I always liked Horsch machinery but now like it even more. They have so much passion and understanding for what they do, I have no worries their business will bloom for years to come. It must be really inspiring and a great working experience being able to learn from these people.

The culture and ethos of horsch set by the family is admirable and arguably the fundamental reason for the success of the company...they are farmers building equipment for farmers. Fantastic video james ...keep it up

What an awesome awesome video James. I am intrigued by the auto depth and whether that can run on a soil type map to vary seed depth and seed rate - that would be awesome. I have always wanted to go to Horsch. They are fascinating people and such great amazing engineers. More of this would be fantastic !

Mind blowing.. In my days (early 80's ) 40 foot spraying / spreading was big. Boom level control just about to develop. 200 gallons
approx. 1000 litres. Fully mounted. Now self contained machine and 50 plus meters. I'm just going to spray a 10 acre field
one round and once down the centre I'm finished. Just mind blowing. Thank you for taking the time to film and show another
    world.

  • @PhilFowler-Jones

I think it’s fair to say that was an eye opener, and very refreshing to see a whole family so passionate about their products. It remains very true though about the politicians versus the farmers/ agricultural communities world wide. The increase in food production necessary by 2050 is, most likely an extreme underestimation , based on projected population growth. Sir David Attenborough famously stated that human population has risen from about 2 billion to approximately 8 billion in his life time. Meanwhile politicians of every persuasion only have a 4 or 5 year plan , which mainly seems to be based around keeping their jobs at the next election, whilst simultaneously pandering to the ‘military industrial complex’ that President Eisenhower warned the world about in 1960.
Thank you for providing such interesting and informative content.

Philip and Micheal are incredibly inspirational and nearly visionaries. Brilliant video
It’s incredible how Philip explained how there is honour amongst thieves within in the machinery industry based on mutual respect, wish this was true in this country, perhaps our politicians could learn something here!
James’s birthday / late Christmas list 2 x 48m s/p sprayers 1 x tandem axle 48m trailed sprayer and 1 x 48m trailed pneumatic fert spreader, and a 12m avatar to make up the load!
Benchmarking does happen in the uk through AHDB Farmbench through small farmer lead groups

What a video, excellent. A suggestion, ring the Horsch brothers and make sure you did not buy anything. I was totally hooked on their Product Knowledge and how comfortable and confident with their answers they were. The four of you looked under their spell. Check the cheque book, they were excellent. Thank you for sharing, again, epic video.

A fascinating and hugely informative video. Thank you ! The Horsch story and ethos is one which many organisations from manufacturing would do well to study. It’s an amazing success story and the people at the top seem to be very genuine and damned good fun to be around. It’s rare to see such harmony in a large family oriented business. It’s great to see how they listen to and work with their customers. Thanks again.

Great guys those guys are so passionate and positive! Interesting to see there testing facilities! I spent 35 working with caterpillar machine's there reliability and durability came from testing and quality control, test test test ,they used to send us new final drives etc to fit to machines because in our mines we could put 7000 hours plus a year on machine's because we operated 24 hours a day ! Personally I would never buy a totally new design of machine until a year after release and has been proven in the field

Very interesting to see the Horsch pneumatic fert spreaders and the demand for them by German farmers, perhaps food for thought .The best part about meeting like minded people is learning from each other. Off topic “ As long as man kind is on this planet food will be needed “whatever there diet”, so farmers will be needed.

Horsh are an impressive company from start to finish. Good thinking James on taking 2 of your operators out to the factory for a real insight to see how Horsch do things. A 50% increase in demand for food in the UK is a Huge jump, yet the uk government are clearly aiming to push uk farmers out and are happy to be at the mercy of worldwide producers and losing all control or confidence in the food chain
