Thank you, thank you, thank you for uploading a Peel show from what must be within days/weeks of me first deciding to listen on past David Jensen's show at 10pm. Remember being frightened as to what world I was entering as a 12 year old (only to find he was like a friend chatting away and playing the music he loved) hiding under the covers with my massive radio to my ear as I was meant to be getting to sleep. I never looked back and Peel was a major inspiration for me as he was for so many others and still miss him now. The world is a worst place without him and could you imagine a show so diverse as his on Radio 1 now?? To be able to lie here in bed listening to an old Peel show from my youth and I think the world and the internet ain't so bad (but the charts are shitter than ever without him!!!!!)

Peel every time, but that's probably why I had to retake my O levels! You were lucky having headphones, don't think I had an adapter to fit my radio.

Incredible mix of emotions listening to John Peel again. My introduction to the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, The Associates, John Cooper Clark, Theatre of Hate etc. and all manner of oddities that made me feel very cool at 14. Excellent, thanks.

I only just found your channel. Just wanted to express my thanks. Im 49 and live in Hanoi, where such cultural gems as John Peel never even rrally existed. Thanks to you , I can transport myself back through nostalgia, to many golden ages of fantastic music, courtesy of the late great man. This recording is particularly exceptional.
