Y cual es el espesor de las planchas de metal. Al final cuanto fue el peso del bumper. Cuando si tienes en mente haras el bumper de atras?
Stick welding, ok, for sheet metal, I've seen some really nice work by other guys, but there are two things I'd like to suggest, number one would be water and welding does not mix, I know a guy who lost his leg because of water and the bad weld it creates. Water main end cap, pressure test, cap blew off, hit manhole came back and took his leg off, along with a few other body parts. Clean, clean, clean, the 3 C's of welding, you will get much better result's if you had a wire brush on a grinder and a hand brush to clean tack welds before putting another one on top of it or beside it. Sand paper etc... and of course a proper chipping hammer, you know, those pointy hammers with a spring handle ??? Cost about $10 here in Canada... Not a bad job for where and how you did it, without too many shop tools, for a backyard job it's not too bad, but I think you will find alot of your welds are going to fail. A mig welder would not make up for a lack of skill and or welding knowledge in general, as some seem to think, I know some guys who put mig welders to shame with a stick welder, old school pipe line welders.
The bumper looks really good my friend, I am an off-roader and I think that the hooks look really good but they are not going to work out, if you ever pull something with it, I don’t think that they are going to be strong enough, just being attach to the plate

ESE DETALLE NO SE LO TOMO EL HERRERO O SOLDADOR. también te comento que esta prohibido en las ciudades este bum per y que en ruta te provoca un gasto mayor de combustible . porque el aire se mete por debajo de la camioneta haciendo que pierdas estabilidad a 120 km/h y no te rinda la camioneta bien . pero si vivís en las montañas hace lo. si no creo que nadie lo hace por este motivo

Te Felicito, quedo muy bien, al principio tenia mis dudas, pero se ve bien , solo para la proxima pondel un tape grueso a los buches, para que no se raye ni se derrita cuando lo punteas, otra cosa te recomiendo que cambies de maquina de soldar, usa mig, para ese trabajo es super facil, despues que la uses ya no vas a querer volver a electrodo, te recomiendo para empezar una millermatic 140 autoset, tremenda maquina a buen precio, puedes usarla con gas o sin gas, depende del alambre que uses. sube mas videos. gracias.
That's a lot of work getting those pieces cut right and welded up like that. I admire your work. Maybe someday I will attempt a bigger project like this with my everlast welder.
I built my Dually flat bed on my channel and that was a task. I am thinking of building one now. Lots of people told me to buy a mig but the arc welder did good.
@@The-GreenHornet I did the entire flat bed and headache rack in 10 gauge or 1/8" sheet metal. The frame is C Channel which is 3 and 4 inch by about 3/16 of a wall thickness. I just uploaded a video on the raptor update and you can see the skirts, fenders and lights I used.

Looks great but would be useless off-road. There's no rear bracing or framing so at some points you could hit them with a hammer and bend them in. Also that sheet seems way too thin to protect against anything except be a deflector. And those recovery points are far too thin. A lot of work and very carefully done but not safe for off-road at all
Good style - I usually do a major sub-frame of 1/4" tube of 3x3 on underside, then I do the creative stuff on top. Does weigh in hefty but I'm not afraid to go to Walmart parking lot - lol
Sorry but the production of the bumper is the 19th century ... I'm doing the last 18 years bumper of ARB technology. At me the bumper on the bottom part consists of 5-6 stamped elements cut by the laser and bent at a factory ..
Those are some really bad welds. Amazing design and it looks great. But if your welds are full of holes and perocity and not a solid hot weld all the way through the seam then it’s not going to be structurally sound. Get a cheap harbor freight mig.

Either those seams aren’t welded out completely or that’s the most pitted welding I’ve ever seen. Either way, it looks cool, however you’d never be able to pull this truck anywhere with it.
