Works perfect! Watched this video and I did it myself in about 20 minutes. My FM Tiger hood is so much more comfortable and a lot more adjustment options. Thanks for the video and the help.
I always trim down the tabs on the lift front to keep from getting caught on projections. Will be getting the miller headgear as the fiber metal headgear is a weakpoint on the helmet. Always carry spares and it doesn't hold on your head so good. Thanks for the tips
The headgear out of the box fit onto the pipeliner does not work well at all. It doesn't flip up high enough and because of that it can't hold the weight of the hood up and falls down very easy. What i did was trim the tabs down that stop it from going any higher and now its perfect. It will flip all the way up like it used to with the old headgear.
Go to their union and talk to somebody. Train yourself. Boilermakers are professionals in the trade. Very skilled mofos. You gotta be good. Get your name out there and shove your boot in the door. I think they have a website to talk to a rep or someone.

How did you get Rick Grimes from the walking dead!! As your helper
😂😂😂
Just so all of y'all know, this method works perfectly up through the gen 3.5 gear, the gen four doesn't due to a lack of bolts on the side
Cool tips Josh keep up the videos doing a great job bro 🤙🏽
You know you come from a different generation when you classify a 15 minute video as "Long"
@joshua you can use the miller hard hat adapter now instead .

That works great man be safe
I put a Miller Head Gear in my helmet long before this video. It is very uncomfortable. I dislike the Miller's stop lock and angle.
Kevtech733 kennedy_welding Lincoln Electric 3350 headgear is pretty nice in my outlaw leather hood.
@@nburns11 Whatd you have to do to make it fit? Or did it just fit right on the OL hood?

Gonna do this
Those knobs they got aluminum now
Why do you guys chop them just curious
Keeps the hood from hitting the neckwear looking straight down, also makes more low profile for slapping them in a hard hat
Because the damn things have no mercy and will karate chop you in the Adam’s apple.
Cool. I gotta do this.
Guys can you fit Esab Halo headgear in a pipeliner
I’ve gotta try this now
