Well done I liked your skepticism regarding the overall outcome the authors were trying to convey in this paper. As always we need more studies.

More seriously: shamans or trained therapists need to be present directly after and you need to be really tripping balls.

Yes, rodents dont have a prefrontal cortex either - msg - monosodium glutamate got approved for human consumption in spite of the brain tumor development in rats. I´m not saying this was smart - however rats are not the same as humans - humans don´t get this effect. But caution must be exercised anyhow

I think anyone would struggle to take psilocybin enough to get any real impacts. Long term microdosing might be an issue. It should be noted that psychedelic farmers usually come from 5HT-2B (cardiac arrest, extreme vasoconstriction, etc) or 5HT-7 (massive thermal regulation failure). There are some other weird outliers with unknown causes of death, or just such bizarre pharmacology like alpha-MT (the amphetamine version of tryptamine, very simple molecular that is a psychedelic, a stimulant, an entactogen, an MAOI, and both a triple releaser as well as triple uptake inhibitor (yeah these two combined with an MAOI make an OD seem easy, but while it has killed the doses were way higher than expected), and it was even used by the USSR as an antidepressant at 10mg doses (microdosing essentially) until they found people were using it to trip and removed it).

Hi, I would like to know your opinion on Nootropic Depots' Cognance which also includes 5HT2A.

    • @rylandavis2976
      @rylandavis2976 4 месяца назад

What do you mean it includes 5ht2a, 5ht2a is a receptor in your body. It's not a supplement or a drug. Some supplements have 5-htp in them, which is basically a precursor to serotonin. Other than that I have no idea what you are talking about

Remains a possibility, but is unlikely with non-chronic use. Might do a video on that at some point.

Fun to listen to science scramble like a terrible tee shot to explain that which has been explained by non scientific minds for decades

  • @gratefulkm
    @gratefulkm 3 года назад +4

Let me throw my non science info in here,
1 As a long time very regular LSD and Mush taker, The most important part is the setting of the experience, And that to put someone in a room in a hospital, give them the drug, then surround them with doctors which control the environment, Would go down as possibly the most ineffective way to take the drug, this would massively affect the ability to relax and let go !
2 LSD has been used on hundreds of thousands of patients from its discovery to its being banned, (at the request of the military) , To keep ignoring this fact, and to comment on LSD as a medicine without incorporating the past is foolish in the extreme
3 You have to understand what happened in San Francisco, When Owsley knocked up 5 million doses of LSD over a few years and distributed it freely, And I mean really really understand. Because this right here is why the authorities freaked ! The Owsley family were not uneducated , they were all top universities kids , they TESTED what Owsley made in thousands of ways to see what enhanced and allowed the drug to reach its fullest effects, they learnt the fastest way's to dissolve your mind and this knowledge was spreading, hence the ban !
4 They have to explain why you can take mushrooms a thousand times and have an experience that you are very familiar with, yet you take mush one time in the right environment with the right music and you change forever and have an experience far far more out there,
5 Which means the drug is only half the story ! Because the effects of the drug can be changed vastly by the setting (music, lights, people, physical movement(do you know you cant get dizzy on mush or LSD ?) and words and language) (To hit this home 8 beers affect A, spin around affect B, 8 beers and then spin around affect C)
6 If you are really here trying to help people, then before you can comment on anything, you need to explain this
    " Dark star crashes
    Reason tatters
The forces tear loose from the axis
    searchlight casting for faults
    In the clouds of delusion
    Shall we go
    You and I
    While we can
through the transitive nightfall of diamonds
    Mirror shatters
    In formless reflections of matter
    Glass hand dissolving
    To Ice petals
    Revolving
    Lady in Velvet recedes
    In night of goodbye
    Shall we go
    You and i
    While we can
    Through
    The transitive
    nightfall of diamonds

@@OttomanSultana it's only theological ignorance that can think! Psychedilcs can be bad. Do they destroy the one consciousness delusion. Yes of course they do. Yes. You are correct. Fun fact about lsd. Without lsd apple sould not be apple. With lsd you can repackage your information more convenient like a .ZIP in silicon valley they still use it.
Even wonder why everyone thing that apple made is that convenient. It close to natural behavior and work excellent. I think it is also a form of evidence that it it not the optinion of anti Apple fans. There it works kind opposite.
