the problem and exchange all out there as dignity is in order and respect to all who buy from them with expectations.

You write a letter to the attorney general in your area or district. if they get enough complaints the att-general will file a suit against them.

I didn’t like the look of your finished flair face. Looks like you left a ragged edge, or didn’t de burr properly. You can see the scars and un even surface on your flair.
