The Celtic Cross Explained: First Point

- The first point to be made is that most meanings we are given for the different positions for the Celtic Cross are confusing or lead to too many difficulties, so we give up. We see the problems in considering that the first card shows "the heart of the matter" and the third card is "the goal or destiny".
Then we see how a Celtic Cross tells us about the past, present and future of the question asked, and this puts the questioner in a strong position to make the most of the situation and enjoy benefits rather than just avoid the bad stuff.
The next video in the series will be about the card in position number 1.

I was immensely grateful that I came across your RUclips videos, loved each one of them. Your in-depth knowledge with the cards, how you understand the changes in their meanings with respect to changes in circumstances. You are a very receptive soul and your long nose only confirms the wisdom you are blessed with. I am not flattering you but I have loved each and every video you have listed on RUclips. I understand that each and every one of us goes through our own individual learning cycle and I suppose as far as my learning graph is concerned, for the past few years I have felt a sense of stagnation in the same. I am grateful I came across your videos, your work speaks for itself. My best wishes and hope you prosper in the days to come. God bless.
I love the sound of your voice John
I second that!!!
In my opinion, the Magician as the first card in the Celtic spread, from the knowledge I was able to gather so far, it could also mean "endless possibilities" or "things that "can be worked out" It all depends on the following cards, I won't read that card as a subject just yet, until I see more of the spread. I always love to hear your voice and the interesting ideas you can come up with. Thank you John :)
I agree the sun cross is the basis of the CC.
However magic goes both ways
John's insights are more about working from below to above. Both ways "work".
I'm impressed with his truly sensitive, understanding approach.
Good to see someone promoting this spread. Hopefully, he will get more ppl on their journey of discovery.
John, you are amazing! Easilybthe best Tarot videos on RUclips. Thanks! :)
really looking forward to this series john...thanks x
+spookyboo22 Good, I hope you enjoyed them all. If you have questions, just let me know.
Thanks John, Your videos are the most practical insight into tarot reading that I have found on youtube. it sounds as if the meanings of positions should be given the same weight as the book definitions of the cards. So that the true meaning of the position is relevant to the question and the surrounding cards. At least that was what came to me as I listened.
Excellent, ThankYou John ✨🙏🏼✨
Celtic history is definitely the most fascinating and mysterious, but so underrated sadly, probably because have little information of them.
Thank you so much :D I am intrigued.
The "TRUE" meaning of the Celtic cross ,is ,the circle in the centre is the "SUN" ,the vertical cross bar is represents the solstices ,and the horzntal bar represents the Equinoxes. This is "NOT" a christian symbol , It "IS" the ancient Pagan symbol for THE ZODIAC.....
I've found this video, part 1, helpful. Have you gone on to part 2. I haven't found the video yet.
Dear Elona: Thanks for your question. I'm not sure if I have done Part 2, but after the next video on court cards at the beginning of February 2015, I'll be doing a new series on the Celtic Cross over the next few weeks.
+Elona Hartjes I'm only just now replying to comments, but yes, the second part is on RUclips, along with the rest of the series.
