      It is a nice town indeed. But like any other town or city, it has its moments, especially homelessness. It's all over California unfortunately. Eureka has plenty of potential and I do not mind visiting it and the surrounding areas again.

    Beautiful walking tour! My daughter was gonna move there for school but we read so many bad things about the typical complaints from people, homeless, drugs yada yada. What concern me was people saying there is a lot of white supremacy there. Ok in this video didn’t see a single thing I read about. I really got to stop reading negative peoples things.

    • @ExplorationToGo
      @ExplorationToGo  Год назад

      Yeah, I dont know about those stories, it seems like a decent area to live, especially outside the downtown area towards Sequioa Park. Maybe try visiting for a couple weeks that way you and your daughter get a better sense of the area. Thanks for the comment by the way, really appreciate it 🙂

      @@marciejade1408 I feel like that is common and unfortunately more in light if you are vocal and active against their views. My town we have a lot of different groups of white supremacy. So much we have posters of propaganda .

    I live in Europe, and this is so strange to see, that if such a nice day as this was here, there would be many people out walking around outside, even considering a population of a town such as this.

    I lived in Eureka for over 10 yrs I can you from experience that almost every town there is a nicer place than Eureka. Not that it’s with out its charms and the zoo is a highlight as well as sequoia park next door but Ferndale is a much nicer place for a walking tour.

    • @ExplorationToGo

    I came to Eureka and Arcata after just seeing how cool it looked on google maps. I was pretty sad when we got there and it was basically some kind of transient hobo meth town or something. The homeless literally outnumbered everyone else in the town square. Sad, so much potential for this area.

    • @ExplorationToGo
      @ExplorationToGo  2 месяца назад

      Yeah, its sad. But its like in a lot of towns and cities in California unfortunately. Hopefully things will turn around, soon.

    • @ExplorationToGo

      I believe Arcata has a nice school district. And some towns outside of Eureka as well, such as Fortuna and Freshwater. It is best to search on Google 😀

    Not sure how you didn't include the homeless and drug problem? I lived in Eureka for 5 years from 2015-2020 and theirs a huge homeless, drug and crime/ theft problem there. Its a beautiful area humboldt county is gorgeous, but downtown Eureka, not so much!

    • @ExplorationToGo
      @ExplorationToGo  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I have noticed that and have avoided those areas, like every other place I visit there are not so pleasant areas. There will be times in my channel where I will explore the bad areas, but Eureka seems too nice of a place to show the bad areas.
