It does get a bit overwhelming at times, I won’t lie. It’s a 5 day per week course for a reason! But there’s lots of academic support at unis and you can go to the lecturers if you need some help understanding. I think the worst bit is not knowing what to expect, but once you’re there I’m sure you’ll find your way of taking notes etc and managing the workload. You usually have 4 modules, and some unis do 1 module at a time and some do them combined throughout the week, so it’s hard to say how the theory will be. In 1st year you’ll learn about anatomy and physiology, public health, midwifery policies/laws/medicine management and skills. Hope this helps!

I started my observational placement for 2 weeks at the end of October, and then December was my next block where we were expected to start participating a bit more x
