Furniture in Progress: Bargueño Desk

In my everyday life, I have to wear a lot of hats, but occasionally I get to be a studio furniture maker. This is an update on what I'm working on- my contemporary take on a Renaissance Spanish furniture form called a bargueño desk.

Any plans to show the process of building a piece of anything? I’d love to see you go through the motions of a build.

I'm still *very* new to videography and so I'm still trying figure out how to film a build without slowing my already time crunched workflow to a crawl. That, and my current project was started about 7 months prior to my channel, so even if I did start filming that process, it would have no "beginning" to it. 🤷‍♂️ I do want to work toward that eventually though.

Really beautiful, and I appreciate the breakdown of what you’ve done as far as design and high-level build. This is a niche that needs filling, IMO: I don’t need instruction on cutting dovetails; I need to see some great ideas and work from others where I can use those dovetails. How do you attach the leather? I’ve had only short-term success with gluing before failure.

I've never had a problem gluing leather to wood with liquid hide glue, fwiw.
