Series adapted from the award-winning play about a young woman trying to cope with life in London whilst coming to terms with a recent tragedy.
Fleabag is a British comedy-drama television series created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, based on her one-woman show first performed in 2013 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The series was produced by Two Brothers Pictures for digital channel BBC Three, in a co-production agreement with Amazon Studios.[1][2] Waller-Bridge stars as the title character, a free-spirited but angry and confused single young woman living in London. Sian Clifford stars as Fleabag's sister Claire, while Andrew Scott joined the cast in the second series as 'The Priest'. The protagonist frequently breaks the fourth wall, providing exposition, internal monologues, and running commentary to the audience.[3]
The show premiered on 21 July 2016 and concluded its second and final series on 8 April 2019.[4][5] It received widespread acclaim from critics, particularly for its writing, acting, and the uniqueness and personality of the title character. Many critics and viewers have called it one of the greatest comedy series of all time. Waller-Bridge won the British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for the first series. The second series received 11 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won six, with Waller-Bridge earning Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series; additional acting nominations were received by Clifford, Olivia Colman, and guest stars Fiona Shaw and Kristin Scott Thomas.[6][7] The series received the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series and Best Actress for Waller-Bridge, and a nomination for Scott.

Scott and PWB are old friends. She had him in mind for the part when writing it. As she did with the Godmother.
Ahhhh I was eagerly awaiting your reaction to s2e1. It's suuuuuch an incredible episode. I love this season so much. I'm actually glad there isn't any more of the show because series two is perfection. Can't wait to see what you think of the rest!
well ... technically ... Waller-Bridge was done after the first season already. That was the adaptation of the screenplay and she didn't want to do a second season and only reluctantly gave in after finding an interesting angle. And so creating an absolute bombshell of a season.
Ep1 is perfect.
Ohh interesting! So glad she came back for s2 because so far it has been an amazing season!!
It's crazy that season one was the only one planned and it was perfect. Only for her to be pressured for another one, she agreed to it, and it's arguably better than the first one.
I am so happy you started season 2 right away!!
First episode of second season is an absolute masterpiece. I love it so much
I watched Fleabag because people started going crazy for Andrew Scott's character. Was not disappointed!
This is a perfect season of television. I'd love more Fleabag in theory, but the series ends so beautifully that it would kind of be a betrayal of it to keep going.
If you suffer from Phoebe Waller Bridge withdrawal after Fleabag, watch Killing Eve.
Watch s1 of Killing Eve, which was the only one Phoebe Waller-Bridge was involved with. It unfortunately goes downhill after that (I say because I watched the whole thing)
@@orangemarmalade77 season 2 was good tho.. season 3 was when it started to get kinda meh
If I watch only S1, does it have a ending which it makes sense to only watch one season?
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 You will still have a good time if you only watch S1, but I suspect you will want to continue with S2.
My god, I can't wait for you to finish the season. Loving these reactions. You should do season 3 of Fleabag with you in the starring role!
I love Season 2, and am so glad you're enjoying it too!
The father really has all of us kicking and giggling
'You must feel rotten' is like an English way of saying 'you must feel like crap/not well/generally not great'
I have been waiting for this
PWB initially intended to write just one series on her one woman stage show. After the first series became so popular with fans and critics alike, the BBC and her American producers put a lot of pressure on her to write a second series. She eventually agreed and came up with this gem. Simply genius.
Love this series ❤❤❤
You done your Hair Girl ? Yeh Suits you, looks Good.

Yes!
I loooooved this season... Hot Priest can get it lol ❤😂
Yeah, Bill Patterson's a good actor - he's definitely portaying some sort of cognitive decline here - it's a lot more pronounced than in the first season.
If you enjoy English shows, three-episode seasons, and that particular hot priest, you might want to check out Sherlock sometime if you haven't yet. The priest plays a cute little role in it. Quite the interesting show too.
Is the priest really that good-looking?
For me, it's because of the way he carries himself... personality can elevate everything. I'd say the dashing guy from the first season is a lot more "conventionally attractive" but his personality gives major icks... the Priest is hot to me because he has so many green flags, social skills, knows how to value people flexibly while protecting himself... things a lot of people look for in a man, really. :)
Maybe ilooks a little childish at the begining but i think u would enjoy the owl house tons!
If I did a self-portrait, I would hang it up. But, in general, I don't like her either.
