Get a soft hood that has the adjustable headband in it. Take the headband out. It will drop over a hardhat and the lens wont lay on your nose. Secure to brim of hardhat with elastic loops. (from off dust masks) If you need to get into a really small hole, remove hardhat and secure on head with the elastic loops. Nice thing is that there is plenty of room for a respirator.

I have been welding for 17years,I do like these new hoods but my one complaint is that the leather does get heavy and starts to stink and you realy can't clean it once it curls.....From welding in the oilfield and for the IronWorkers/Shop work.

Their crazy price is why I can't justify spending that much. I understand workmanship is gonna cost you , but when they main component of your hood is sources from china or whatever other cheap labor country you can get it from and then the part you do is put some rivets and fancy leather on it, it just doesn't feel like that is enough to make it that expensive.

just got the brown floral leather hood from Outlaw and i’m going to have to double layer it, the leather is of good quality but it’s thin flimsy and creases extremely easy and ive only used it 2 times, when i’m sideways the leather is so thin it folds and gives zero protection on the Side of my neck.
i’m going to remove the rivets add matching piece of leather on the back side so it holds its form without it collapsing in. the design fit and finish is nice, just not thick enough leather to hold itself straight.
