All things considered, I'm pretty happy with the S22 after a couple months. Feels super nice in the hand, compact, I like the bricky design a lot (maybe in that one I'd like iphone's edges even more, but the sort of matte glass back finish absolutely nails it against iphone's shiny glass, looks more premium imo, so that's 1:1). Camera's pretty good, usage wise i haven't yet encountered any lags and stutters, calls quality is being very good, speakers I almost never use (got headphones for that), but they are somewhat solid, though not really a high end music station - but that's to be expected from a phone speaker. Overall a solid experience and I won't be switching soon.
One downside to the phone. I used to go with S10 lite as my daily option, a much bigger phone that had a battery capacity of 4500 mAh without being as cutting edge in tech as S22 is (although it was still a good piece for the price!) so I was used to eaaasily getting through the day with like 50-60% battery left. On S22, with AoD, the 120 Hz adaptive display, never holding back on apps usage, reading books on it whenever i can etc. I can barely get through a workday of 8 hours (if it doesn't actually die before that mark) and that's after unplugging it from a charger at 100% before leaving and my obsession with the screen being at minimum brightness most of the day. If i charge my phone to full and just leave it at my bedside at night it goes down to like 90% overnight + another 5-15% listening to music or reading on my way to work (so I start my morning coffee at work with like 76% left already). I legit always carry a charging brick with me, although it does easily charge up from the 30-50 ish % to like 90 in half a hour if not less, so I usually just plug it for a moment at some point of my day and leave home with a full charge. Now, I barely use it at home, so with only minimal usage and AoD on it easily gets to the night with like 60-70% left. Again not only I abuse it most of the time I'm outside, it also is one of my worktools (photos, calls, emails and all the other stuff), so it might be a little better for an average user.
TL;DR: S22's great if you don't mind charging it twice a day or you aren't a super heavy user. Battery life's awful compared to bulkier, more battery life focused smartphones. I'm still happy with it though! Just making sure I always have a charger in my backpack : D

Samsung display brightness can go as high as 1200 nits! compared to 800nits of iPhone 13. This, together with 120Hz display, explain the battery draining compared to iPhone. The difference between them is really noticeable, and I don't mind if the battery drains a bit faster on the s22 , it still does have a decent battery life, and being able to shoot videos in 8k is pretty cool , along with the in display finger print scanner which is really convenient. The 45w charging is pretty good. In my country the s22 costs significantly lesser than the iPhone 13 pro. And there's no way I would buy the 13. S22 is more value for the buck .
@@themayomonster. I mean it really depends on your usage and preference what you need in your phone. I agree. The Galaxy 22 has a lot more bang for the buck. At first glance, the iPhone has nothing over the Galaxy 22, but maybe a little battery time. As always, I'm eager to see how long it holds up. In other words, what kind of reviews will each get in a year? Not that I think my puny (free) Thinq 40 will last that long.
Good review, I agree with a lot. I mean I have both the 22 ultra & 13 pro max…
However, the 60 Hz that you mentioned comparing the faster iPhone and it’s display that you say doesn’t provide the same quality as sammy cuz of display limits… Yes/no-the lacking display probably increases the speed of the iPhone with less tasking to the hardware-hence better perf, batt etc.. though I obviously love the Samsung display over the iPhone…
Comparing cameras count and specs, the iPhone is perceived as having the smoothest Cam app experience (compared to the jankity Sammy), wider ultra wide-tho what’s better img qual?, closer macro, better x3 portrait and best video recorder to AnY phone-including to Sammy’s 8k gimmick.. though I do prefer the front facing cam S22-iPhone always makes me look bad. don’t forget Dolby Vision support etc compared to my Sammy’s HRD10+ that is stuck on “labs” toggle and greyed out(?).
I wasn’t really thinking I would give a crap about the brighter display but it is actually nice. Both are basically comparable this year. Were last year I might’ve given it to the S 21 ultra.

@@229Mike Iphone with about 450 ppi,Samsung with 500 ppi, nearly equal. You can always set your display to 1080 p in Samsung.
Is your S22 getting "hot" as well?
Watch by my 13pmax , Super smooth phone , batt last 2days easily , But it too big & heavy.
Gona buy this S22 as my daily driver🤷♂️ 6.1 inch and below 170gram… 240gram of 13pmax is crazy.
Samsung is better
I know everyone has a preference but I gave the iPhone a try and I just can't I quickly started missing the features on the Samsung and went back to it it just feels so boring and so strict....
finally someone who knows what he says unlike many who are out there saying that the iphone 13 is better just because of the brand🙄
@iDung💩 exacly dont know that have better options on the market 🙄
I told u guys this year fanboys gonna celebrate u see 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
This phone takes breathtaking photos, seriously sunsets and night outs have never looked so good. It's also shockingly lightweight, like it was designed for my hand. But let's be real, life happens and scratches are the enemy of a sleek phone. Enter my secret weapon: a gadgetshieldz TPU shield for both the screen and body. It's practically invisible, so it feels like the phone itself, but keeps those annoying nicks and scratches at bay. Now I can adventure with my S22 without a single worry!
U showed the iPhone 12 most of the time
I really like how good S22 looks but apple has best ecosystem that's the only factor that makes most to choose apple iPhone over Samsung
best ecosystem, best build quality, best performance, best battery and the list goes on..🙂

3:50 how come you didn't mention the Samsung ecosystem, you know the one with the galaxy watch, tab, tv and book all with one ui ?
I think s22 is more comparable with iPhone 13 pro because of 120hz display.
Yeah but the price.
Nah, compare them at their price ranges
Wow, just because 13p doesn't have that at the same price so compare it with the one that has it even at a higher price...typical fanboi logic...
Lol itna bhi nhi
the iphone 13Pro will make S22 bleed in all aspect..🙂
S22 can go from 48hz to 120hz
The S22 Ultra can actually go from 1hz to 120hz.
@coffin so get the Ultra duh
@coffin puck your apple
Ultra is LTPO unlike standard and + models.
Samsung needs to address the overheating from the s22 and the battery life. Other than that great phones.
That's more the fault of the processors than the phone itself. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a hot boi but the Exynos 2200 is a toaster
@Connor yes, but processors are part of the phone. Apple perfected theirs, Samsung needs to work with Amd and Google to truly optimize the experience.
@@TheZayzoo That's exactly what I'm saying, the phone's cooling solution isn't the problem, the SOCs r. Also Snapdragon is property of Qualcomm, not Samsung, while Exynos is
Also Samsung *did* work with AMD on the Exynos 2200
when did u used that phone?
How long have you been using the phone?? This is not S21.
That red though on the regular 13. Why can't we cant that nice of a red on the S22?
I said the same when I saw this render. If they had that type of red on the s22 series it would sell like crazy
Good review, I am a phone enthusiast and I have owned a lot of phones Samsung , HTC , LG , Huawei , Xiaomi , One Plus , Sonny , iPhone and Pixel. No matter what there is aways a difference between iPhone and the rest of the android world . There are little things which makes iPhone better ( don’t get me wrong there are things which are annoying on the iPhone) but I am talking about like how when you take a picture even in low light there is no shutter lag and the picture is almost never blurry, apps are really well optimised and animation and smoothness is on another level , when I compare my s22 ultra with my iPhone 13 normal version
Yes Samsung seems to move faster when scrolling but not smooth
Like it’s hard to describe but when you compare both you see that it’s 120hz but not quite right since iPhone is 60 but still more smooth just slower when scrolling.. it’s hard to describe. I am not saying that android is not good it depends what you use it for. I like cloud gaming which is fine on Android but sucks on iPhone, I like the side loading of apps and also emulators like switch and the new ps2 .. things that we will probably never see on an iPhone. However Apple gives the experience which most people that use their phone for social media and pictures is enough for them and better
Really considering both phones, but i want to try an android after about 3 iPhones. Even at the same price i think ill try the s22 because of the bigger screen and the fact I haven’t had an android device since like 6 years ago. And also the fact that now i could buy one that has 256gb for a little bit more than an iPhone 14/ 14 plus.
Can you do a bit more comparison. Like speaker test, camera test and other comparisons instead of the advertisement and looks? It will be more interesting and want to actually se the results. I see some people that are disappointed in s22 ultra
Samsung appreciation video
But check the battery longlivity and the chipset..
The thing is that
It doesn't matter people would still buy the iPhone 13
Only those who are absolute idiots.
I am a samsung user, never had an iphone. I just bought the 13 pro.
Im not a brand fanboy and i think that both phones have things to offer, and I will still make use of both.
@@arturmd1642 oh wow a decent person in the comments section this is unprecedented lol
Everyone else screaming fanboi and isheep etc
Is it weird that I use a pixel to flip iphones and take advantage of the hype culture?
No, its smart. Apple has done a number on its users. A Flagship android is just as premium and more capable in many ways compared to the iPhone, however many people base their phone choices off “hype.” They are still comparing IPhones to $150 android phones.
While the Apple ecosystem is great, many people only have an iPhone, which by itself is a reliable but boring, uncustomizable OS. I have the Z3 fold (S22 Ultra on preorder), S8 ultra tablet, galaxy watch, and windows laptop. I am just as productive if not more as my friends that feel stuck in the Apple ecosystem.
I like Samsung absolutely killing iPhone
killing iPhone…🤔🤔 in what?…iPhone had the best optimization, best performance, best build quality, best chipset, best os,best battery and the list goes on…you aren’t from this planet I guess..🙂
Killing it with features and opmizateton
@@lanceolerich2535 with gimmicks and half baked features. Optimization???😂😂🤣. This word doesn’t fit Samsung at all..iPhone had the best optimization, best performance, best battery, best os, best chipset, best battery and the list goes on…go and inform yourself…🙂
Hey bud if you rocked a Samsung as long as I have you would know it's clean AF
Me hating life because this damn S22 can't stay alive more than 8 hours under heavy use with 120hz. Just ordered an iPhone 13 I'd rather have crappy refresh rates with a batter that can last all day
You can switch the refresh rate on the S 22 to 60 hz in the settings if you prefer better battery life
The iPhone with the green wallpaper is not the 13 tho. Why would you add it to this video?
Ok , but what about battery life? Samsung lying about 10-120 Hz? Overheating Snapdragon gen1? Please be more objective , this way you sound like you are getting paid by Samsung.
Samsung solve overheating very well. But you have point about screen and batery life. Batery life should be okay but not as good as Ip13. Still I will choose s22 over any iphone
Have hurd you can fried an egg 🍳 on the S22ultra when heavy use or while playing games…🍳🍽…Fanboys say Samsung is First to do it😂😂🤣🤣
Great battery life test, I'm surprised the Samsung beat the Apple! Although the comparison of beach Pictures shows the Apple does have a slight camera advantage.
all down to preference cameras are extremely close this year
