This song by The Pretenders, "Don't Get Me Wrong", is a true gem from that golden age of music. The melody is incredibly catchy and Chrissie Hynde's voice is simply stunning. This song takes me back to a time when music was authentic and had true meaning. I love how the band mixes the elements of pop and rock to create a song that is perfect for singing and dancing.
@@malcolm2637 I saw them last night....still amazing, and her voice is still totally on point. Bonus, they played this tune, which I didn't expect at that point, second to last tune of the second encore. This has always been simply a perfect pop song.
This was the only hit they did not play in Oslo this summer...Really i missed it 😢But anyway fantastic finally to be on a concert with Chrissie, drummer Chambers and the new young guys 👏👏👏😃❤️ Thank you, Pretenders ♥️
It's not often I've ever said this but there's too much guitar on this. Get off the stage Auerbach! Play for the song, drop one of the slide players (Dan!) and tone down the overdrive on the pedal steel
Pete Clarke A lot of songs do not translate well from the precision of the studio into a live setting much less television studios. Even what we hear here sounds different from what this television audience hears live. What we hear was through a soundboard. Personally I think they sounded stellar
@Pete Clarke There´s ZERO overdrive in this... What are you even talking about?? You wrote this comment 3 years ago, maybe even before you knew what an overdrive really is.. I bet you´re embarassed now. "Tone down th e overdrive on the pedal". What an idiot xDxD
Great except from the guy on the red Gibson, who is totally outside of the mood of the song with his slide performance, should be playing with the Grateful Deads. Miss Robbie McIntosh nuances. But she is in top form and the bassist is good. I´ve seen them in Buenos Aires last month and they sounded really good.
Did anyone else notice she started to sing acting so distracted for the first verse and quickly changed it to kinda dazzled. Even the greats have their off days. And wtf with all the guitars. Not needed. Love Chrissy though and this will always be one of my top ten songs of all time 😘
Don't get me wrong, but they missed totally this song with Auerbach's guitar. His bad slideplaying and wrong guitarsound with 335 humbuckers ruined the whole song. As often said, less is more.

They were absolutely brilliant in their prime and probably still are.😊❤👍🏴🇺🇲🇸🇪🇳🇴🇨🇦😁

Truly one of the great voices of the era. Still sounding good
The song is as fresh as the day I first heard it ,now thats's what I'm taking about
It's 2022 and still listening to these kids....don't get any better. Thanks guys
Good to see the only other surviving original Pretender, Martin Chambers, on drums.
1 of the greatest bands EVER !! No one sings like Chrissy !!!▪▪☆
Love the chugging riff
b e a u t i fu l---- this band never fails to inspire.
Great vocals ....spot on !
At gym got goosebumps on my legs. Simply wow
Great song by one of the greatest front person In the music history!

Is that Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys?
They are both from Akron, Ohio. And they both graduated from the same high school.
Her voice is intact!
The voice is lol
As soon as she opened her mouth 👄 i was floored:) 🎶
@@youandwhosearmy6339 LoL i got it
Amazing.
Indeed. And I have always found something simply capturing about it.
OMG still the sammmme 🙌🙌
Great singing and song.. 💜
Love her saw her live whenever they came to town 😇shes just special
I miss her black hair and eyeliner, but the magic is almost there but not quite. How on earth can these ace musicians keep it up ? ☕😎🥳
the ritmic bass is great
Originally performed on the record by TM Stevens (RIP).
She sounds spot on
Brilliant!!!
Amazing group!
Excelente!!!
Superb.
Wonderful !!!
Still great!
Impresionante¡¡¡
Wow la voz perfect😊
Chrissie božanstvena konstana alfa i omega.. fantastično...
Siempre los Ingleses nos sorprenden 🇨🇴
I almost went to one of their concerts, but the guy was afraid to ask my Dad....1981.
Awesome
Serious dancing round the kitchen vibes👌
The Best part of Chrissie Hynde she doesn't do anything Half Hearted she's in 110percent True Music Lover
Es muy hermosa ❤❤❤❤
Siempre bella...
❤❤❤
Chrissie justs keeps getting better!

When you have a song like this, “you want to eat it all at once.”
Love🤘🤘
❤the pretenders
Love you Chrissie...
Tremendous!!!#thebestfemalerockstarever🏴
Mitch, I agree.

Don't get me wrong
If I'm looking kind of dazzled
I see neon lights
Whenever you walk by
Don't get me wrong
If you say "hello" and I take a ride
Upon a sea where the mystic moon
Is playing havoc with the tide
Don't get me wrong
Don't get me wrong
If I'm acting so distracted
I'm thinking about the fireworks
That go off when you smile
Don't get me wrong
If I split like light refracted
I'm only off to wander
Across a moonlit mile
Once in awhile
Two people meet
Seemingly for no reason
They just pass on the street
Suddenly thunder, showers everywhere
Who can explain the thunder and rain
But there's something in the air
Don't get me wrong
If I come and go like fashion
I might be great tomorrow
But hopeless yesterday
Don't get me wrong
If I fall in the 'Mode of Passion'
It might be unbelievable
But let's not say "So long"
It might just be fantastic
Don't get me wrong

3 guys to replace Adam Seymour and they still can't handle it.
Davi Aquino what happened to Seymour
Groovy
Deluxe version 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
oouuu yeaahhh tnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I love you Chrissie Hynd
Is Martin back on as drummer, I hope so.

Joseph-He is right the slide guitar is out of place of where the keyboard played.......As there are 2 guitar parts in the original anyway
335 not needed
@Pete Clarke There´s ZERO overdrive in this... What are you even talking about?? You wrote this comment 3 years ago, maybe even before you knew what an overdrive really is.. I bet you´re embarassed now. "Tone down th e overdrive on the pedal". What an idiot xDxD
into it :)
I wanna grow old like them! Where's the recipe?
Fuck up! LMAO' Cause they are for real! Xo

that's Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys). I agree I cannot imagine why she used him on this song.
Absolutely
Slide guitar has no place on Don't Get Me Wrong. 😕
the arrangement with the multiple slides sounds stupid, and that is a shame, as everything else sounds good
Isnt the dude with the red gibson the guy from the black keys?
Great version with four guitars.
Dan Aurbach Black Keys
Did anyone else notice she started to sing acting so distracted for the first verse and quickly changed it to kinda dazzled. Even the greats have their off days. And wtf with all the guitars. Not needed. Love Chrissy though and this will always be one of my top ten songs of all time 😘
If it works for her it works me….
Last nights version in DC was stellar, without the pedal steel and the dude from the Black Keys effing it up with that slide guitar.
oci su mi pune suza
i dont know how to do this anymore
Is that Dan aurbach? From the black keys? Or just looks similar
Dan should have gone 'Back to Ohio' 😉😃
Love this... but too many guitars IMO
I always liked this. The slide guitarist needs muting...a lot!
It's Dan Auerbach playing the red Gibson?
Yes, he produced the record.
I think it is a red Gretsch
GingerRum it's a red Gibson Trini Lopez
Love this song, but live or studio it deserves a better ending.
Chrissie Hynde is the greatest woman rock star IMO.
Adam Seymore over these guys anyday
Cool done freaks! But at an older age take the time to rentire! 💕 XU!
there's a guitar out of the tuning I guess the red guitar
That guy trying to play slide ruined it.. He should take lessons from the karate kid.
i don't no who i am talk too,,
ma-raa-vi-lho-sa
She's still smokin' hot.
She is now a GILF
WTF was up with the slide guitar? It overpowered this performance and muddied it. Chrissie sounds amazing as always though.
Agree it ruined the whole song.... Changed the whole vibe. Keep steel guitar for country and western.
"Pretenders" not "the pretenders" because of reasons 😅
BBQ beard shouldn't be there.
Er... whose idea was the pedal steel guitar? 😞
Ladies and gentlemen Mickey Rourke on the drums.
I'm glad Gretch boy and slide no longer feature
😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘
Chrissie your beautiful sugar..
Don't get me wrong, but they missed totally this song with Auerbach's guitar. His bad slideplaying and wrong guitarsound with 335 humbuckers ruined the whole song. As often said, less is more.
better then black eyed peas
nah
Thort it was Alice Cooper!.....but I wish it was now!
What the hell is this cacophony? What were you thinking Chrissie? Would be way better with just Martin and Chrissie onstage! Terrible!
I dont think shes playing live.. Unless she has people working her tone for her.
All the guitar volume in the world can't hide that her voice is gone.
Who’s the guy on slide guitar destroying this song? 🤢🤮
I have to say, that guitarist with the red guitar is ruining the best part.
Steel guitar just ruined one my favorite songs
The worst version I've heard ...A lot guitars
That slide guitar ruined this performance.
I thought it was a dude still she started singing
Could have done without Mr. Holland. He got in the way and was out of tune!
Huh? He’s not even playing on this song.
This is how it looks, when little girls refuse to realize that they have become grown women, not that Mick Jagger is any better. Good song, though
