    I want that intercooler but pricey. I had the old dpk now have dcr. Can we get an upgrade for Gen 1? Give it to my dad for his.

    I’ve got the old style of this on my 2015… if I hammer the throttle too hard it senses a “bank 1 too lean” code. I wasn’t impressed then and I was rarely able to get ahold of tech support. They used to make tunes too, and now they won’t even do that because of all the issues. Their transmission files are junk, shift like crap. I switched to Proven Tunes and refuse to buy SPE.
    If you want real disaster prevention, switch to the DCR pump. As for the build quality of the parts from SPE, they are always well machined and come with decent instructions. Just don’t expect any help after you pull it out of the box

      Not everyone can afford a DCR pump so this is a more cost effective route rather than spending $2k on one. Never had an issue with asking for help from them and I ask a lot of dumb questions they answer all of them. Suprised you like proven I had them on my 17 and the shifts were horrible, switched to SPE no issues.

      They may have changed over the years due to all the bad feedback, but when I went through them in (I think 2019ish) you couldn’t get ahold of them, multiple people on the forums had shift issues, and they stopped selling tunes. Maybe I’m a little salty from a few bad experiences. My mind could be changed, as it has been 4 years and they’re still cranking stuff out

    Sensor and light is cool…Is the filter a high capacity filter like the s&s DPK return filter or is it the same dime sized flat metal screen?

    • @PowerstrokeRick
      @PowerstrokeRick  7 месяцев назад

      No flat metal screen this one has the sensor tied into it so if there is any contamination it will throw a light on the dash before anything bad happens

    Why anyone would bother with this instead of just getting a S&S DCR pump is beyond me.

    I didn’t like when your kit couldn’t keep up on fuel demand from a hot tune on a stock pump…… you didn’t listen, didn’t try to make it right, I threw it in the trash because I wouldn’t even give that piece of trash to someone for free!
    Go with S&S if you want a quality product with good customer service….. both things SPE has never had!!

      This is version 2.0 of the kit so it seems like some things were taken into consideration and changed up to make an even better version then before?!
