He might have written it, but he does probably need to read from a script to make sure he doesn't jumble words. That's usually how strokes manifest themselves. They effect speech but not comprehension. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be improving.

Show a little respect for the office that you were elected to, and have some pride in how you look and handle yourself. This is absolutely shameful in the halls of Congress. He is a disgrace.

It’s very difficult to take Fetterman serious when he doesn’t have even take a simple dress code serious. The sentiment is commendable but if he wants to push that agenda further and get people to listen he needs to at least dress in a way that gets people to pay attention.

While I do not "hate" Fetterman for any reason; just look around the room. Everyone, whether they're actively participating or not, are dressed appropriately! Doesn't Mr. Fetterman see that he's standing out even more?! What is his rationale? People are going to take him less seriously. It's clearly a "group conscience" to dress nicely, because everyone else is doing it!

I thought that Florida banned chinese ownership of farmland?? I may be mistaken, but my understanding was that a lot of this farmland was near military installations. Is that true?? If so, then chinese ownership of land SHOULD be banned!!!!

John Fetterman is a disaster and an embarrassment to the people of Pennsylvania which he represents in Congress.
First, immediately upon being sworn in as a new Senator, he disappears from the Senate and it was soon discovered that he was being treated for severe depression. The newly elected Senator is going through deep psychological problems is allowed the time to deal with those problems by being absent from a job representing Pennsylvania for almost 6 weeks -all on the taxpayer’s dime, of course
Upon returning to the Senate Fetterman immediately flaunts the long standing dress code and balks at wearing a coat and tie, instead choosing to dress slovenly in shorts and a hoodie. Another huge embarrassment for Pennsylvania. Fetterman’s decision to bum around the Senate Chamber in hoodies and shorts is a sign of how little Fetterman cares about representing his voters.
He wants everyone to think that his voters are slobs. What’s more, his attire choices are reflective of the same kind of entitlement mentality that defines not the working class of America, but the upper class. Fetterman comes from one of the wealthiest families in Pennsylvania!
It’s a strange world when a US Senator cares so little about professionalism and the image he projects as a representative of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Senate is not just a legislative body but a symbol of our democracy and the values we hold dear as a nation. Fetterman has become a disaster in Congress and has made Pennsylvania a laughing stock.

who here in the comments section believes Trump does not read his speeches from a teleprompter? Same for Biden or any other politician for that matter. With Trump it's always easy to spot when he goes off-script, i.e. off-teleprompter in his speeches (which are written by staffers). If you read Fetterman's questions and the answers to them rather than watched this video, you might consider the issue and decide whether you agree with him or not. As it is, it seems fair to assume the reason Forbes put this video up is not because it cares about China owning US farmland.
