I haven’t been that cold in a while, but it’s bloody horrible when it gets in your bones. It creeps in over hours, and it takes a good while to thaw out! This is proper motorcycling- pack up and head off!
Hi Emily and Joe. It's pleasing that you found the Interceptor perfectly good enough for what you asked of it. A 'real' motorcycle... ? The two of you seem so in synch with each other. Always a joy to tune in. My very best as always. x
Hey up you two, the view in the begining from a little high road looking down on a dam made me think youse are on my patch and will i be seeing ladybower and the snake next, enjoyed this video well filmed and edited looked like fun apart from that evil cold
The wind was vicious in the beginning, glad it settled down. Glad you enjoyed it and it sparked curiousity to guess where we were. We enjoy that game too when watching touring videos. Ride safe
Thanks for taking the time to comment, glad you enjoyed it. We are continuing to try new camera angles and editing software. Nice to hear it's making a difference. Ride safe
Good to see both of you taking a break from the bike shed together. Gotta say, for a Bank Holiday weekend, there seemed to be very little traffic. Cheers from Alabama
There really was , it surprised us. We did a little bit of filtering on the motorway but not too much stop start traffic. Perhaps people were travelling south away from the windy weather warning! Only us fools going north. Cheers for the comment.
Okay, I'm just going to say it: I usually don't like the music beds that YT creators use. A lot of times they're too loud or obtrusive or simply not in fitting with the content of the video. But I totally dug the music you guys used in this one, Joe! Absolutely stunning video from beginning to end. Sorry about the rain - hope the rest of the trip was fun. Great video :)
A proper all-weathers ride, lots of nice stops and mini adventures along the way, a cosy takeaway (I'm guessing!) to get the cold out of your bones and a getaway in a nice B&B.. you two have got it SORTED :)
That Indian restaurant was a life saver, the staff were super friendly helping up warm up and stop the chill getting to the bones. The weather forecast told lies, we shouldn't have got wet haha. Cheers for watching.
That’s beautiful! I hope they have improved the seat! I had the first year Interceptor. I swapped the original concrete seat for the optional pine “touring” seat. Oddly, my 500 and 350 Classics were perfectly comfortable.
Great to see you fantastic people enjoying a well deserved break on a fantastic motorcycle! Did Emily have space for her world famous slippers? That's the most important to pack! Have fun you two!
Hi Joe and Emily you beautiful people. Thanks again to the most photogenic couple on utube with proper content oh and by the way thanks so much for not charging an arm and a leg for your stickers and a potential Halford chamoise sewn up as a screwdriver tool roll.
Hi guys glad you gave a good review of the interceptor, I think they are a great bike, and wish I knew you were visiting my home town you could have called for a brew, great vid loved it will be watching out for next one, NW biker dude ,
Emily ,Joe, ist great your experiencing what the rest of us Interceptor owners are experiencing its a very underrated motorcycle great vlog guys. out of the shed is also great entertainment you guys are so natural Joe your lucky Emily is so into Motorcycles ❤
It's a great bike, we really enjoyed it. We took it on a lot of different roads and in a variety of weathers and it held up great. Really impressed. Cheers for your support.
Just bought that exact bike... a bargain. To replace a 350 classic which was a cracking bike, just too slow... Really enjoying the 650, nice engine and handles really well despite the average tyres.. definitely a keeper.
Hi, we love a motorcycle road trip. You've got some nice DJI cameras, wireless microphones & adapters. You've got some great footage & audio. I hoped you pulled them all off in time when it started to rain. We've made the mistake of leaving ours on too long in the wet #expensive
We managed to save most of our equipment, hence why there's no footage of the rain. We did lose one of the old mics to water damage, it doesn't charge well anymore, we were relieved it wasn't the newer set! I can see why you love a road trip, we had a blast.
Loved the video and excellent bike. I did a week in Wales on my Interceptor in June, from Norfolk. Performed perfectly and kept up with 3 mates on faster more powerful bikes. Loved the fact that every morning at the fuelling up point. I was spending roughly £13 whilst my mate on his MT10 was spending double that amount 😊
Had my 650 interceptor for 3yrs, 3 piece luggage, 11.5k miles, done lots of touring and can say it was a brilliant bike only had one fault and that was the speedo cable wires streched causing intermittent needle bounce, easy fix, the 650 motor is a peach, sold the bike now as i fancied a change, but very sure i will have another in the future ❤
@TheWurks went back to shaft drive with a 1215 tiger 2014, needed a bit more comfort, what a thing it is, also have a mint zzr600 2001 cracking little bike 🏍 😀 👍
If I'd have known you were calling at Morecambe you could have called at mine for a brew and a butty. I'm just 2 miles north of Morecambe. You more or less passed the end of my road in Hest Bank where you stopped for fuel. Looking forward to the next video.
Hi, great to see you getting on well with an Interceptor. A lot of people have criticised the pillion footrests for being uncomfortable and badly positioned, how wre they for Emily ?
Hi, I found the position for my knee and hip perfectly comfortable, I did find them a little too close to the pannier bag on the right side, I could only just get the heel of my boot over. That's just personal preference though liking the peg in the centof my foot, thanks for your support. Ride safe.
Hi Emily and joe was waiting for you to ride through carnforth and video jumped to the motorway haha never mind it was nice to see you in my neck of the woods
Ah sorry pal, we had to eat some miles after that or we risked getting to our B&B after check in. The windy weather meant we rode slower and more cautious than origionally planned. Thanks for your support and comment.
So, Emily, any plans on doing the CBT? Biggest benefit of having your own bike is having your own set of panniers… problem solved! My wife got her license at age 43, and the only thing she regrets about it is that she didn’t do it earlier.
I have played with this idea on and off over the years. 3 years ago I did my CBT on my Mutt Mongrel. I was pleased I proved to myself I could if I wanted to, but we always go places together and I found I couldnt be as nosey when I had to focus on not crashing. I do often get fomo at events though wishing I could ride. You never know, I might give it a go another day. I am enjoying being able to capture good footage for the channel as a pillion. Thanks for the comment, I am glad your wife enjoys riding. Ride safe
Looking forward to your thoughts on the RE INT 650 Black Ray... I've just bought the very same but won't be home to give it a ride for a couple of weeks. Ride safe
@@TheWurks Have you found decent trousers and gloves as well? I'd appreciate some info on what you've found to work. (I'm a returning biker and my Belstaff Trailmaster wax cotton trousers appear to have shrunk while being in the wardrobe).
Great trip on a very nice bike, good to see views based on going two up rather than the usual solo. It's amazing how blokes give up their luggage space for women on journeys and it's still never enough 😂
Thanks for watching, Joe always has to compromise 😆 we have really enjoyed the different type of footage we can create 2 up with our new equipment. Ride safe
Love my INT in Arizona with GIVI side cases, and RE touring seat (looks like stock) upgrade. 2 years 19,000 miles. Almost traded it for a 2014 BMW F800GT which I test rode and really liked, but: I don't really do that much long distance highway stuff, just occasionally and the INT does just fine, the INT is really nimble and controllable and a pleasure for my work commute, and I can do valve clearance check and oil change easily myself. It constantly gets complements too. It's modern but has a lot of character. Hey, should I order some proper "INTERCEPTOR" side decals to replace my deficient "INT" ones? What would be the best way to remove? (should have done this months ago....LOL)
I have an 650 interceptor it's got a 13.5 litre tank it's good for about 160 miles never realised that the newer model was smaller never took a pillion on mine had it reflashed last year but all is well now it crosses along at 70 ok and good at cornering but not keen no the ceat tyres so waiting to replace them
How do you find the Interceptor v the Bonneville as far as weight pushing around etc.? I have a T100 - looking maybe for something a bit lighter. Is the Interceptor the way to go?
Hi Guys This is gonna be a noob question, If i wanna customise my Classic 350, for example the exhaust swapped. That will not be ULEZ and Noise compliant anymore. Is there a way around this ? Or just have to accept that if i customise then i have to start paying certain London charges
We think so, could go around Europe certainly. Would need bigger panniers and Joe complained after a bit wanting a more comfortable seat - I was fine, I think he is just moaning haha! Great bike. Thanks for commenting.
So glad you guys are doing this trip on an interceptor 😊 I tour on mine with my son on the back. With all our camping gear. I can't think of any people I would rather do it. Ride safe and enjoy.😊
The majority of people who own these bikes, Don't tour two up? They are quite powerful enough, They are most Definitely not under powered, If you want to go touring with a Pillion and gear, your on the wrong machine, Cheers Paul 👍
Cheers for your comment and for watching. We found it a great bike for 2 up. Spacious, comfortable, handled really well and more than powerful enough for our trip. We would happily have done more miles if we had the time. The seat we had was a touring seat which we feel made a big difference. Ride safe.
I don't think its the wrong bike. I toured extensively on my '79 Bonnie. Similar do-it-all format. I'd be tempted to get a rack and a tank bag though. Mind you I've never had a bike with a windscreen, so that might make it easier in my advanced years.
I haven’t been that cold in a while, but it’s bloody horrible when it gets in your bones. It creeps in over hours, and it takes a good while to thaw out!

Real bikers go two up on long trips with 650cc. No need for a 1300GS, half is enough. Well done, and nice video- and music work!
Haha not sure we qualify as 'real' more silly and usually fair weather 😆
