- In this video i talk about all of the recent Genshin Impact content creator drama including many massive names such as, Atsu (AsianGuyStreams), Enviosity, Tectone and Braxophone. This has been going on for the past few days and has branched from the 4.4 Lantern Rite Rewards situation. I cover a full timeline of the drama and go through each individual creator in detail making sure that you understand everything that went one without reading hundreds of paragraphs!

it's very clear that Atsu's just an IRL villain here. Whatever the other's behaviours are Atsu literally has damaged people's careers and lives. And Envi bringing up someone's ex-marriage into an online beef is disgusting behaviour.
Your timeline is incorrect. If I recall, it went like this: Zyox started the situation with the tweet. The Genshin community went after Doro and went after Tectone, both of which responded. Then, Fob weighed in and called out Tectone/trying to boycott. And then Atsu called out Tectone and didn't name Brax, but called him out by suspecting he and Tectone were talking. Brax tweeted a response, Atsu tweeted a response, Tectone responded again and defended Brax, Envi attempted to jump in and threw shade at Tectone about Fream while others were stepping forward to discuss their own issues/experiences with Atsu and his story/treatment of Brax.
I like how the CN Genshin CC is doing the lunar new year fan video while the Global Genshin CC is making an entire episode of " A genshin cc version of classroom of the elite"

Calling it “ruined the community” is putting it lightly. This is about allegations on how one man has the power to select and destroy the growth of any content creator he wants who is covering a hoyoverse game. He is attacking their jobs and that’s why it got so big
this! and the question is why the hell does he have this much authority? billion dollar company and they're letting a narcissistic manipulator influence their very own space for growth potential and reach. so stupid.
It might be, but please remember that AS OF RIGHT NOW, we have no evidence for atsu actually destroying the growth of most cc's by blacklisting them in hoyoverse. While I personally believe he definitely did, to some extent, until that it's always innocent until proven guilty. Kaza is a content creator, and it makes sense for him to try and stick to the facts here.

Though Atsu did some slimy stuff like calling out brax though impliedly to try to sow discord between brax and tec, the accusation of atsu controlling it to the point where he could gatekeep is theoretical at this point. And like he said, he was able to choose cc's close to him to get to go to conventions which kinda gave him some control. But that's just like inviting friends over to a party which doesnt necessarily equate to him being an evil mastermind. One thing I dont like though is how he easily dismissed brax for just a few bad interactions. All in all, atsu still did pretty bad.

@@letroll8065 Well from what I have seen, it because of Zyox making that tweet which caused Tectone to respond about the harassment both him and Doro got over the few days. Which was promptly followed up with Brax posting that document about Atsu. And to add fuel to the fire Tectone and Atsu have some very bad blood. Though I cant understand why Envi followed up the drama with his very out of time posts
@@letroll8065 Well that tweet may not be serious to Zyox but it did cause his viewers to harass both Tectone and Doro. To the point where Doro had to actually address it. And as far as I know, Zyox did not say anything that post, he didnt condemned that sort of behaviour. I will be honest, I did find that tweet to be a bit funny.

Envi posting his thread about tectone giving him "PTSD" to try and cover up the atsu situation, was the most fucked up thing to come out of this.
Also, bringing up his divorced marriage is also the WORST thing he did.
It was a mind boggling out of pocket move. I accept that some people are just more sensitive than others, I don't say "soy boy" and "cuck" and stuff. But Envi not just blocking the source of his "trauma" defies all logic.

@@chameleoncham3911 I feel only kiiinda bad cause Envi saw Brax address his trauma and probably thought "oh I'll share mine since everyone else is." But Brax was dealing with real issues, gaslighting and potentially getting blacklisted; Envi got teased a little, took it way too seriously, and made a fool of himself. Definitely shouldn't be on the internet.
I have never been happier to not use twitter than rn, avoiding this stuff and just watching from the sidelines is so funny yet concerning that these people are so popular

It's obvious what's going on. I can't believe more people can't see it. Braxxophone is always highly critical on newer units and gives the best advice on spending on weapons and characters/constellations. Atsu is a corporate salesman/mouth-piece for Mihoyo. Of course Mihoyo's finest is going to try drama and distance themselves from braxxophone. His(brax) advice is pro consumer and cuts into Mihoyo's bottom line financially. You know, the same reason why Tectone and Mtash are black listed. They give better advice to their fans, and are not completely sold out to a gacha company for benefits.
Atsu and envi really got cooked good it's funny how it all started ratsu vs brax but the biggest loser in all of it its envi how can you even say that you have ptsd bc you got called a mint picker lmao if i were him i would be too embarrassed to stream for a long time
it's crazy cause Envi's cooking was completely avoidable by him. All he had to do was stay silent / block or ignore Tectone and no one would have said anything. But he chose the worst possible course of action instead.

Can you take Envi seriously? This is a creator that banking off be "f2p" and have video basicaly tell his viewer to not quit the game way back despite the video litteraly sponsored by mihoyo. Too many snakes among these 3 big creators and two of them are just took advantage the drama to divert and distract player from the real issue the game have.

The GI community was always ruined. Or at least since early 2021. It happens to every community that gets too big. All you have to do is compare the GI subreddit with the HI3rd one. Its a popular anime game full of socially awkward teenagers and millennials with too much free time, these are a lethal combination. That's how you get bullshit like Kokomi and other VA's being attacked online, elitism on behalf of so-called "lore players", harcore theorycrafters mocking people who don't play meta, the Sumeru skin color controversy, etc. There is only a rather small fraction of the active fanbase that is level headed and most of these people just don't interact online that often.
The GI community was always a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, HSR's release made it even more complicated
just check any smaller gacha games, they are a whole lot wholesome and have helpful community, sometimes even HI3 takes fire.

One correction of the timeline, after zyox tweet fobmaster made a thread about tectone, atsu made a thread about tectone as well while subtweeting Brax as a bad influence and supplier of the 'hoyo contracts' allegation. Then Brax made his doc

@@akira8393 yeah video makes it seem like Brax started it. But it was Atsu's subtweeting, 'I have an Idea about who's spreading misinformation about me getting creators hoyo contracts. I'd say stay away from that guidemaker, don't surround yourself with people like him' as a good faith advice to tectone(salt of the earth) from not mingling with the 'guidemaker' aka brax(he admitted he was talking about brax in the now deleted thread he made after Brax's doc).
This is the most important catalyst in starting the whole fiasco.

@@Animarux_ It's like how Glamour/Transmog is the end game of FFXIV, WoW, and Warframe(fashion frame). The "Endgame" is never the endgame because no true endgame can be expressed with a simple youtube how-to guide. Genshin has no self-expression for the players, so the content creators have no end game other than to yap at each-other.
This is why the only lawful-good content creators for Mihoyo are the lore youtubers.
You missed a few things that I think are really important:
Brax didn't just send his doc out of nowhere, if I remember correctly, Fobmaster sent out a 6 tweet statement about Tectone, Dish commented on those tweets, and then Atsu made a statement on Twitter too. All 3 CCs were negative towards Tectone. At the end of Atsu's statement, he warned Tectone that an unnamed guide maker might be manipulating him.
Brax knew Atsu was referring to him, so now Brax and Tectone (Brax and Tectone are friends), were under attack from Atsu. This became the perfect time to finally speak out about Atsu, while at the same time defend Tectone.
Also, Atsu isn't the one that asked to take a picture without Brax, that was someone else, Brax just assumed this. They wanted a picture with only the people staying at the airbnb together. This correction might have come from Atsu, I don't remember, so there's no way to know if that's true.
Please comment with any corrections, so much happened, it's hard to keep track of.
Full disclosure, I'm a fan of all CCs mentioned except for Fob, I don't dislike him, I just never watched his content. I stopped watching Atsu a while ago because he rarely posts videos and when he does, they're just summon streams that I don't care about. After all this, even though there isn't hard evidence, I believe most of the claims made against Atsu so I'm done with him.

One thing I realised a long time ago is that if you are a Genshin player posting vids, you are more likely then not a toxic person. Most people you find in game are pretty chill and helpful, but online discussion forums or RUclips? not so much.
Once you go from there its easy to determine who to watch or not, no matter how "popular" they are and pretend to be.
Personally I wouldn't say 'Ruined' but 'exposed' would be better. Now people can contruct their own judgement as they have all the facts in public.
Also, MrPokke had the best coverage for the situation in the 13 hr vod of him.

@@lelouchlemprouge6380 so to give context the whole we are neutral thing started because mrpokke's original stream was just reading over brax's document. He mentioned that he'd remain neutral on this matter regardless of his relationship with brax or tectone. As to see only facts.
As the stream went we got various statements, then tectone, mtash, atsu and eventually Asmon got into this and as the judgement starter to shift away from atsu. We said it ironically because anyone looking at facts would know that Brax was the innocent party here.
I'm really sorry for what happened to Brax and many other creators, Atsu is such a 🐍. I think that the outcome of this drama will be positive tho. It exposed a lot of shady stuff that was going on in the HoYoVerse community. And not just regarding Atsu, even Dreamy got exposed recently. It's like the community got purged.

This got so out of hand, just like what happned to the beauty gurus a few years back. Unfortunaly this people ruined a big part of the community and im glad i don't follow any of them anymore. I'll be happier playing my game alone and don't listening to what they have to say.

I had exams, and during that period whenever I opened youtube I just started getting recommended this Genshin Drama 2.0 of Creators fighting... (I already knew the Genshin Rewards Drama) So I thought what could it be about...
Now that my exams are over (more are coming 💀) I finally could think of getting to the bottom of the drama, for which ofc I needed a summary, cause it did seem like really long thing...
Well, now I know how stupid this side of drama was... XD
Basically, just, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :) ❤
The Genshin community already had its underlying problems, with some of them being created by Hoyo themselves the first year they had their anniversary. It was further exacerbated when they made it sound like they wouldn't be adding anymore endgame content. Now realistically, we don't know whether they will or won't, but it's been a good while since they made the statement surrounding endgame content at this point, so many of us aren't holding our breath for it. They also should have known that the difference in how they treat Genshin and Star Rail was going to exacerbate the issue and create a divide.
Then the drama in the Chinese community sparked things up. At this point, though, I think the content creators are more or less secondary, and all they did was remind people that the aforementioned problems exist, but it was enough to make things boil over in the community. Add the further hatred between Tectone and the rest of the community, which was already there two-three years ago, and then throw some other CC's into the mix (Atsu, Brax, Envi), and now the whole community is ten times the shitshow than it was when we made a big deal about the first year anniversary rewards.
Ultimately though, most of the problems in the community started with the decisions made at Hoyoverse, when they knew that there was already a section of their audience that had been expressing their grievances. And sure, it's not Hoyo's responsibility to please everyone, and the community going to war with each other probably wasn't intentional on their part either, but the drama does hurt their image in the long run. I'm not sure just how much they actually care at this point though, especially when they've already made billions of dollars off their player base, and it's not like they're based in the west, anyway. As for the community, I don't think it can be fixed at this point. Some CCs may be able to patch things up, but trust between the larger community and some of these CCs has taken a big hit. I don't think the community as a whole will be the same after this.

PTSD doesn’t just include war (I went through a traumatic event in college, won’t explain what as a) it’s triggering and b) even though it was years ago, it’s still hard to think about; went to a counselor years later and got diagnosed). Point being that PTSD isn’t just exclusive to war-related events. Not saying Envi is right for using it (he’s not), but you don’t use it in a context like this

Yeah this, the community for the game that I'm in on a private forum is totally fine. The CC community for it, as well as always twitter, is just full blown drama and personal attacks that have little to do with the game itself a large chunk of the time. Just big loud assholes being just that
I know people that go working hard and they dont have time to watch stupid content creator like tectone or some other that make dramas all the time. Because they are sick in the head to not do good content. If you see that as entertaining that you are the problem.
Genshin Impact Global Community wants unity but they got Content Creators Civil Wars instead 😅; Mihoyo did a great job on completing their Objectives. Mission accomplished, now they looking forward for the Chinese New Year with lesser problems 😅

I'm truly disappointed. I'm not playing genshin since almost 1 year and maybe I'm returning because the pyro archon... But I follow envy since day 1 and had so much respect for him for being that friki pro f2p min/max genshin player, I'm also f2p and followed a lot of jiw guides. Now all is ruined because drama

I've been on Brax's livestream before and he was really nice and accommodates all of his watchers regardless if they are subbed or not.
As someone who doesn't watch any RUclipsrs or streamers, I wasn't aware of any ruination lol. Unless you mean the "Genshin content creator community" in which case that's kinda specific & who cares, it's not like teen girl drama can prevent anyone from uploading videos if they actually want to.

Being part of the hoyoverse community is just embarrassing at this point. I just wish Hoyoverse didn't go mainstream so that there's less of these garbage drama.
I buy and large blame a handful of clout chasing drama baiting creators for shitting things up in the past 6 months or so. The game has its own issues, but still plenty of strengths that outweigh them IMO but the content creators bickering and just going mental and encouraging their fans to go mental is the worst thing about it right now

Honestly, Atsu always gave off this vibe, especially in the vids where he's at cons. I used enjoy viewing his content, Jake/Tuonto was the main reason, he was starting to pop off, then Atsu got his claws into him. Same for Dish, & Fob. They all had budding careers before Atsu reeled them in, became the mad puppet master. Everything Atsu ever claimed about Teccy, is more true about Atsu himself.

What i got from it was... Atsu thought he was untouchable and called tectone out, Envy is soft as heck and the internet isnt the place for him, Atsu has treated people badly every now and then over the years but that adds up. Tectone has finally been proven right

I believe that all of them have problems they need to deal with along side the long 3 year tension with all of them. as for envi who isn't really suppose to be in that drama painted tectone as villain while bringing up his ex marriage into this issue. we all know that teccy isn't really good guy or a bad guy well for the most part, he can be kind to people that are kind to him and he can be an asshole with someone who tries to mess with him or his friends(this is only my opinion but the majority of his community will agree) altough I really don't have any problems with certain ccs such atsu,envi and brax who are involved in this drama I can say that all of this would not have escalated if they just ignored each other. it is fucked up that brax was treated like that and I hate that atsu did that, like the dude was just asking why you distrust him and he can't give a straight answer. he was trying to make friends, almost all of this cc's have some fault in this drama and THE REWARDS ARE VERY DISAPPOINTING EVEN TO THIS DAY. So Boycott genshin and make them realize how they are treating their community. so vote for your wallet, no one would stop you for using your money to purchase in the game. But if we need to let hoyoverse know that we are serious we need to either just uniinstall the game or atleast don't spend money on GENSHIN not Honkai impact or Star rail JUST GENSHIN. also if these cc's can't take criticism from other people, it's better to just ignore them instead of creating BS lies in twitter(X) and making other people look bad that may result in their career
I saw this differently.. when Atsu was asked why he distrusted.. He did gave a straight answer- however he did not know how to word it.. He was saying in Asmongold's stream.. that when Atsu met Brax for the first time.. Brax started the conversation (without a greeting?) with a rumor that someone in the Genshin Staff is a child pred.. *this is someone who is NOT the Tighnari VA & allegedly still does work for HoYo*.. imo if someone I don't necessarily know came at me with an over the moon rumor like that.. I would too- ghost and avoid them immediately.. Asking someone for a favor to put in word for you isn't necessarily making friends as well.. No normal being starts friendships like that. All of that was allegedly- according to Atsu.. before Atsu had discovered so and so were friends with Tectone (Tectone being blacklisted by HoYo bc he talks a lot of slander & that is why HoYo & all their diff game devs aren't listening to any of Tectone's criticism *bc hes blacklisted I assume they dont see his content at all*) Atsu def confided in his friends about the weird first interaction and his friends too seemingly agreed behind the scenes that- that said interaction was weird & they all probably assumed Brax was the type of guy that goes and around and spreads rumors that probably arent true (usually the type of people anyone want to avoid & the type to distrust in the first place unless those said rumors were to be confirmed true but they in fact never were & the staff member that was mentioned apparently isnt confirmed to be innocent or guilty.. let alone questioned..) Knowing Brax isn't friends with any of them & was at the time a new content creator looking to get sponsored by HoYo.. going up to people like that spreading a rumor that isnt even confirmed to be true nor false is ofc not okay & esp if its about something that isnt your business to talk about either.. I'm literally siding with Nobody.. Teccy is not a good nor bad person, Atsu is also not a good nor bad person, Brax is also not a good or bad person.. I just saw this as Brax making a mistake that snowballed into something bigger unintentionally & the fact Brax kept trying to enter Atsu's bubble after Atsu placed boundaries also made it worse.. At the same time I feel like Brax just wanted answers & fit in at the same time but messed that up with the said discussed interaction inside Asmongold's stream (where he interviews them all)... Its a lot to unpack. I agree with you that they're all terrible and should boycott Genshin to get them to actually treat their playerbase better...

They all need to grow up. This is high school level drama x 3. TBH and going back in time, I never cared for AsianGuyStreams for some reason (just gave off this fake aura to me) so never watched him. Tectone I took him for what he was, a former wrestler so you need to get that part of his onscreen schtick was over the top loudness. I think only Dish was one I ever watched. If I was her, I'd slowly disassociate myself from Atsu's clique because folks like that will lie, project, and deflect while trying to put on this "I'm innocent facade".
Braxophone I had no clue who he was until this drama since I don't exactly watch all of these guide makers. But I decided to go and watch some of his videos. After reading his long document, I wouldn't have known he had suffered from depression and social anxiety disorder given how well he presents himself. And according to what others like Mtashed said when they met him, they never got those vibes that he was socially awkwards in person. What's that saying about first impressions? I don't believe he is the main problem in all this.
As an asian like Atsu though (and how I didn't care for him early on), I remember how cliquish many could be back in high school and part of this reminds me of that bullshit because in retrospect, that is the kind of vibe he gave to me early on (I just couldn't put my finger on it back then). But what has come out, makes sense to me. And if "asian mafia" vibes are coming across with how much influence he seems to have with Hoyoverse, then yeah, Hoyoverse is also part of the problem by allowing themselves to be manipulated by one of their partner content creators in this manner. It's unprofessional all around (but that seems to be an issue on the business side of the company).
The designers, story writers, graphic artists; they all do a bang up job. The higher ups in the management and executive ranks however are where the bad news is; they are just watching their account values increase, and don't really care about most feedback from anyone because they just think differently and believe they are too big to fail (which is why there is this tendency for that big fall to happen; look at Blizzard Entertainment and how that whole facade fell apart in the past few years). That is why many of us say the only solution to getting a companies attention, is voting with your wallet by not spending any money (because that is the only time the executive leadership goes into panic mode). And I'm sorry, but when content creators (many who are the definition of the whales that these companies utilize as their barometer) continue to do just that (for the sake of making guides), then it sends a signal to those same execs that they do not have to change course. And guess what, most of these content creators aren't going to sacrifice their livelihood to stand on that hill.
