    I put the flip front on my pipeliner and now one of the bottom corners of my hood is all flexed out like the hood is warped. When I put the front on it seemed like it wasn't a great fit to the original shape of the hood to begin with. Have you had any problems with that? If so, how did you fix it?

      Sounds like the hole you cut out may be too small, you want it snug but it does need room to freely move without being jammed up.

      @@Jacob-bk4md looks like I did different measurements on the last 2 I have done. The one from the video was about 2” from the center of the throat and tapers out to a point to about 1/16”. The other has the same taper but I took about 2-1/2” to a taper. Guess it depends on your chin. But if you are adding leather even if you cut it short you are still fine. I have seen guys cut them completely across about 2” above and below the lens window. Lots of room for custom but the top measurement is more important to keep arc rays out. Hope this helps bud.

    Whats that tool you used called

    • @thesteamfittersgarage3098
      @thesteamfittersgarage3098  Год назад

      The cutting tool was a Dremel with a cutting disc, they are just small end grinders. If you have never used one I strongly suggest wearing eye and face protection.
